Priscilla's POV

"We've arrived," Liz announced as she stopped the car in front of a four-story building. It wasn't luxurious, but it was exactly what I needed; I didn't want any unnecessary attention. I was the first to get out of the car, followed by the children.

"Wow, this place is big and beautiful!" Tina exclaimed happily.

"Sister Priscilla, are we going to stay here?" Jack asked, his eyes twinkling with happiness. Their expressions were priceless, and I was glad they were happy.

"Of course, we're going to stay here. Do you like it?" I asked, trying my best to smile and forget about all the unnecessary thoughts.

"Yippee, you're the best sister Priscilla!" They all exclaimed happily.

"Now, come on in, let's go, kids," Liz said as she led us into the building. After stepping out of the elevator, Liz led us to her apartment, and after opening the door, we all went inside.

The apartment was painted in a tasteful shade of grey. In the sitting room, there were three comfortable couches, a small coffee table, and a large television mounted on the wall. The kitchen boasted a spacious counter, a modern four-plate stove, a convenient dishwasher, and ample cupboard space. While I haven't had the chance to explore the other two rooms, it is evident that this apartment would make for a cozy and inviting home.

"The place is so welcoming," I said as I looked around.

"I've already had someone do all the shopping for you, including clothes and food that will last you at least a month. Please don't refuse my help. I did everything so that I can relax, knowing that you are fine and getting everything that you need," Liz said. I blinked at her, wondering when she had done all of those things. I had decided to let her help me because I needed it, even if I didn't want to admit it.

"Thank you, Liz. You've done so much for me, and I appreciate it," I said. I didn't know how to thank her for everything she had done for me. I couldn't imagine what I would have done without her.

"Do you know how to cook?" Liz asked, ignoring what I had just said. I swallowed hard at her question. I didn't even know how to fry an egg at my age.

"I don't know how to cook but don't worry. I will manage. You've already done so much for me, and I can do this much," I said truthfully.

"Okay, Priscilla, please take care of yourself. Please, I'm begging you. If anything happens, call me as soon as possible. Remember that you are pregnant. Don't work too hard, have your meals and medicine on time, okay?" Liz said sternly. She looked like my mother the way she was telling me to take care of myself. I nodded my head.

"Good girl. Now I'm leaving. I don't want anyone to be suspicious of me. Max, Nicolas, and Mark were already thinking that I had come to meet you, so be careful, okay? But if you change your mind, just know that you are welcome at home, okay?" Liz said.

I wrapped my arms around her without saying anything. She was betraying her brother for me, and it meant a lot to me. "Thank you, Liz," I mumbled softly, then moved away from her and flashed a smile.

"I told you that you are like my baby sister and I would do anything for you," Liz said. She put her hand in her bag and brought out my ID. "Here is your ID and the keys to the apartment." I took both the keys and my ID card from Liz.

"Thank you," I said. I had no words to thank her for everything she had done for me.

"Take care. I'm leaving now. Bye," Liz said as she made her way out. I waved at her as she walked away.

"Sister Priscilla, can we watch TV?" Tina asked shyly. I smiled at her.

"Of course, come on."I walked over to the coffee table and picked up the remote control. With a press of the green button, I turned the TV on. Setting the remote down, I grabbed another one and scrolled through the channels until I found Disney Junior. It was a channel filled with cartoons.

"You can sit down and watch the TV okay, I need to take a quick shower and change my clothes then I will prepare something for you to eat okay? Don't do anything mischievous, I will be right back."

The five of them were sitting on the couches as I made my way to my room. However, I wasn't sure which room was mine, so I just entered the one between the two. I walked to the closet and opened it to find it filled with branded female clothes, bags, shoes, make-up kits, and lots of body lotions and face products. I wondered why Liz had to go through so much trouble. Sighing, I picked out a pair of leggings, a sweater, and some slippers and placed them on the bed. I then went to the bathroom for a quick shower and returned to my room. After changing into my clothes, I decided to take a nap before heading to the kitchen. I was so tired from walking such a long distance.

Max's POV

{Recommend song for this POV~Bruises ~By Lewis Capaldi ~}

It has been two weeks since I last saw Priscilla's beautiful face. I tried hard not to think about her, but it was impossible. I missed everything about her, from her smile and laughter to the way she thinks. Every detail about her was etched in my mind, and I doubt I have ever missed anyone this much in my life. I couldn't sleep or focus on work, and each passing day felt more unbearable than the last. I have come to realize how deeply I have fallen for Priscilla. It's still hard to admit, but if I don't see her soon, I fear I will go mad.

Even though I managed to take everything from Dave, I wasn't happy. All I wanted was to see Priscilla, to hold her and tell her everything I felt. But first, I need to see her face again. That's all I can think about.

I gulped down another glass of whiskey, feeling the burn in my throat. My hands were shaking as I placed the glass back on the bar table and poured another. I'm trying my best to forget about her, but not even alcohol can help me. The ache in my heart just keeps growing stronger.

I heard footsteps approaching the bar area, but I couldn't be bothered to turn and see who was coming. All I wanted was to drown my pain in alcohol.

"Man! How long are you going to keep drinking like this? You haven't eaten anything in a week, but you insist on drinking. Have you forgotten that you have a company to run?" I recognized the concerned voice of Mark, but I took another swig of whisky, disregarding him completely. All I wanted was to see her face again.

"Max, you need to stop this!" Nicolas interjected.

"I-I will only stop if you bring Priscilla here!" I stammered, taking another gulp of whiskey.

Nicolas quickly snatched the glass of whiskey from my hand. Ignoring him, I grabbed the whole bottle and guzzled it down, not caring if it spilled from the corners of my mouth. I no longer cared about anything else; all I wanted was Priscilla. The ache in my heart was unbearable, a feeling I had never experienced before.

"Max, you can't keep drinking and pitying yourself like this," Mark said harshly, rubbing salt in my wounds. "Have you forgotten that you were the reason why Priscilla left in the first place? If you hadn't insulted her that day, she wouldn't have left."

I threw the bottle of whiskey on the floor with a loud splash and the shattering of glass.

"I know that I messed up, okay? You don't have to remind me of it because I regret it already. I can't stop thinking about her. If I don't drink to forget about her, I'll go mad. I miss her so much that my heart aches, my head pounds with worry, and guilt is eating me alive. I don't even know where she is. Is she okay? Has she eaten? I'm going mad with all these questions swirling in my head," I burst out, tears flowing down my face. I've never felt like this before.

Nicolas embraced me tightly as I wept uncontrollably. I regretted all the harsh words I had hurled at Priscilla and wished I could turn back time. If only I had not let my anger get the better of me. But it was too late now.

"Max, please compose yourself. You cannot let yourself go like this. We will find Priscilla soon, but you won't be able to face her if you are in this state. Take a shower and have something to eat, and then we will look for her," Mark advised, patting my back.

I released myself from Nicolas' embrace and wiped my tears away. "I'll head to my room," I muttered, trying to walk away but I stumbled and fell. I couldn't even stand on my too feet I was too drunk.
