Just How Audacious Is Young Master Yu?

*Lotus leaf Tavern*

Two scholars, dashed past the workers who were busy making preparations to start the day and headed up the stairs to the balcony. Their scrolls falling from their grip, as they mindlessly trampled over their own uniforms, desperate to reach their destination.

The two were Yu Xiaoguang's classmates, and we're in a hurry to give some information before heading to school.

"You have news for me?" A feminine voice asked the two, the person in question who was speaking had her back faced to them and a jar of liquor beside her.

"Yes brother, it's concerning the man you asked us to keep an eye on. Yu Xiaoguang." One of them piped up, as he tried to straighten his clothes.

"What about him?" The lady asked, stretching forth her pretty long fingers to grab the jar beside her, ignoring the fact that they had referred to her as a man.

"His home was attacked by angry protesters just yesterday, who threw stones at them. Poor, young miss Yu was caught up in the mess and got hurt."

The woman brought the jar to her lips and drank directly from it, without first pouring it into a cup. "And where is brother Yu now?" She inquired in a hard to decipher tone.

"The news has spread like a wildfire! The imperial consort sent a decree for young miss Yu to marry the Young general Wang in three days!" One of them informed her, leaving out the part of the gossip that had spread the most.

His companion stepped forward, and knelt in front of the woman, bringing his head to her feet.

"Brother, Yu Xiaoguang in rage marched to the Wang residence and called out the Young general! As we speak, he was taken into the residence and hasn't come out since."

"What crap is brother Yu up to?!" The woman cursed in a sudden fit of rage, tossing her jar of liquor against the wall.

"If he gets executed by that man, then who will take responsibility for me? Huh?!" She pulled the scholar by his hair and brought his petrified face to meet her piercing gaze.

"Is brother Yu trying so hard to get rid of me? Pueh! Pueh!" She spat in disgust, "that bastard!" The woman cursed, tossing aside the scholar, showcasing some incredible strength for such a fragile looking woman.

'Brother Yu is sometimes brash, but his instincts know when not to pick a losing fight. Just what is he hoping to achieve?' she pondered, picking up an unwashed apple and taking a large bite out of it.

Just like the rumours had stated, Mei Deng arrived at the Wang residence, and requested to see the young general to have a word with him.

Unlike the violent rumours, which said that he had called for Wang Tengfei, the young doctor merely asked to see him.

"I've already said I'm the would be bride's brother, won't that young general see me?" He asked for the tenth time, resting both hands on his hips.

"Get lost! If you dare come back here then you'll get executed." The soldiers at the gates cautioned him, without listening to a word he said.

Which led to the second rumour that had spread around the capital, that Yu Xiaoguang was asked into the residence.

"What bullshit is this! He wants to marry my sister so abruptly but hides himself inside his home. Is he shy or a coward?" Mei Deng thought aloud, pissed off by how imposing this general was.

'I won't leave without seeing him, general or not, this guy is just a jerk.' he thought, curling his fingers as a sign of his resolve.

Without much options left, the young doctor who was skilled at climbing over fences whenever he was locked out of his dorm during his highschool days. Hurriedly took advantage of Yu Xiaoguang's athletic body and effortlessly jumped over the fence, stacking up some old baskets left outside.

"Hehehe... I've still got it!" He praised himself, using his hands to slap away the dirt and dust on his sleeping clothes.

Unfortunately for him, he landed in the middle of the soldiers morning training, drawing all the attention towards himself.

"Crap." He cursed, as all eyes fell on a defenseless scholar inside of the home of a military family.

Mei Deng who understood standing around would get him killed before he could make right on his bold declaration to teach the tyrannical general a lesson, swiftly took to his heels!

"We'll talk more about this next time, okay?"

Wang Tengfei sat in solitude in his weapons room, pondering over what that strange man he met some days ago had said to him.

It was the first time someone had dared to look him in the eye while speaking, and spouted such nonsense with a straight face.

Not to forget the kiss...

"What did he mean by next time?" Tengfei thought aloud, allowing his left thumb to caress his lower lip slowly, in a trance.

"Just who is that man?" The burning question at the back of his head burdened him so much, that he stood up and decided to train some more to get him out of his head.

Unfortunately, just as he was about to begin, the doors to his weapons room flew open and in came two of his soldiers, in a somewhat panicked state.

"What is it?" Tengfei asked in a calm manner, assessing them from head to toe, enough to see that they weren't hurt.

"Late Minister Yu's son has climbed over the fence general, we've restrained him and are waiting for the order to behead." He was told by his subordinates.

"Yu Xiaoguang?" He had done some light digging on the family members, and learned sufficient knowledge he would need before the wedding.

"Take me to see my would be brother in law." The general ordered in a clear cut tone, picking up a blade that hung in front of him.

The soldiers led him to his quarters of the Wang residence, where Yu Xiaoguang had been tied up against his will.

In theory.

'Yu Xiaoguang, notorious and well known for repeatedly failing the imperial college final exams and bullying weaker classmates. Someone like him won't pose much of a threat to me.' Tengfei concluded as he reached his garden, where said delinquent was meant to be held.

Unfortunately for the young general, he got a shock when he arrived at the scene only to meet a man in his sleeping clothes, beating crap out of his soldiers!

"Yu Xiaoguang!" He shouted in a loud voice and charged towards the violent fighter to pin him down.

Yu Xiaoguang, who had his back to him, quickly reacted to his senses which hinted that someone was approaching from behind. Xiaoguang threw a heavy punch at his attacker without caring to know who it was.

Tengfei in turn also drew his fist to punch his troublesome soon to be brother in law, with the intention to knock him out cold.

However, in the blink of an eye, Yu Xiaoguang turned around to punch him, and he was able to catch a glimpse of who he was.

And without much time to think, the infallible Young Wang general froze like a statue and ended up getting punched by Yu Xiaoguang, who showed him no mercy.

All the soldiers and maids who spectated the event, were paralysed in stun, as they watched blood trickle down the general's lips.

Yu Xiaoguang, only realised he had seen this man before when his fist was in mid air. He immediately, out of guilt rested his right thumb on the man's bruised lip and rubbed off the blood.

"Brother traffic! I didn't know I would see you!" He retorted, visibly stunned that he ran into the same man who stole his first ever kiss.

"If I knew you worked for that sour faced general, then I might have taken it easy on these soldiers." He went on to say, his thumb still resting on the man's lower lip.

"Just how audacious is Young master Yu?!"

"He dares to touch the general?"

"Forget that he called him names to his face after beating up his soldiers!"

"Is he courting death?!"

Admist the commentary made by panicked servants alike, Wang Tengfei who had just been punched had another string of touch in mind.

'He said we would talk more later...' he thought, staring directly at Yu Xiaoguang who, had his own gaze directed at the general's lips.'

'Did he come all the way here for me?' the sheltered general asked himself, ignoring the pain he felt from the hard punch he received.
