Chapter 7

After walking me to the door of the room, he turned around walking back to where we once came from. I was glued to the door I didn't even feel a thing I was just watching Athan's retreating figure

I felt heat creep up to my head which was already weighing tons on my shoulders.

He must have sensed something because He lingered in the dark hallway before looking my way.

"Good night"; he whispered calmly and disappeared with super speed vanishing from my sight.

I pulled the handle walking inside straight to the bathroom turning on the faucet I dropped to the corner of the tub to cry my heart out.

The running water hid my sobs very well as I didn't want to raise alarm to either Athan or his cousin.

After a few hours I turned off the shower to walk back to the room. I plopped down at the far end of the angled glass window getting a clear view of the pitch darkness outside. Through the huge glass I could see the crescent moon shining in it's glory.

I couldn't get my parents out of my mind. I wondered for their safety and April's too.

I brought my knees to my chest hugging my lower body with my hands. I buried my face between my knees as few silent tears escape my eyes until a blanket of blackness overpowered my lids.

I woke up to a feeling of heat, like something burning my back and the side of my face. Slowly raising my head and eyelids the bright day light took a chance to sting my eyes before I used my free palms to hide my face away from the burning rays.

I stood up and that's when the side effects of sleeping on the floor For a whole week took on me. My whole body felt like a cramp pool, every muscle of my body stung like a bitch.

I raised my hands above my head to stretch but it only made the cramps worse.

I ambled to the large glass window to get a peek of outside. I saw huge grass land a thousands square yards of land. Was this an estate? With a lake in it? It always crossed me.

The remarkable pool that flowed calmly to the end of the land. The green trees standing around as the sun does justice to embellish their shade. The neatly trimmed grass and garden plus the arrangement of common and rare flowers, Others I don't know of.

This part of the big house is breathtaking but sadly It doesn't replace the cozy feeling of my home.

Staring at the landscape masterpiece that cost a fortune of my whole clan put together if my Math honors aren't failing me right now, a certain hibiscus caught my attention.

It was definitely a wild flower with a unique mixture of colors. The white petals that grew facing the grounds gave little tastes to the rosy pink petals that sprouted upwards revealing a small black center. It looked remarkably delicate. It's beauty blended with complexion but the only reason being it stood out on it's own. It was the only one of it's kind.

Tearing my eyes from the wild plant to the glittering silver of running water at the far end of the land. The left side of the lake shore was naturally covered by thick short grass and a few tall oak trees.

While the right side had a huge spacious grass land and a wooden park bench. It looked absolutely beautiful I was always a sucker for nature. A faint smile covered my lips and I whispered the only words running through my head these past few days I got here.

"I miss you guys... So much"

A lone tear escaped my eye, I wipe it away as soon as it falls just then the heavy knocks on the door grabbed my attention.

I took tentative steps to the door, opening a fraction of it to find an impatient looking blonde.

"Lenora... Good morning " She beckoned at me lovingly Where I settled for a head nod instead. I didn't know who she was anyway.

She walked in with almost ten shopping bags which I hadn't noticed until now, balanced on her either arms.

She looked enthusiastic about something since she was full of energy, I could feel it from here.

"How was your beauty sleep..? By the way I'm Fayyana but they call me Fayy.. so Fayy is better.."

She said it all in one breath and a wink. I was still gaping at Fayy ,Fayyana whoever she is. By the looks of it she was my age mate, her natural sun kissed skin tone complimented her short curved body which she had enhanced height with the four inches ankle heels.

The mid distressed blue boyfriend jeans with a designer white tank top which made her boobs more noticeable. She looked like a model on holiday.

She was blowing bubbles with the chewing gum rolling between her teeth now and then.

"So are you ready for the change?" She asked more exited to my horror.

"What change..??" I asked baffled

"You do realize that you need cloths if you're staying here? I'm not sure if Athan spared you even a few minutes of packing did he..?"

How would he Let me pack, that douche injected me with vovaine, woke up to this hell hole. He kidnapped me unconscious how the hell would I arrange a few cloths. If it were up to me would've chosen Ryner's dungeons.

The quicker I know my fate the better.

"snapped out.. really quick." I replied boringly.

"He kidnapped you?" She yelled almost chocking on her chewing gum. She coughed a few times before she regained posture and began laughing hysterically.

I was beginning to be annoyed, after all she's laughing at my doom isn't she.

"Sorry sweet heart, he isn't like that all the time.." she spoke softly

"I really don't care about that.." I uttered under my breath but clearly she heard it.

"So have you been alone all this time...?"

She asked rather a little serious or her face was showing displeasure about what she is saying. Before I could reply she asked another question but with a cringe.

"Didn't Linda keep you company?"

I take it thats The name of the girl from last week, like I said it slipped my mind.

I shook my head sideways, And by the way no one has been friendly to me since I got here. She got close to me,rubbing my shoulders with her soft palms. I could feel empathy through her touch and hope in her green orbs.

"It's hard for everyone out there, hopefully things will be okay soon. And you'll be back home."

"I.. I don't think so, this is way complicated than it looks.. things have escalated so far.."

The aura of the room became thick you could cut it down with a pair of scissors. I turned to give Fayyana a look and she was staring at me intently.

"I take it you're also a cousin or maybe girlfriend..?"

The serious look disappeared replaced by a goofy smile with an amused face. She looked like a doll. She was seriously gorgeous to be honest.

"I'm neither.." she fired back with a soft chuckle. "But it's not the first time to be mistaken to Athan's girlfriend.."

I jutted my face upwards with scrutiny and she chuckled even more. She shook her head sideways as if to clear the vulgar thoughts of her being he-who-shall-never-be-named's girlfriend.

"My fault I didn't fully introduced myself "

I nodded to her revelation. I'm used to people knowing me before even meeting me. The pecks of being a rare specie.

"I'm Fayyana Corhen.. the last born to the Corhen brothers"

My eyes bulged a bit, I wasn't expecting her to be his sister at all.

"Don't worry, I know how my two brothers haven't upheld the family name to you, one scares you to death and the other annoys the life out of you.."

It was my time to release a laugh, it was short lived but I did laugh, Fayyana is like a disease that you aren't immune to. With an irresistible personality that I've noticed already.

"Well I was out of town for so long, running a fashion show in Massachusetts, I came back because an old friend of mine asked me to paint back some colors on you plus it was time to come home"

"Who is that friend.." I asked dumbfounded, who would care if I needed company or not?

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you" she pressed while pulling out cloths from the shopping bags. My mind was still running, someone who knows me knows I'm here. Why not ask my parents to come instead?

"Why would that person send you? Why not tell my parents or April to come instead they must be worried sick!, why you? We never even met before..?"

"You're very smart Lenora, but sometimes just go with the flow.." she said apologetically.

I draw out a heavy sigh, I look anywhere but her face. There were scattered cloths with lace tags. besides the shopping bags there was a small white parcel a familiar one, I walked slowly to the edge of the bed to pick it up.

I removed a whole dosage of Tricyclic antidepressants from JD Pharmaceuticals. I fish out the receipt charged by Fayy's credit card.

"I thought you'd need them.. we all do. You have the genes of course.."

I couldn't utter a single word. All this time I was grieving, hurting but they weren't.

"All this time they knew where I am?? And didn't even try to reach out?"

"Who are you talking about?" She asked warily clearly didn't expect me to find out this sooner.

"Only Mom and Dad knows my favorite antidepressants from a favorite chemist! This isn't a coincidence is it?,"

I thought they were worried, I was thinking about them when I wasn't supposed to. I didn't care what would befall me I cared about them. I cried under the faucet everyday since I got here.

"I need to be Alone..!" I gritted out strongly.

"They're trying to protect you Lenora, try to understand.." she pleaded with me.

"No! No!... I wanna be alone just leave please!"

She walked right to the door before she opened it briskly.

"I'd be here if you need me. I owe it to your Dad."

She then slammed the door, leaving me to vent out my stresses to the bathroom under the faucet.
