Perfect date...or not? (Past 3.0)

I don't know but I think I've been a bit too comfortable with Austin lately. We hangout after school often and go back to home together after our club activities even though I don't really know the way to his home. Never tried asking him, not used to stick my nose in other people's business afterall.

It's Sunday. Yesterday Austin suggested us going to the theatre for a movie. So I'm getting prepared right now. I put on a black T-shirt with a huge skull print and a black jeans. And of course I pull up my long hair covering it with my cap and only letting my unusual bangs out of it. It's impossible to doubt I have long hair with that hairstyle to be honest. No reason but I'm in love with that hairstyle. So, we are supposed to meet at 4 pm. It's 3:45 pm

"Lynn! You there, kid?"

Oh! It's the old man living beside my apartment. I rushed out of my apartment and went to his. He was standing with a smile on his face near his door.

"Yes, sir? Do you need something?"

"You don't have to rush here, kid. Take your time."

"It's fine."

"Can you check what's wrong with my television?"

"Sure"

"Done. Anything else, Sir?"

"Thank you, boy. The shower isn't working properly too lately."

I gave him a smile and FUCK! I'M LATE!

"Okay, sir. I should go now-"

"Wait, kid. My new smartphone setup is weird and hard to handle. Can you check?"

"Okay, sir. I've set it up like your previous one. Now if you'll excuse me-"

Okay cool. For some reason I can't ignore old people.

"It was delicious."

"Thank God, you liked it. By the way, my wifi connection is a bit down today. Can you-"

"YESSIR, checking it right away."

Can't say no to that. I use his wifi for saving money.

Ugh! His wifi had serious issues. Took a lot of time. Don't ask me why I know how to fix everything. Skills develop by themselves when you live alone.

"Is it okay now?"

"Yes. The speed's better now."

It came from his bedroom. We both rushed there.

"Oh sorry, it's my bookshelf."

"Oh no, sir! Why would you keep you bookshelf so messy!?"

"I'm sorry. I'll clean it up."

"No! Let me help you!!"

"I know you've been always serious about books but you said you had to go now-"

"Screw it! I'll let him know."

I grabbed my phone and texted Austin. Damn, 13 new texts from him? What the hell?

I hate myself. I kept him waiting over 2 hours now. See? My life has always been like this. PLAY HARD TO GET. Now I'm rushing my way to him. I felt relief when I saw him leaning on a telephone pole using his phone. He noticed me right away.

"Where've you been?"

"Sorry, my neighbour needed help. He is an old man living alone so." I said while panting.

"Ah I understand. Sorry for forcing you to come though."

"You should be. Wait, where's Neo?"

"He stood us up in last minute." He shrugged.

"So it's just the two of us?"

He stared at me and his eyes glowed up like the day in cafeteria.

"Yep. Just the two of us." He smirked.

I shivered. "So uh, shall we?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah, let's go."

Austin's pov:

She looks exhausted. What the actual shit did the old man made her do?

"What movie are we watching?"

"Let's go with horror." I suggested.

"Ehh okey?"

Inside the hall. We got popcorn and cola.

"It's about to start."

She looked at me with her disgusted face. I laughed.

"WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO WATCH A HORROR MOVIE?"

"YOU SHOULD'VE STOPPED ME. OH GOD NO! BOY LOOK BACK THE GHOST IS BEHIND YOU DUMASS!"

"OH MY LORD! THE GHOST APPEARED!?"

"YES. SEE? YOU AREN'T EVEN WATCHING. AAAAA RUN. DON'T GET KILLED!"

"DON'T COME TO WATCH HORROR MOVIES IF YOU KIDS CAN'T HANDLE IT!" screamed a lady from the front. She got popcorn caught up in her afro hair and drenched with cola. She was looking funny but I'm too scared to laugh now.

"I'm sorry. He is dumb. DON'T FUCKING THROW YOUR FOOD AUSTIN!" said Lynn.

But we were both fucked up in rest of the movie nevertheless.

Finally, it's over. God! Lynn looks scary now. Scarier than the whole movie. I know how to calm her down though!

"Uh, ma'am? Wanna go to arcade?"

Her face lit up instantly. Her eyes are sparking and she looks so excited that I can hardly keep myself calm.

"I'll take it as a yes."

"Dang it! Why do I keep losing?"

"Because I'm better. I always come here afterall."

"With who?"

"Uhh...alone?"

"Why? What happened to Steve and Mac?"

"They're not into gaming so I don't force them."

"I see. I'm not into games either."

"I can tell. Nevermind. Let's go get something to eat?"

"Wow, I'm impressed! You know me so well! I'm so hungry right now~"

She rolled her eyes and went ahead without me.

We're both walking side by side on the sidelines of highway. We aren't talking at all. There aren't many people here either. One or two cars are rarely passing by. I tried holding her hands many time and our hands DID TOUCH but I couldn't hold it. Pathetic how I could hold other girls' quite easily. Night breeze feels cold. And she is only wearing a t-shirt and jeans. At least I've a jacket on myself. I take it off to put it on her.

"No, keep it. I love the night breeze." This is the first she talked after we left the restaurant.

"But-"

"You'll get cold." She said while taking her cap off. Her hair is tightly tied from behind. She let go off her hair and DAMMIT! The way they started blowing with the night breeze made her look like someone from another world. SHE IS GORGEOUS!

"This is the first time I've seen you without your cap. And that long hair? Damn you're too beautiful."

"After observing me for more than a year?"

"Told you, I wasn't stalking you actually. I just loved seeing you doing anything and everything."

Man I feel so embarrassed right now. What the hell am I blabbering about!? I can't bear to look at her now, my heart's going to blast.

I dared to take a quick peek and wow! Best decision I've ever made! She is smiling right fucking now. She looked at me and said,

"In the restaurant, you said your type is someone short, yandere, cute, girly and straight right?"

"Uh..yeah..." I can't fucking process anything right now in my head.

"You also said you'd never date a tall or boyish girl. Especially tsundere's a no go."

Wait... Why the hell did I tell her about that during dinner?? Now I remember she kind of stopped talking after that.

"I mean- yeah but-"

"But I know your fetish too. It's long hair huh?"

OH MY LORD! I'M SO EMBARRASSED RIGHT NOW! I did tell that to annoy her at school. But who the hell would have known she'd remember that! I tried explaining her,

"And yeah! I loved how you were considerate in choosing spicy food according to my taste, took me to arcade, suggested taking a walk afterwards and everything."

"I'm glad that you're happy."

"Thanks, Dumbstin." She said pinching my cheeks.

I could go for a kiss now. But I'm afraid she'll get mad about it. I'm sure she already had her first kiss and stuff but still!

"I've to go now." She distanced herself from me and I didn't realise we were near the bus stop. She quickly tied her hair and wore her cap that I was carrying the whole time.

"Let me drop you-"

"Get home safely. I've to go somewhere now." and she got in the bus at once it came without looking back again. She is waving at me. I waved back with a smile. But why does her hand looks so empty? Yes, she has her gloves and that huge black watch on it indeed. Oh yeah! A present. Fuck it! I should've bought her something. I mean while looking at stuffs most girls tell they like something and I just buy them that on the dates. But this Lynn!!
