A New Era

A deep black carraige was sitting in front of where people had left their Beast mounts, the carraige was pulled by the same 4 Apocalyptic Shire horses.

Apocalyptic shire horses were almost more rare than divine dragons as only few were to known to ever exist, most equated their appearance with the end of times, while those powerful enough they actually represented the start of a new era.

Unlike normal beast contracts Apocalyptic Shire horses would find and select their partner, if their partner declined the price to pay would be their life due to the secretive nature of the beast, but once they found their partner they had a deathless loyalty being known to retrieve their partners from the depths of samsara if they fell before the apocalyptic shire had achieved their goals.

There was a shining white sun engraved into the side of the carraige while the wheels seemed to be made of light.

As soon as Lucian, Althea and their parents finished parting ways like a ghostly apparition a man clad in a black suit with a vest top appeared slightly bowing as he opened the carraige door.

"Young masters." The man who looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties smoke as Lucian and Althea entered the carraige.

Though suppressed the man in the suit vest carried the aura of a raging flaming tiger, his aura seemed to be equal to the light family head, possibly even the family protector as well.

Seeing all of this a crowd too had formed around the spectacle of the apocalyptic shire. As Lucian and Althea entered the carraige they could hear the book of a voice in the crown.

"Long Llive the light family into the new era!" One of the older members of the light family spoke giving insight to everyone present as the crowd broke out into chears shaking the ground.

Lucian could feel chills build up on his body, he didn't know why but he could hardly contain his excitement. The roars of the crown caused him to feel as though he had reentered a midevil time right before a battle.

He turned around in excitement before entering walking past the threshold of the carraige. He raised his fist in the air as spoke "Long live the light family into the new era!" Hearing this the cheers of the crowd grew more boosterious shaking those that had entered meditation back to reality.

The crowd grew more massive watching the doors of the carraige close behind Lucian as the man in the vest suit disappeared as quickly as he had appeared.

The apocalyptic shire raised their hooves slamming on the ground letting out a shrill cry as if approving of their cheers and shouts.

Soon a rumbling at the peak of the mountain started as the shouts and rumbling ground shook loose snow that had been there for who knows how long as an avalance began.

Before anyone could respond to the avalanche the apocalyptic shire slammed their hooves on the ground simultaneously as if they were of one mind causeing space to open below them and the carraige.

The shire and the carraige appeared on the skiing hill as the ran up the hill. They began at a moderate pace of mortal horses as they quickly accelerated to breakneck speeds.

They approached the oncoming tidal wave of snow and let out another loud cry instantly dissipating the entire wave of snow and clearing a large portion of the forest with it as the mountainside ahead of them became completly barren.

All of the light family present was completly in awe as in an instant the all witnessed the mountain side completly cleared of anything as if the snow the trees and any beast living there had simply disappeared.

The horses continued to approach the peak of the mountain like a bolt of lightning, as the reached the top a boom could be heard as spatial cracks filled the space at the peak of the mountain causing a dust of visible spatial energy to fall from the sky like snow.

All of the older generations present corralled the younger ones bringing them to the rain of visible physical energy instructing them to meditate on the laws of space and absorb the energy around them.

"A new era huh?" Adela spoke as she watched on from high in the sky approving of her light family's fervor and dedication.
