Harmony

"But why the adventurers guild? Wouldn't it be the same as if we chose to join a sect or a different guild?" Lucian couldn't help but ask thinking of the many different options that were out there.

"That is true with the exception that you both have unique talents, Althea has an ability called harmony. She can change her voice to any pitch that cause micro vibration in your soul to induce certain emotions. While you Lucian are in a more unique situation, Althea has an innate ability that passes through our family every few generations or so, but we've never felt the energy you have produced." Ancestor Lee spoke as his eyes shifted from Althea to Lucian.

"I see." Lucian spoke with a thoughtful look on his face.

Before he could could continue his reply, "Also we have one of the highest level masters of space and time which feel closest to the energy you've produced." Ancestor Lee spoke with a smug look on his face.

Lucian having put one and one together looked at the family protector eyes wide, he hadn't expected to meet many people that had mastered those elements, yet right under his nose was a top of the line master.

The family protector looked like he could be a close cousin of his father his face chiseled with bright silverish golden eyes, the only thing that set them apart was their noses and the family protector looked slightly taller than his father and his fathers hair was a greyish silver.

The family protector nodded before his head turned to the sky, just as he looked another cloaked figure instantly entered the room before collapsing onto the floor coughing.

Immediately all the of the light family leaders present extended their hands then beamed rays of light towards the battered figure.

The man on the ground eventually stopped coughing before standing up and taking off his battered cloak.

"Why are the young ones so vicious Lee?" He asked as he stretched out his body. The man was obviously maybe in his younger 60's but it was hard to tell because his body looked no less than what would be expected from someone's prime.

Hearing the old man's question Ancestor Lee burst into laughter. "Looks like I up 3 now Xujack!" Ancestor Lee spoke through his laughter.

Lucian and Althea couldn't believe that the premier ancestor was truly laughing at the man like a child right now when he had seemed on the brink of death a moment ago.

Seeing they were in the presence of youths the ancestor stood up and dusted himself off while giving a slight bow towards Lucian and Althea showing his approval while also slightly shocking the two of them with his gesture.

"I am Xujack an ancestor of the light family," his voice sending a shiver through Lucian and Althea's bodies.

Hearing this the two of them quickly gathered their wits standing up and returning the bow towards the ancestor while introducing themselves.

"I am Lucian." Lucian spoke.

"And I'm Althea" she said giving a little curtesy instantly recognizing who she was speaking to. Her words came out almost frigid returning the shiver that went through Lucian's body the first time.

"You seem more skilled than you've displayed so far." Xujack said while nodding towards Althea before handing her a ring and turning forwards the other ancestor and the family protector.

Seeing this the family protector looked torwards Lucian and Althea with serious face, "Alright there will be an envoy that receives each of you Lucian and Althea in 7 days your parents should have been guided to the courtyard where you will meet them."

Hearing this the two youths nodded and stood before scurrying out of the room.

Lucian thought to himself while he was walking about his battle with Althea. 'I couldn't detect her, at first then when I overlapped 2 different dimensions of reality It was almost like watching a lone person standing in a barren and empty field.

"I did not really think there was anyone that could give me such a good fight in the family around my age." Althea spoke up breaking the silence and Lucian's train of thought.

"I didn't think anyone would be so hard to fight, but I began to guess I was going to have some difficulty." Lucian spoke returning the sentiment.

Lucian truly had fought hard, he didn't think he would have to show one of his innate abilities.

His extensive study and practice of the Laws of Space, time, Dark, and light, alongside his understanding of dimensions had let him be born into this world with a connection to space allowing him to manipulate dimensions like moving the fingers on his hands.

Only the actual use of the skilll would be better understood as fingers playing an intricate symphony on a musical instrument. In his fight with Althea, he had overlapped the dream world and the waking one to merge allowing him to pin Althea down based on her thoughts alone and for him to also let himself become knocked unconscious where he had an even stronger connection to his senses.

The two walked as a guard lead from the room they were in through a large tunnel of light. They talked about their battle and exchanged ideas on combat while also telling each other about their weaknesses.

They walked for about 15 minutes before something began to come into view from the dark hole in front of them. It looked like an office room with a single large silver seat and table with lions heads engraved on each leg near the top.
