Chapter Two

At Waterfall

With one snap Sans was out of there. He knew that he was probably dust when he gets back home. He began to panic then puked into the water. As he wiped the drool from his face panting, he looked around him.

"No monsters around. That's good." He stood up shaking, his bones slightly rattling.

Sans leaned against the cool rock wall gripping his shirt over his glowing soul.

After hours pleading that his brother wouldn't come looking for Sans he decided to head home.

At home

Sans stepped up the stairs to his home with his fluffy hood over his head. He hesitantly opened the door pulling it off.

"B-Boss? Are yo-"

"Sans?!" Papyrus stood up from the couch. The human was sitting on the other side of his brother peeking out from behind him.

"The... Is that?" Sans pointed at the human as he closed the door behind him.

"Where the hell did you go?" Papyrus growled.

Sans sighed, "I went to Waterfall. Just needed to relax." He put his hands in his pockets, "I'm gonna go change." Sans started to go upstairs.

"No. You are not." He paused halfway. "You are going to take this human up to the spare room. Then you are going to come back down here. Human. Follow Sans and he will show you to your room." Sans was confused from what his brother was saying but he couldn't fight or disagree with his brother.

"C'mon." Sans waved for her to follow him. Sans wasn't too happy that he had to let a human stay with them. He opened the door to the dusty dark cold room, "Here ya go."

"Wow. This is a trashed room." Flowey grumbled.

"You could be living under my feet." Sans replied.

"Don't worry about Flowey Sans. It's a nice room." She gave him a little kiss on the cheek and entered the room "Thank you." She closed the door.

His cheeks were bright red, "What the fuck..." He whispered. He headed to his room and slipped on his boots. He had been wearing his slippers all day and they were soaked. When he went downstairs his brother scolded him quietly. Papyrus went to the kitchen to make dinner.

After about half an hour or so dinner was finally ready. Sans ended up falling asleep on the couch of course. Something tapped his foot waking him up, "Wake up lazy ass." Papyrus.

Sans snorted as he jolted up, "I'm awake!"

"Go get the human. Dinner is ready."

"Kay." He got up and headed upstairs. Sans knocked at the door and heard something drop from inside, "Hey, what goi-" he walked into the room and froze wide-eyed. She had no shirt on covering her bare chest with her arms, "Oh sh-shit!" He slammed the door shut. His face was bright red again panting. He ran downstairs tripping on the last step. Oof!

"Sans! What the fuck?!" Papyrus walked up to him and picked him up off the ground by the collar.

"S-sorry B-Boss.. just trippin' to get food I guess. Heh." Sans shrugged.

Papyrus dropped him, "Whatever. Is the human on her way down?"

"Y-yeah! Sh-shes on her way d-down."

"Why are you stuttering so much?" Papyrus crossed his arms.

"M-me! St-stuttering?! N-Nah, I'm perfectly f-fine!" Sans rubbed the back of his head.

"Just go sit down at the table. No eating until everyone is seated."

Sans rushed to the dining room table and sat down at his somewhat broken chair twiddling his thumbs. I'm dead! I'm so dead!

Frisk sat down at the table fully dressed and Flowey was glaring at Sans. He glanced at her, her cheeks were a rosy pink. He looked up at his brother as he placed plates of lasagna down in front of them both. Then he went back grabbing his and sat down with them.

"Th-thanks Boss," Sans said grabbing his fork that was next to his plate.

"Yes, thank you, Papyrus," Frisk said. Sans gulped then began to eat, "Sans?"

Sans looked up at the human, "Hm."

"Why is your left eye white and your right one is red?" She tilted her head in curiosity.

He finished his bite the cleared his "throat", "W-well.. ever since I got this scar on my left eye my color seemed to not come back to its natural color. I personally think it's cool." Papyrus snickered, "What?"

"Oh, nothing. Just you thinking you're so cool just made me laugh."

"Sans is cool." Frisk said.

Papyrus glared at Frisk, "Eh heh. You mean P-Papyrus is cool!" Sans hesitantly placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked at him. He took his hand away and gulped.

After they finished their dinner, Sans went to his room hoping the human didn't say anything to Papyrus about the incident with Frisk. Does she have eyes? Sans wondered as he laid on his bed staring up at the water stained ceiling. She seemed to always have her hair over her eyes. There was a knock at his door. Obviously it wasn't Papyrus because he would have barged in.

Sans sat up, "Who is it?" He grumbled sitting up.

"It's me, Frisk." Her muffle voice rang through his room.

"You can come in." He laid back down.

She opened the door and stood in the doorway, "That's how you enter someone's room."

He glared at her. She had quite the attitude, "That attitude of yours will get you killed."

"Oh shut up, trash bag." Sans looked over at the flower at her waist.

"Listen here weed." Sans stood up and walked over to the two of them, his hands in his pockets, "You are setting her up for death and her herself is doing the same. That stunt back there calling me 'cool' was a bad move. That's how you get my brother to hate you. Not that he likes you two anyways."

"You're acting like you care for her!" Flowey snapped.

The door to Sans room slammed shut as he grabbed her arm pulling her in, "I'm only helping because there needs to be one more human soul to be used at the barrier to break the damn seal. I'm sick and tired to living in this hell hole." Sans grabbed the flower by its stem pulling it close to his face, "Maybe when this damn seal is broken I can run away from my brother, maybe even have a chance of not getting almost slaughtered every day I walk out of this damn house!" He let Flowey go and opened his door, "Now go to your room. It's almost past curfew for us."

Frisk seemed like she didn't want to go, "So, she's are only here to save your sorry ass?! I don't thi- hrk!" Sans grabbed the flower once again.

"I said it's almost past curfew. If boss hears you and he sees me talking to you guys he'll get jealous and possibly kill or kick you two out. Now, go. To. Bed." Sans let go of Flowey and they left to their room. Sans closed his door and laid on his mattress. He dozed off into a deep sleep.

"Hello?" Sans called out into the dark abyss, "Is.. is anyone there?"

"Sans." A strange echoed voice called out. Sans looked around, but nothing.

"Who's there!" Sanses voice echoed throughout this strange place. A dark figure appeared behind him and placed their clawed hand on his shoulder. He spun around staring up at a familiar face. "G-G@$7€4?" Sans took a step back from the creature. Two slits were across its face. One went up along his face, its left eye, and one went down its face, it's right. It reached for him, speaking a language Sans felt he knew but he somehow couldn't depict it, "What do you want from me?!" Sans growled, red tears filled his eyes. It called out his name again. He swatted its hand away and took off into the dark abyss. Sanses name echoed in and out of his head. He tripped on his slippers. Sans curled up in a ball laying in his own pool of tears.

"Sans!" His eyes shot open staring at his brother, tears in his eyes. Sans wiped away the tears as Papyrus set him back down onto his bed, "What the fuck, Sans?! Why were you not waking up when I told you to!" Sans glanced up seeing Frisk standing in the doorway watching. Papyrus smacked Sans in the back of the head knocking his down onto his knees.

"Stop it!" He heard Frisk say, "I've seen enough violence on the surface! And to see a brother hit his other brother, it's sickening!" Papyrus walked over to Frisk and raised his hand to hit her. Whap!
