The Growing Darkness Within

On the Ship number 3, five people were all standing on the deck. Four of them were from the Warlock Organization and the last one was Professor Raya, who was the supervisor of ship number three.

The four members from the organization were 'The Beast - Brock' and his three disciples - Rook, Carlos and Sarah.

"Oi Professor! What the hell are you talking about? Why can't I enter, huh!??" Brock was fuming with rage when he heard that he could not enter the island. His presence was so intense that Raya fell on his knees and tears started falling from his eyes.

The reason why Brock could not enter the island was because of a powerful barrier artifact. The barrier's job is to obstruct everyone above the D-Rank from entering the island. Even an (A-)-Rank mage like Brock also couldn't pass the barrier. If Brock were to use his 50% power, then he could have broken the barrier, but this will make his presence known to every teacher around the island. This was the reason, Brock was raging.

"I-I didn't knew that there is a barrier placed on the island. M-Mr. Brock, I swear I didn't knew!! " Raya who was on his knees, started thinking of a possible solution for this blunder.

A solution came to his mind eventually. A glint of light appeared in his eyes and he said,

"Sir, I know a way to bypass the barrier!"

"How?"

"At the core of this monster island, there is a lake. Around this lake, there is a linked teleporter artifact. If you can ask your students to go to the lake, take the teleporter and with the teleporter come to this ship. Then we all can use the same teleporter to go back to the lake. At that time, the barrier won't work. And once we are inside, we can use our own barrier as we already planned."

"Your students are all in the D-Rank, aren't they? I have some spare wrist devices, through which they can easily enter the island."

When Raya finished his explanation, he looked towards Brock and then his disciples.

Brock remained unfazed after hearing the solution, but suddenly his disciple Sarah pulled his sleeves, as if wanting the permission to say something.

"What? You wanna do it?" Brock asked bluntly.

This time, Carlos stepped forward and said,

"Master, let us do it! We will be back with the teleporter within two days. We can even take that Elliott guy and bring him here with us!!"

"Aaah!"

As soon as he said that, Rook smacked him from the behind.

"Sorry Master, for letting this idiot talk. But I also want to go to the island and fight the monsters as well as the students. Please Master, can you let us go. . . ."

Sarah also looked at Brock with a gaze that absolutely agrees with Rook.

"Haa! Fine. I'll let you go and have you bring the teleporter here. But confronting with Elliott and his group is absolutely forbidden. And I want you to come exactly on the fourth day of the camp."

Brock let out a sigh. His disciples were his only family and he really loved them dearly. All three of them were siblings. Carlos and Rook were the twins, born from Brock's elder sister while Sarah was the only daughter of his younger sister. Both of his sister's and their families died in a monster outbreak, which happened due to negligence of the Association.

On that day, all three siblings were staying with Brock, so they all survived but became orphans at the tender age of three and two. Since then, Brock has been taking care of his nephews and niece. He never told the three that he was their uncle, he only told them that they are all siblings and he is their master.

This was the time when Brock decided to join the organization. He quickly climbed the ladders and reached the top, as one of the pillars of the organization. This was also to make the lives of his nephews and niece easier.

Each of the three siblings carried an A-Grade weapon, B-Grade defensive artifact, High graded potions as well as high quality gears.

"It's decided then, Raya! give them the entry devices and send them to the monster island. I will come back on the fourth day, with all the necessary preparations. And. . . . . . You know what to do with those dead bodies right!"

Brock pointed his finger to the seven dead bodies of the ship crew, he slaughtered earlier.

"I will do my job, Sir!"

With this, Brock went away and his disciples were send to the island. Now, what awaited them was the fourth day of the camp.

In the middle regions, three students were fighting against the soldiers of 'Blizzard Ants'.

Garrett, Sami and Felix were going through a desert like environment when suddenly a dozen huge ants showed up.

They quickly realized where they were and who was in front of them.

"F**k!! How could these be their territory? Sh*t, we are screwed!!"

'To think we straight up went to the core of enemies fortress. This is not good!'

Garrett knew something was off as they didn't encounter any monster since they started their journey on the desert area.

The desert was not a real desert, but in fact it was the Anthills, homing one of the top three predators of the middle and the inner regions.

This was the home of 'Blizzard Ants'.

The desert stretched out all the way till the inner regions. At the end of the desert there were huge tower like structures.

In these tower structures, the kings and the Queen of the blizzard ants resided.

The ants that are currently blocking the path of Garrett's party are low ranked soldier ants. It was not that of a difficult situation for Garrett and his team, but the real trouble would come after they are done with these soldier ants.

In a colony of blizzard ants, there is a strict heirarchy. The Queen sits on the top, followed by her various kings. These kings also work as personal bodyguards of the queen. Then comes the noble ants, then the soldier ants and at last the worker ants. The number an average colony of ants contain can be estimated in ten thousands, most of which are the worker ants.

Soldier ants are the main fighting force of the colony. Only the Kings and the Queen is stronger than a high ranking Soldier ant. The majority of Noble ants cannot fight, while the entirety of worker ants cannot fight.

Garrett was in a pinch, the fight had already started and over half of the ants were killed by his him and his party.

If Garrett killed every one of the ants then more and more will keep coming for them. The option of escaping the desert is also not in option as they were already quite deep inside the desert. Unless they could fly over the desert or strike a deal with a higher rank noble ant, the escape otherwise would be impossible.

The fear of Garrett soon came true. Around fifty Soldier ants stood before them now and they were not happy to see their comrades dead and injured. It was going to be an inevitable fight between the two sides.

'F**k it!!'

"Sami! Is it ready?" Garrett asked Sami, who was preparing for an advanced spell.

"Not yet!!" Sami, the advanced spell caster replied.

After hearing the reply from Sami, Garrett was now tensed. Right now they were fighting a mob of over fifty with just two damage dealers. No matter how strong the two are, once they are surrounded by the mob, it's game over for them.

Sami is an advanced spell caster. The difference between the likes of Sami and Jim is like the difference between heaven and earth. An advanced spell caster can do all the basic elemental spells, regardless of their constitutional essence element. They can even cast layered spells in the elementary and basic levels. But the main factor of difference between a normal spell caster like Jim and the likes of Sami is that he can use advanced spells.

Spells in general is separated in four categories. The first is the elementary level. All the non-spell caster's skills are under this category. A spell caster can learn every elementary skill with right guidance.

The second is the basic level. Basic level spells can only be casted by spell casters. Non-casters cannot use this spells directly unless they learn it from a spell caster. A normal spell caster can cast all the basic spells within their elements.

The third is advanced level. Only Advanced magic casters and Grand magic casters can use this. For both of them, they can only use the spells within their elements. And the number of spells that an advanced and the grand spell caster can learn is fixed. They can only learn two advanced spells in their whole life.

The last one is world level. This can only be casted by Grand magic casters. This also has a fixed slot. Only two spells can be learned by the individual in his respective element.

Sami was the strongest spell caster among his class. The element he had manifested was Earth.

The spell Sami was casting right now was { Death of Land }. This spell causes an area wide earthquake, which will firstly put all the ants fighting against Garrett and Felix in a bad position and secondly, it would make all the tunnels beneath the sand dunes fall. This will result in the directly crushing most of the underground ants to death. This will also create an opening for them to run away.

Moments passed and the situation of Felix and Garrett turned to worse. They couldn't hold on to the frenzy of ants anymore.

"Felix!! Behind your backkkk!!" Garrett shouted as an ant snuck behind the back of Felix and was about to stab him through the chest. Garrett himself was occupied with the ants, so all he could was to let Felix know the situation. But it was too late to dodge now for Felix.

But at that moment,
