Contract

Lucian landed swiftly on one of the rocks surprised, the dragon didn't end his life from what he knew about divine dragons they were usually around S rank to rank 0. Not to mention a dragons pride, Lucian wanted to see how deep the pact between the light family and the beast on this world went.

Lucian looked around as almost all of the humans present stared wide eyed at the golden scaled egg. Even the beast had a covetious gleam in their eyes.

'That damn lizard knew what it was doing!' Lucian exclaimed realizing the dragon had set him up.

He dashed towards the golden scaled egg his current strength didn't even compare to some of the people and beast present but what did that matter, obtaining a divine dragon egg was almost equal to becoming a divine dragon there was no way he wouldn't fight anyone here to get what was his.

Before he could reach the egg 3 youth that appeared to be a few years older than him appeared in his way. There were 2 girls and one boy.

"You can't possibly think that you're strong enough to obtain that egg." You of the youths a male with a scar underneath his eye spoke with a malicious grin as his energy leaked out revealing he was around the peak of the B rank.

The two girls standing behind the male youth began to laugh and whisper to each other while pointing at Lucian.

"I'm pretty sure that dragon left this here for the best, not for some annoying runt like you we saw what you pulled a little bit ago." The same b rank youth spoke.

Lucian wasn't really in the mood to talk, the dragon had pissed him off, like the divine dragon he too had pride. Pride to the point he would embarrass that dragon the same way it embarrassed him in the future if he ever got the chance.

Lucian began to unleash his energy, the 3 youths took a cold step back feeling the unfamiliarity of Lucian's energy. They couldn't pinpoint his strength they energy was too foreign all they could detect was the purity in the energy.

It was leagues ahead of their own energy in purity so pure it could have easily been mistaken that they were around a legendary treasure or a mythical item.

"S-stop using tricks and fight with your own power!" The male youth spoke as he took another step back shivering.

But before anyone could do anything next the egg moved. It floated as if someone were moving it but most present didn't even dare act on their thoughts of taking the egg for themselves. The divine dragon may have left it but to take it without the dragons permission was like wishing doom on the Light Families home planter.

The egg floated over the 3 youths exerting a monstrous pressure onto them causing the instantly fall flat on the rocks below them instantly cracking a few ribs and other bones causing them to yelp in pain.

The egg floated over to Lucian who stood observing the eggs behavior, the egg lowered from the air until it was suspended directly in front of Lucian's face.

Lucian could feel as though the egg had recognized him and his energy, he watched on as the egg continued to slowly lower its self until it gently landed at his feet before slightly rolling into his leg.

Once the egg came in contact with Lucian he could feel it, a baby divine dragons head rested against his leg, it almost felt as though he had been transported into another dimension seeing from the perspective of the dragon within the egg.

He could see through the surface of the egg his vision was more clear his body had become filled with energy and vigor. All of this caught Lucian off guard as he stood there dumbfounded.

"Master?" the single word enetwred his mind seemingly like a question from the diving dragon.

Hearing this Lucian shook his head no as he reached down picking up the egg he spoke "partner."

After he said this the egg vibrated letting out some of its warmth that invaded Lucian's body feeling as though he were being hugged from the inside out as he felt a connection between himself and the dragon within the egg.

Lucian had already read about making contracts with beast it was one of the required classes taught by his tutor and one of the few that had actually interested him.

He knew when you contract with a beast you are supposed to exchange a good ammount of your energy so that the beast and its contractor have similar energetic signatures.

This was much easier with young beast and best when they were still in their egg form if not when they were born directly from their mothers.

Lucian reciprocated this sending a large influx of his own energy into the egg causing the scales on the egg to become a purplish gold with tinges of black and silver.

Everyone present looked on in awe as the egg changed colors understanding that the youth had just formed a mutual contract with a divine dragon egg.
