New Life: Second Chance, COMPLETED (magical realism)> This is the story of Kyle Smith, murdered (leaving behind two kids) and reincarnated to the past. Slice of Life story, action/romance, Labeled magical realism due to the reincarnation concept. 2. Courage to Love, COMPLETED (contemporary romance) > A spin-off of NL:SC. A story of Lianne Yang, the daughter of Kyle from his first life. This 3rd novel, is a sequel to NL:SC. Each book is stand-alone, but I do recommend you reading NL:SC first. Mainly because it makes the experience richer. However, even if you don't, you won't be lost in what happens. WARNING: Reading this novel first, before NL:SC means you will read lots of spoilers for NL:SC, especially on the pairings.

While the man was busy screaming, Kyle quickly wore back his pants. To be more accurate, Sayuri had reached over from behind him to tuck his c*ck back into his boxers properly while he then zipped up his jeans and buttoned it.

He turned his head and gave his wife a peck on the lips and said, "This lingerie is a keeper."

She laughed against his lips and licked it, answering, "Indeed."

The door burst open from the guy's side, to see two horrified people's faces at the scene in front of them. Their boss, who was supposed to be on leave, was clutching his bloody chest while his c*ck was dangling outside his pants.

Then, behind him, a broken window glass - a window that they had not known was there.

This room was a storeroom, and that part of the wall normally had a poster depicting the work ethics and also the work schedule.

Through the broken window was their customer from before, glaring at them.

It didn't need a genius to figure out what had happened, though they didn't know *how* It happened. Questions such as how did the hole get there. How did the customer know about it and what did they do to their boss?

It didn't matter.

What mattered was handling the situation right now.

"Call an ambulance," one said, a bit pale at the blood that was seen.

"No need," Kyle replied, "It's just a surface wound. Using the first-aid box is more than enough. He's just squealing more than necessary."

The guy nodded his head.

"Just keep an eye on him and call the police," Kyle continued, ignoring the fact that his wife did not seem to have had enough as she was busy fondling his butt and kissing the back of his neck.

All unseen by others, of course, as she was behind him and did the things covertly.

Kyle thought that his beloved wife would have been satisfied by now, but obviously, no.

She leaned closer to him, pressing her breasts against his back as she whispered, "That was great and hot, but too short. Still, it did have something new other than having sex with someone watching. It really was fun to be able to work together to punish someone while your c*ck was still inside me."

Kyle's mind went back immediately to that moment and he couldn't help but lick his lips as he agreed with her. It certainly was new and intriguing, to say the least.

He turned his head a bit to reply, "Why do I feel like you have something more devious planned?"

She laughed, kissed him on the cheek and said mysteriously, "Slow and steady, my love. Slow and steady."

With that, she went to get dressed with him being the shield as he kept his eyes on the farce ahead of him. With her parting words, Kyle knew that she was using these moments to make him get used to such situations and that the next time, it would be more open.

Or more risque.

He had to admit.

It wasn't that bad.

Alex was brooding while at his grandparents' place.

It wasn't that he didn't like them, or that he hated the mansion - but it wasn't home. Sure, he had his own room here like he did back home, but it wasn't the same.

They had even cordoned off a section of the backyard for Max and Iori.

Nothing as fancy or great as back home, but it was good enough.

Still, as he lay down on the grass, leaning on the boulder and looking at Max playing with Iori, he thought that he didn't have as much freedom back home than he did here.

Which was ironic, really.

His grandparents doted on him and spoilt him - like any grandparent would do, but, there was a twist to it. They weren't like any other normal grandparent.

For some unfathomable reason, his grandparents had one more child after his father was born.

Worse, the age gap between his father and his uncle was huge.

Huge enough that he, Alex, was actually older than his uncle.

How insane was that?

Alex's eyes wandered to the patio, where his uncle, Ben, was with his younger sister, Ariel. Both were the same age.

Ariel was still too young to truly understand what 'uncle' meant and that she didn't think it was strange like Alex did.

Alex sighed. He brought up his knee and placed his elbow on it, contemplating just how strange his family really is.

All this while, he had taken it for granted and didn't delve into it deeply but when he thought about it, it really was strange.

The entire Elite Five were!

He was just seven years old and his parents were still rather young. Only 25 years old. It was the same with Uncle Sam and Uncle Ali.

Alex counted it and realised that his parents were only 18 when he and his sister were born.

His face scrunched up. He became rather curious about this suddenly. At 18, weren't they still in school? Or did they skip grades since they were all geniuses in their own right?

Perhaps, he, too, would be allowed to skip grades once he went to secondary school.

The more Alex thought about it, the more he realised that he didn't know his parents.

He was always just accepting things as they were - and usually spent the time either questioning his father about what he had to do, or obeying him when they were training. He had never asked about their past.

How they met.

How they came to be.

All he knew was that his mother was in love with his father before his father realised his own feelings.

That didn't surprise Alex, for he had always pegged his father on being the blur one. His mother was always showing her love for him in such overt ways, too, so it really wasn't a surprise in finding out that bit.

Still, though he was curious, he wasn't going to ask his father.

Lest he starts thinking that he was actually interested in finding out about his father. In getting to know him better.

Well, he was curious.

But not *that* curious enough to ask.

Maybe his sister would be though …

"Alex!!"

Alex's head whipped up, stirring out of his thoughts when he heard his name. He saw his grandmother, Delilah, waving at him with a phone in her hand.

"It's your father!"

Alex sighed and got up, wiping the bottom of his pants, and walked over.

This was their second day here, and this was the first time his father actually called. Both of his parents had told them that they would be in their own 'lovey-dovey' world and would not contact them at all.

So why now?

"Hello, Father," Alex answered the phone.

Kyle, on the other end of the phone, rolled his eyes. Covering the phone, he looked at his wife who was laughing softly, and whispered, "That's *your* son."

"Who takes after you more than you know," she replied.

Kyle promptly rolled his eyes again and uncovered the phone, he said, "Tonight. 10 pm. Sneak out with Max. South Gate."

Alex's eyes widened and there was a slight sparkle in them when he heard his father say the words.

"Understood," Alex replied succinctly and put down the phone, giving it back to his grandmother.

Delilah frowned upon seeing her eldest grandson, wondering just what had happened. She looked at her husband, Patrick, who merely shrugged his shoulders.

"It's Kyle, what do you expect?" he said, "He's always been that matured guy who is a bit of a sourpuss, so you can't expect his son to be anything less."

"You're hopeless," Delilah chided him.

Patrick grinned, "No, I'm not hopeless. I'm merely stating facts."

"You seem quite happy stating those facts," Delilah replied, "Need I remind you, Kyle is your son."

"And Alex is my grandson, who's making his father more frustrated and agitated than he had ever made me," Patrick said smugly.

Delilah rolled her eyes and sat down next to him, "Well, at least Kyle has two daughters who dote on him like crazy."

Patrick pouted a bit at that.

That was one thing he was *slightly* resentful about.

His son had been such a troublesome person to raise. Not because he was a troublemaker.

On the contrary, he had been anything but.

But Kyle had been too independent, too matured, and had always been 'fighting' to be his own person ever since he could remember. Even at the tender age of two, Kyle had been such an abnormal child.

He, Patrick, did not manage to have that father-son bonding he had always wanted, but he did have one daughter that was at least normal.

A genius, but normal in the sense that she would initiate hugs and did not mind being babied. Unfortunately, Kyle was always the over-protective one and he could not pamper his own daughter as much as he had wanted to.

So it wasn't fair that Kyle only got one sourpuss son and two wonderful daughters that spoilt him -and whom he could spoil.

Delilah patted his hand, seemingly knowing what he was grumbling about.

"Well, at least Ben is normal," she said, "You now can have that father-son bond you always wanted. Plus, you're no longer the CEO of Smith Industries so you have the luxury of time to do so."

Patrick sighed and leaned back on the lounge chair.

"That, that is true," he said.

"And you wouldn't have that if it wasn't for the fact that Kyle agreed to take over," Delilah pointed out, "So you see, everything balances out."

Alex was hardly listening to all of this as he was excitedly thinking about what his father had planned. Obviously, it must be a training session but why bring Max?

Ah, the build-up.

I'm sure you know what Kyle has planned for the night, right? heh

Thank you for continuing to vote throughout the week despite only having weekend releases. You guys rock, truly.

Stay safe everyone!
