Chapter 2: Voice in the night part 1

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new chapter! Some of you seemed to really like the first chapter so I'll do my best to keep the story entertaining and interesting for you all. As you can tell by the title this chapter will focus on Korra and Odyn.

As for the pairings on the polls, one reviewer brought up an interesting option for Bolin. This reviewer seem to like the possibility of Sarai and Bolin being a thing. Not sure if it'll end up that way, but I think I'll look into that possibly. As for Mako I have a couple of options in mind for him, along with keeping him with Asami. Mako and Asami work well together, so I may end up keeping them together, but we'll see.

Which option for Mako would you like to see?

1. Mako x Asami

2. Mako x Khanna

3. Mako x Sarai

4. Mako x Hailfire

Who should Bolin be with?

1. Sarai

2. Opal

3. Khanna

4. Hailfire

That's it for now, enjoy this second chapter!

P.s- I don't own DBS, Black Clover, or Legend of Korra those series and characters belong to their creators. The only thing I own is the oc's who appear in this story.

Chapter 2- Voice in the Night; Odyn's grudge

Opening theme- Senjou no Valkyria opening 1

Visuals: First two stills are of Korra, then Odyn. The rest of the cast is introduced in images after that. As the song picks up we see our main cast team up and fight against the equalists, while Odyn and Korra fight against Amon. The song ends and Odyn is seen smiling ever so slightly towards Korra who turns to face him.

Chapter 2: Voices in the Night; Odyn's Grudge

Korra is seen to be sleeping in her bed as the night breeze blows in. Suddenly, Chi blockers come into her room as she wakes and starts to fight them. Her firebending, of course, misses them and one of the chi blockers jabs her multiple times from behind. That brings her to her knees as Amon approached her.

Amon: I will bring this world salvation. Once I take your bending from you, you will be nothing.

He reaches out his hand towards her and the screen goes black. Korra then wakes up with a scream as she was seen to be sweating. She breathes heavily as she tries to calm down. Luckily her Polar Bear dog, Naga nuzzled her face against her owner to comfort her.

Korra: It's okay, Naga. It.. was just a bad dream. I'll be alright.

The Avatar fell back asleep again but this time, her dream changed as she came to a familiar place. It was the same void she was in previously. Hearing footsteps, she wheeled around and saw a trio of familiar faces. It was the same 3 kids she saw in her dreams just a few days ago.

Blue haired Teen: I see you've finally met dad, haven't you.. mom?

She recognized the teens before strangely enough their names just came to her.

Korra: You never told me that he was from the "forsaken ones", Skyfang.

The teen known as Skyefang apologized.

Skyefang: I apologize for not saying anything about that, but i couldn't at the time.

Korra: Who and what are the forsaken ones anyways?

Teen girl: Unfortunately, Mom, that's something that we're not at liberty to say right now. We can't say anything that could drastically change events in your world's history.

Korra: I see... That's to protect me, right Ember? Or... should I just call you Saber?

Sabyr: Sabyr is fine, mom. And what you said is.. partly true.

Korra: Partly True?

Sabyr: Yes. While it was to protect you, it was also to protect our own existences. If things changed too drastically, you would never have met Dad and Skyefang and I would cease to be.

Korra: What?! How?!

Saber: History would have changed and you'd have no reason to meet Dad, due to events playing out differently then they did.

Korra: I- I see... Wait a minute... that's odd. How is it I know your names all of a sudden?

Skyefang: Why wouldn't you know me and sis' names? You are the one who gave us our names, after all.

Korra couldn't help but to widen her eyes at what her future kids just said. She had no response for a full minute at least. Shaking her head, she then refocused.

Korra: Speaking of... Odyn seemed I don't know.. cold..., distant almost towards non benders or just people in general. Is.. there a reason for that?

This time Sabyr spoke up in answering Korra's question.

Sabyr: To answer your question mom, yes. There is a reason, but unfortunately, we can't tell you what that is. That's something you'll have to ask Dad (and your husband in our time) yourself.

Korra: I.. understand. It.. still feels weird having you all call me mom or aunt, though. Please, just call me Korra.

Sabyr: That isn't something we can do. You're our mother! We can't be so disrespectful.

Korra sighed. They did have a point, and a valid one at that. She couldn't argue with them.

Korra: Tell you what then, let's make a compromise. Why don't you refer to me as Avatar Korra then?

The teens looked at each other and nodded, they could do that.

Sabyr: As you wish, Avatar Korra.

Skyefang: You're about to wake up, Avatar. Please mom... keep our warning in mind.

Korra: I.. (sighs) Alright. I'll be careful and remember your warning.

Sabyr and Skyefang both smiled before the other teen spoke up.

Black Haired Teen: Thanks, Aunt Korra. That's all we can ask of you at the moment.

Korra smiled at the trio of teens as they began to fade into the light, signaling that she was waking up.

Korra: I should be the one thanking you, Ember, Sabyr, and Skyefang...

Korra woke up soon after, she was still confused. These "visions" of her future kids she was having happened almost every night. She would keep their warning in mind though. Korra had a feeling that if she did things the normal way, something really bad would happen that could've otherwise been avoided. Looking out of her window, she saw that it was morning. She was still tense after her initial dream and felt herself trembling.

Korra sighed.

Korra: (sighs) I can't... That's it, I should train. It was... just a nightmare, no big deal.

Korra then got up after quickly getting dressed before going out into the back to begin her training.

Later ...

Upon going out to the back, she noticed Odyn and... his sister. What was her name again?

Korra: Mm... oh! Right, it was Sarai! That's what her name was. But what are they- eep!

Odyn and Sarai rushed at each other, before they each threw a palm at one another. The blue haired boy caught his sister's fist before quickly pivoting and forcing her back with a hard blow to the stomach. Sarai flipped before briefly stopping and smirking at her brother, Odyn returning the gesture. The two charged each other again, before each threw a flurry of blows.

Korra was left staring in awe of their display as the siblings sparred with each other, she'd never seen martial arts like these two used before. And yet... there was something almost calming about it, smooth even. As she watched them, a new voice spoke to her.

Roy: Impressive, huh? Are you interested in martial arts, Avatar?

Korra turned and saw a teen with the same dark skin and flame colored eyes as the other two she watched. The one thing in common this teen had with Sarai was his fiery crimson hair. He also had a blue and white headband around his forehead just underneath the gold crown. His armor was a mixture of deep ocean blues and silverish white colors. This went well with his sword and sheath that were strapped to his side. He wore maroon pants with a black belt and gray boots and sky blue fingerless gloves to finish of his look. This was Roy Albanar, the 2nd eldest of the Albanar children.

Korra: uh yeah... And..,who are you?

Roy: Ah yes, do forgive me for not introducing myself to you earlier. My name is Roy Albanar.

Korra: Albanar, huh? So you're Odyn and Sarai's brother then?

Roy nodded. Odyn and Sarai were done sparring when they saw Korra speaking to their brother and decided to walk over to them. It was still early in the morning, so the sun had barely risen above the horizon.

Odyn: You've gotten better Sis.

Sarai: (slightly pouts temporarily) I suppose.. it's still not enough to beat you though..

Odyn tussels her hair to calm her as he encouraged his sister.

Odyn: Hey, I'm your older brother. Big brothers are supposed to watch out for their younger sisters. Not to worry though, I think you're more than a match for any normal man that sets their sights on you.

Sarai: (sighs in slight defeat) Yeah... I suppose you're right, brother.

Sarai saw Korra and waved to her.

Sarai: huh? Oh, Korra!

Korra saw the girl and waved back as they came over. She smiled at Sarai. She hadn't known Sarai for long, but the redhead was a very kind and charming girl from what she observed. Quite strong as well, judging by her spar with Odyn.

Sarai: I see you came out of hiding, brother Roy.

Roy: hiding? Whatever are you talking about? 😏

Odyn chuckled and broke up the light hearted banter between his two siblings. This was something Korra noticed immediately and she was a little surprised by it.

Korra: Huh... So he can smile then? I thought he was always just an angry person, but I guess I was wrong about him.

Odyn: Now then, Roy. There's something I'd like to discuss with you if you have the time.

Roy nodded.

Roy: Of course, brother. I did come to find you for that purpose of course.

Odyn: Right then. Say, Sarai..

Sarai: Yes? What is it, Brother?

Odyn: Didn't you say you wanted to be shown around the city today?

Sarai nodded.

Sarai: I did. We didn't really get to properly because of the whole... ya know, chi blockers problem.

Odyn: Why don't you and Korra go into the city and she can show you around. I'm sure the mighty Avatar can do that at least.

Korra felt her eyebrow twitch at this. Was he making fun of her? For some reason, Odyn had a way of getting on her nerves at the worst possible times. Korra managed to calm herself and smile at Odyn, while her eyebrow twitched.

Korra: 💢 Sure... I'd be happy to show your sister around, Odyn! Come on, let's go Sarai.

Sarai: 😅😅😅 ahaha ha ha ha.... R-Right, let's go Korra!

The Avatar was dragged off by Sarai, who was attempting to diffuse the tension that conversation created between her brother and Korra.

Korra: Tell me Sarai, is your brother always a jerk like that?

Sarai giggled which confused the Avatar. She was legitimately ticked off at the blue haired teen but here his sister was laughing about it?

Sarai: Sorry Korra, I don't mean to laugh. My brother noticed you've seemed... like something is bothering you lately is all. He just wanted to give you some time to clear your thoughts.

Korra: By purposely making me annoyed at him? He sure has a funny way of making people forget why they're worried.. if that's the case.

Sarai giggled again.

Sarai: No no. It may not seem like it, but Odyn was genuinely concerned about you. He's just not.... the best at conveying his true feelings is all. He's been traumatized by Humans before, so you'll have to forgive him if he's a bit.. guarded and untrusting of people.

Korra: untrusting? Now that you mention it.... Why is that? Is there a reason your brother is so distrusting of people er... of humans?

Sarai frowned and sighed.

Sarai: You have no idea... and yes there is a reason. (Looks around briefly before speaking again) Brace yourself Korra, because what I have to tell you is... not easy for myself or those like me to talk about. The reason we don't trust Humans much is...

Time skip: back with Odyn and Roy...

Odyn and Roy were seen talking to each other just outside of Tenzin's home. It seemed like it was supposed to be a private conversation, so when Ikki and Jinora spotted them, they hid so as to not distract them.

Odyn: What did you find out?

Roy: Well... I heard that Amon and his equalists are a planning an attack on Korra. It seems like it may be at the Pro bending tournament, when exactly...., We weren't able to clearly discern that.

Odyn: I see... Amon wants to silence the voice of the Avatar. Makes sense if he sees her as his greatest opposition at the moment.

Roy: And what will we do about that?

Odyn thought for a moment, then spoke.

Odyn: It's rather annoying watching that girl blindly charge in without a plan, or considering what could possibly happen.. It appears that I'll have to watch her back, especially in the event she's in over her head.

Roy slyly smirks.

Roy: 😏 You say that.. but I bet you're actually concerned about Korra, aren't you?

Odyn: Tch,Whatever! I still don't trust her.

Roy: 😏 Suuurreeee you don't. Anyways, guess I'll stay back and watch the others?

Odyn: Yeah. I have a feeling Amon or his men will come after them.

Roy: Leave it to me, I'll make sure no harm comes to them.

Odyn then nodded and walked off, more than likely to do some investigating of his own. Roy stood there for a minute before speaking up, he knew they were being eavesdropped on by Tenzin's two daughters. He then spoke, gaining their attention.

Roy: the two of you can come on out now. My brother's left and I know you heard our conversation, Ikki, Jinora.

The two airbenders came out from behind the house with sheepish grins on their faces once they realized they'd been found out.

Ikki: Heh heh, guess you caught us..

Jinora: How did you know it was us though, if I may ask?

Roy smiled as he then spoke while pointing to his ears. The girls saw this and a look of recognition passed over them.

Roy: We Elves have better hearing than humans do, or did you forget?

Jinora laughed nervously as she rubbed the back of her head as she smiled.

Jinora: Oh ha ha, guess we did forget that.

The elf looked at them and recognized that it appeared Ikki and Jinora wanted to ask something else.

Roy: You look as though still want to ask me something. What is it?

Jinora and Ikki both looked at each other before the former nodded to her sister. Ikki then spoke as she prepared to ask Roy what was on their minds.

Ikki: Well...

Time skip: Republic City.. later that morning..

Korra escorted Sarai around Republic city, or at least, the little bit of it she's visited of it anyways. Truthfully, Sarai was astonished by what she'd seen of the city so far. It was amazing.

Korra: Uh.. Sarai?

Sarai: Ah, sorry Korra!

The crimson haired girl sheepishly smiled and blushed slightly embarrassed for her behaviour just then. Korra raised an eyebrow at the curious reaction. She'd never met anyone so enamored with Republic City, at least, not to the level Sarai was.

Korra: You.. really like Republic City, don't you?

Sarai: Of course I do! It's amazing! Everything I've seen is truly breathtaking.

Korra: It's just like any other city to me that I've heard about. It kinda lost its luster for me after the first day of being here.

Sarai: That's understandable. It's still amazing though! To think regular ol' people built this amazing city and took the time to populate it with people is quite the achievement.

Korra shrugged.

Korra: Yeah.. I guess that's pretty impressive.

Sarai and Korra continued to talk as they walked along the sidewalks.

Meanwhile nearby, Mako realized he was running late for work and went to cross the street. Unfortunately, he wasn't looking to see that there was a bike rider going down the street at the same time. He realized too late as he was hit by the motorcyclist who tried stopping before. From the sound of the voice the cyclist sounded like a woman. However by the time she got over there to check on the young man, another girl was already there tending to him.

Girl: Hey, are you alright?

Mako: huh? Me?

The girl nodded. The teen quickly shook his head before nodding to the girl.

Girl: Oh, good. Thank Zeno, you're alright. You really need to watch what's around you next time.

Mako: I'm okay, but thanks for the concern.

Girl: No, you're not all good. Look, you've got a pretty nasty cut there on your face. And your arm's all scratched up.

Mako: Ah, oh.. I never noticed.

The girl sighed before reaching into her bag to pull out a pack for dressing cuts.

Girl: Here, let me take a look.

The girl removed her hood and Mako's eyes widened. In front of him was the most beautiful young woman he'd ever seen before. She had long jet black hair, dark skin, and beautiful flaming orange eyes. She had some scars on her face however, such as a jagged one by her jaw line, and a lightning shaped scar by her left eye. When he looked closer, he thought he saw pointed... ears? Was he just seeing things? He looked again, and sure enough, they were still there.

The young dark skinned woman dressed his wounds so they wouldn't become infected before helping the young man to his feet. He was surprised by how firm her grip was, it was like a full grown man's grip. Was she actually a dude? Something told him no, but he looked again just to be sure. The young woman must've noticed him staring at her and raised an eyebrow.

Teen girl: Is there something about my face you're finding so interesting?

Mako flinched for a second before realizing he was just staring at her. He cleared his throat.

Mako: Ah! A-Ahem! Sorry about that. But... you are a girl, right?

Teen Girl: Yes, last time I checked.

Mako: Oh, good. (Sighs in relief) I was concerned I may have messed up your gender miss uh..?

Teen Girl: Khanna.

Mako: Khanna?

Khanna: Yes. Khanna Albanar. And you are..?

Mako: Oh, right. My name is Mako.

Khanna: just Mako? No surname?

Mako: No, actually. It's pretty rare for benders to have surnames, unless they're from a prestigious family of some sort.

Khanna: Huh... interesting.

Khanna then turns and looks towards the other woman who approached them.

Woman: I'm sorry about that! I didn't see you there.

Mako: How could you not see me? I was ju..

The woman takes off her helmet and Mako is again struck the beauty of another young woman.

Khanna sees this and speaks up, making sure Mako doesn't forget that she's still there.

Khanna: Earth to lover boy...

Mako: Gah! Ah, Khanna I forgot you were still here. Heh heh heh.

Khanna: 😑 Well that's obvious. And you, maybe pay attention more next time?

Woman: Oh, yeah. You're right. I'll be sure to do that.

The woman then looks at him before realizing something.

Mako: Well.. don't worry about it, my brother hits me harder than that.

Woman: wait a moment.. I recognize you. You're Mako, you play for the Fire Ferrets Right?

Mako: Yeah, that's me.

The woman then briefly covers her eyes in embarrassment before recomposing herself and extending a hand in friendship.

Woman: I'm so embarrassed. My name's Asami, let me make this up to you somehow.

She thought for a moment before speaking again.

Asami: How about I treat you to dinner? Tomorrow night, 8:00 Quong's Cuisine.

She then starts to walk away as Mako gains her attention again.

Mako: Uh.. Quong's? I don't have nice enough clothes for a place that classy.

Asami: I'll take care of that. All you need to do is show up. So... it's a date?

Mako: uh... yeah, i guess so. I'll see you tomorrow night. Oh, but do you mind if Khanna comes too? I do kind of owe her too.

Asami looked at the young woman, before Khanna spoke up.

Khanna: pfft, and get in the way of your date? Nah, I'm good. You two enjoy yourselves.

Asami: Khanna was it?

Khanna: yeah?

Asami: You should come. I'd love to talk to you. Plus.. Mako really seems like he wants you to join us.

Khanna looked at Asami and smirked.

Khanna: I'll think about it at least. I wouldn't want to interrupt your dinner date.

Asami: This is to thank you for treating Mako's wounds when I couldn't. You've already done more than I could have.

Khanna: (sighs) Alright, fine. I'll come if it'll make ya happy.

Asami: Great! So.. I'll see you both tomorrow.

Asami then gets back on her bike and drives off, Mako has a momentary grin on his face as asami leaves before shaking his head.

Khanna: So... That's your type of woman huh? You like women such as Asami?

Mako: yeah. I mean, who doesn't?

Khanna deadpans, this guy was so dense. And she had a feeling this was only the start of her interaction with Mako. Great...

Khanna: 😑 riiiighhhtttt.... Come here tough guy.

Mako walked over to her and Khanna extended her hand subtly towards his arm. The cut that was on his arm suddenly disappeared, causing Mako's eyes to widen in shock.

Mako: What the..?! Khanna.. did you just..?

Khanna then put her finger to her lips while using her hand to keep him quiet.

Khanna: shh... No one's supposed to know about that yet. It'd be a ton of trouble and a giant mess if people found out right now.

Mako: ah. So.. You're a light bender?

Khanna: hmm.. something like that. I'll tell you someday, but not now.

Mako: Guess.. I'll uh... see you tomorrow?

Khanna: Yeah yeah, I'll see you tomorrow lover boy.

Khanna then turned and left, leaving Mako with a goofy grin on his face.

Back at Air Temple Island...

Jinora and Ikki are awestruck by what they're seeing take place. Though, it was weaponized combat, they couldn't help but be mesmerized by the movements both Albanar brothers were making as they sparred. Ikki was especially smitten with Roy, who did everything in his power to match his elder brother's strength and speed.

Pema, who had been cooking a meal inside the temple came out to see what all the commotion was. She was surprised by what she saw. Two of the young men that were staying with them were fighting each other and... at such incredible speeds.

Pema: Girls.. is there any reason our guests are fighting each other?

Jinora: Oh, mom! We didn't see you there.

Ikki: Odyn and Roy decided to have a light sparring match. Apparently this... is umm... kinda normal for them.

Pema looked out and saw the water shaking as the two boys zipped around in the air while clashing.

Pema: They call this light?

Jinora laughed nervously, understanding Pema's point of view.

Jinora: ha ha, y-yeah. Can you believe it that they're just messin' around right now? They've apparently fought beings much worse than the equalists before.

Pema: Have they now?

The two brothers clashed yet again, this time opting to use their fists. Roy weaved out of the way of Odyn's fist to slug him with a mean right hook, then transitioned to a hard knee to his stomach, he then vanished briefly to spin kick his sibling towards the water. Odyn recovered quickly though, as he stopped his momentum by centering himself and flaring his enormous amount of power ever so slightly.

His power was channeled into the water as the waves crashed back down to the surface. Odyn hovered above the water's surface before a flaming blue aura burst to life around him. Roy braced himself, but was surprised when Odyn was suddenly in front of him. He guarded the best he could against it, but his brother's physical strength far exceeded his own. This resulted in Roy being blown back by Odyn's blow before he stopped himself. The brothers chuckled before calling it there.

Roy: It would seem I still have a ways to go before I best you in combat, brother. It's your win again. What does that make? 9 straight wins for you?

Odyn: Hey, you nearly had me at least three or four different times back there. So don't sell yourself short, Roy. Each time, I get more out of our sparring sessions due to how much stronger you're getting. You could surpass me if I don't watch it.

Roy: I.. could surpass you, brother?

Odyn: Yes, you could. Not that I'd let you do that so easily.

Roy: Of course you wouldn't.

Odyn then bumped fists with Roy as the two brothers then descended back towards the ground. Upon seeing Pema, they apologized for all of the commotion they caused by sparring.

Odyn: We'll just be washing up for the time being.

Pema smiled at them and nodded.

Pema: Uh huh... If you all are hungry, supper will be ready soon.

They nodded and left to go wash up. Following their example, Jinora and Ikki also went to freshen up before dinner.

Shortly after, Sarai and Korra returned to the island and decided to wash up before dinner as well. After they were finished, the teens joined Tenzin, Pema, and Meelo at the dinner table as they prepared have dinner.

Tenzin: We thank the spirits, for the company of family and friends. We ask that you bestow our bodies with nourishment as we consume this bountiful feast before us.

But just as they went to eat their dinner, a rather unwelcome guest showed up. That guest was Tarlock, a fellow member of the council that Tenzin was a part of. This put Tenzin into a bind. He couldn't very well turn a guest away.

At the same time though, this was someone he didn't particularly see eye to eye with. Having someone like that in his home was a bit... irritating to say the least. There was also one other reason he'd rather not have Tarlock in his home right now.... He would discover "them", the strange, and yet very powerful, teenagers they were having live with them. Odyn, Roy, and Sarai were honest kids and Tenzin would rather not have them be taken advantage of due to their abilities. Then again... They already didn't trust humans, aside from him, his family, and Korra with her circle of friends.

Tarlock: Great, because I am famished! Air benders never turn away a hungry guest, am I right?

Tenzin sighed.

"I suppose.," He said before sitting down.

Pema, of course gave him that look of "why are you letting him eat with us?". To which, he simply shrugged. Tarlock then saw Korra at the table next to some rather... unique guests. These guests being of course, Odyn, Roy, and Sarai.

"Ah, you must be the famous Avatar, Korra.," Tarlock began.

Korra smirked, feeling good that she was being recognized. Next to her, Odyn and his siblings simply eyed the man, saying nothing.

"It is truly an honor. I am councilman Tarlock, representative from the Northern Water Tribe.," He finished.

Korra stood to her feet and bowed slightly to him in greeting.

"It's nice to meet you.," Korra said in greeting.

Tarlock looked to Korra's left, seeing Odyn, Roy, And Sarai.

"Forgive me for asking, but who are your friends next to you?," Tarlock asked.

Korra smiled and introduced them.

"Oh, these three saved my life the other day! The one on the end is Sarai, next to her is her brother Roy, and the brooder next to me is Odyn.," Korra introduced them.

Sarai nodded in polite response.

"Grettings, Councilman. I am Sarai Albanar, it is a pleasure to officially meet you.," Sarai said.

Roy then spoke cordially.

"And like Korra said, my name is Roy Albanar. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir.," Roy greeted.

Although his siblings were cordial enough, Odyn didn't trust him. He felt that there was something.. "off", not quite right about this man before him. For those reasons, he was very guarded in his approach towards Tarlock.

"Like they said, my name is Odyn Albanar. I'll just be honest, I don't trust you.," Odyn said.

Tarlock was a little taken aback by Odyn's comments, but did his best not to show his surprise physically. He spoke highly of the teens, despite Odyn's comments.

"Thank you for saving the Avatar, it would seem Republic City owes you a debt of gratitude.," Tarlock replied. "Those eyes... Could they possibly be...?"

Ikki sat down and immediately began to question the man.

"Why do you have three ponytails in the back of your head? and (sniffs) why do you smell like a lady? You're kinda weird.," Ikki asked.

Tarlock looked to the young teenaged girl and grinned ever so slyly.

"Well aren't you... precocious.," He said.

He turned back to Korra.

"So.. I've been reading all about your adventures in the papers. Infiltrating Ammon's rally, now that took some real initiative.," Tarlock said.

The Elves slightly scowled at this, they immediately knew what Tarlock was doing. They'd seen it before.

"Oh.. Thanks. I think you're the first authority figure in the city who's actually glad that I'm here.," Korra said not expecting that compliment.

"Republic City is now in a much better place since you arrived, Avatar.," Tarlock said.

Tenzin had heard enough, he recognized what Tarlock was doing just like the Elves did.

"Enough with the flattery, Tarlock. What do you want from Korra?," Tenzin said sternly.

Still smirking, Tarlock was even sly with his answer. The elves were getting even more suspicious of him by the second, they didn't particularly care for the direction this was going.

"Patience, Tenzin. I'm getting to that.," Tarlock replied.

Odyn then glared at Tarlock and spoke his mind.

"Here's a thought: Stop beating around the bush and just tell her what you want. We've had enough of the games already.," Odyn said sternly.

Tarlock slightly flinched. He wasn't sure what it was, but he knew that it may not be in his best interest to make this flame eyed teen with dark blue hair angry at him. He cleared his throat.

"As you may have heard, I'm assembling a Task force. We will strike at the heart of the revolution and I want you, Avatar Korra, to join me.," Tarlock announced.

"What?," Tenzin said suspicious.

"Me?," Korra asked pointing to herself.

"I need someone to help me attack Ammon directly, someone who is fearless in the face of danger. And that someone is you, Avatar Korra.," Tarlock finished.

Korra looked away briefly, weighing the options she had available in her head.

"Join your task force? Sorry, I can't.," Korra answered.

This lead to both Tarlock and Tenzin respectively each having a surprised look on their faces. Korra closed her eyes and drank the tea in the cup before her.

"I must admit, I'm rather surprised. I thought you'd jump at the chance to help me lead the charge against Ammon.," Tarlock said a little taken aback.

"Me too.," Tenzin said equally as surprised.

"I came to Republic City to complete my Avatar Training with Tenzin. Right now, I just need to focus on that.," Korra answered.

"Which is also why this opportunity is perfect for you. You would get on the job experience while performing you Avatar duty for the city.,"Tarlock said.

"I believe the Avatar gave you her answer, you need to leave now.," Odyn said.

Tenzin nodded in agreement.

"The young man is right. Korra gave you her answer, now it's time for you to go.," Tenzin said.

"Very well, but I'm not giving up on you just yet.," Tarlock replied as he rose to his feet. "You'll be hearing from me soon. It has been a pleasure, Avatar Korra."

Tarlock then walked away, excusing himself from the air bender family's home.

"Bye bye, pony tail man!," Ikki said cheerfully.
