Chapter 1

I've always wanted to be a bird. Floating in the air, dancing in the clouds. But as a human, life is cruel, and I've never been able to fly. At least, not on my own.

"The ANGELS save the day once again! Killing the colossal MINEL that rampaged through Densphe, Boria. The MINEL destroyed approximately 2 blocks before the ANGELS-" The Tv was shut off before she could hear anymore. Dad never liked to hear about the ANGELS, he thought it was crazy that humanity had to rely on such things for survival. Saying it's the government's fault we're in this mess. Melony didn't listen to him half the time when he goes on his talks about them.

Melony was always interested in them though, much to her fathers disdain. The idea of flying in those giant bodies sounds incredible. Fighting for the good of humanity, becoming hero's that everyone can look up to. A dream that would never come true for someone normal.

The Pilots for the ANGLES were trained from birth. Born specifically to pilot them with precise accuracy. The government says that it's to limit the amount of civilian deaths, but the MINELS kill enough people already. Pretty sure it's just because they don't want to deal with a lawsuit that would inevitably happen.

But flying in an ANGEL, that would be amazing. As tall as a 5 story building with their sleek designs. Humanoid-looking figures that could rip apart a building. Each one having their own unique color and accessories. Fighting together perfectly despite their different styles. It would be a dream come true.

Alas, she was not born in a facility and raised to pilot one of them, but a girl can dream.
