Chapter 110: An Empire?

Alexandra and Tifa travelled randomly and entered a world where it was brimming with life from the planet. Similar to One punch man's, but it was a few levels weaker.

"Tifa, I think we found a good place." Alexandra nodded in satisfaction at the energy levels they found. And it would be a nice place to absorb tons of it.

"We're in the woods? This place is pretty much on par with Gaia. And it's untouched, because no organization like Shinra probably exists here." Tifa concluded.

"Let's find some people to ask for directions to somewhere." Alexandra stomped on the ground and used seismic waves because it was limited to the earth, unlike a Mako pulse.

"There, and there seems to be some trouble too." Alexandra pointed at a road and they started flying there.

After a short flight, they arrived at a horse drawn cart in front of a large reptilian monster. "An earth dragon, run away!" The driver of the coach shouted in a panic.

Alexandra and Tifa were about to kill it, but its arm was cut off by a brunette young teen (pic)

"A first class danger beast huh? It seems like a nice target for practice!" The young teen sliced it to pieces, impressing Tifa and Alexandra.

"Wow, that thing is pretty dangerous. And he looks like a normal human, come on. Let's take its energy before it returns to the planet." Alexandra swooped in with Tifa and they absorbed its rich life force.

"Woah! Who are you, nee-san's?" The teen was surprised by their sudden appearance and looked up to them, he was just 5'5 after all.

"I'm Alexandra, and this is Tifa. Say, boy. Do you know any towns or something near here?" Alexandra focused on their little scuffle and couldn't find the nearest city.

"Ohh, hello. I am Tatsumi, I'm actually going to the capital! My friends, Sayo and Ieyasu went first before me." He was friendly and had a wide grin on his face. "Ohhh? Then can you tell us the general direction of the place?" Alex wanted to have a base of operations for now and hunt those monsters to extinction.

"Well, you just follow this road and you'll arrive at the capital. Just be careful, there might be danger beasts in the way like this one." Tatsumi pointed at the earth dragon.

"Will do, see you later Tatsumi." Tifa gave a little smile and they flew to the direction of the capital.

"What!? They can fly! That's so cool!" Tatsumi's eyes shone in awe at their ability to fly.

After a few minutes of flying, they were able to arrive at the supposed capital of the place they were on.

"Hmm, so this is their capital? Pretty old school, medieval times? Then this place will be troublesome." Tifa sighed and remembered nobles and the likes.

"Then evasion it is." They didn't want to cause massive collateral damage if a fight breaks out, so they went invisible and bypassed the walls.

"This is just like that rpg we used to play. I feel like I'm in a game, with the shopping districts with their stalls and all." Tifa smiled and reminisced.

"We're attracting attention Tifa, let's go to a pub for now. They have the most information in these kinds of settings." Alexandra followed the smell of alcohol and food.

They entered a pub and Alexandra took out a gold nugget. Putting it on the bar and looking at the bartender in the eye.

"I want to know where to exchange these, a place to sleep, and what's happening here." She was quick and concise. The bartender immediately pocketed it and gave her a map with an indicator for a place.

"You two are too beautiful to be here. If you aren't nobles, then you better scram immediately. This place is a shit hole. The prime minister is controlling the emperor who is still a kid. Nobles impose heavy taxes to the people and kill anyone who opposes their regime." The bartender whispered and they nodded.

"Thanks for the tip, keep the change. They can try, but they would wish they were never born." Alexandra squinted her eyes and the whole bar shook for a bit.

"Ahhh, sorry about that." Tifa waved at him nonchalantly and they exited the bar. A woman with short blonde hair looked at them with her peripherals and smiled.

"I guess we found a jackpot? This mission isn't going to be simple at all." She carefully stalked them and wanted to know more about them.

"Let's get a room and hunt down everything we can." Alexandra rushed and they immediately got some coins for their valuable goods. Booking a room for now in order to have a place to go back too.

"Hmmm, there's someone following us from about 100 meters away. They think they're slick." Alexandra looked at the woman's direction and she broke into a cold sweat when she saw Alexandra smirk at her.

They then disappeared and travelled all over the place to hunt down anything that even slightly resembled what Tatsumi called a danger beast.

"W-who are those people? They immediately found me and disappeared. I need to ask Najenda about them." She went back to their base to send out a message immediately.

At the wilderness, Alexandra and Tifa didn't have much luck in finding strong monsters like the earth dragon. So they had an idea. "Tifa, how do you think these monsters will react to our Mako?"

"Hmmm, they have tons of life force in them that's for sure. Maybe they will be attracted to it if it's concentrated and neutral." Tifa theorized and thought they would hunt it down to get stronger.

"Then let's bunch up some Materias here." They put some Materia in a pretty open place and waited. After about thirty minutes, when Alexandra was about to call it a bust.

They heard a stampede. "Hoh? It seems that this would be easier than we thought?" Alex waited for the monsters to arrive near the bait.

After the danger beasts bunched up, thousands of them. They began killing them all and siphoned their life force to sustain themselves.

"Oooh, this feels nice." Tifa felt warm from the amazing amount of energy they had. But there was still something left. The bodies that had some amazing properties when Tifa checked it out.

"Hmm, their flesh and bodies have almost the same amount of energy Alex. But we can't cook this all and just start eating them one by one. That will take forever." Tifa frowned and started thinking of another way.

"Hey, we still have those stims that Ramiel gave us. He said it will help us with getting stronger." She took out two containers.

"Anything else he said about these?" Tifa wasn't sure of its contents or effects. "I don't know, but who cares?" Alexandra injected herself immediately, showcasing her trust in him.

"Hah, fine. I'll do it too. This won't really be a downgrade if he was the one who made it." Tifa used hers and they started to feel like their bodies were on fire.

"Fuck! That isn't pleasant at all!" Alexandra cried out in pain and she gritted her teeth. After a few minutes, she felt weird and had this feeling that she could do something amazing.

A black tendril escaped from her body and latched onto the bodies, it started assimilating it and she could feel her body change. Stronger, denser, better.

"What the hell... Did he just really turn us into slimes or something?" Alexandra was surprised, but she still continued.

"Or something, this is amazing. I feel the efficiency of our absorption massively." Tifa started absorbing the hundreds of monster bodies around them.

And before long, the smell of blood in the air travelled to the stronger ones. Thinking there was large prey to be had in the area.

"Heh, this oughta be fun." Alexandra grinned and they went on a killing spree that created a river of blood from danger beasts.

After a few hours of hunting down everything that was in the place, they didn't feel any more of them and left it at that.

"Let's go back for now, I don't know why. But I feel full somehow." Alexandra patted her stomach. "Maybe because we're absorbing them? I feel much stronger already. Next time, let's find a natural spring of the lifestream here and absorb it."

Tifa suggested and it won't be as bad as Shinra's method anyway. It might even get rid of danger beasts if they take a portion of the lifestream of the planet that was overflowing.

"Yeah, that sounds good." While they were talking, a carriage stopped nearby and a blonde girl went up to them.

"Hello, I am Aria. Do you people not have a place to stay? It's dark out now, and you are still out here in the streets. I would like to invite you to my home and give you a place to stay." She smiled, but her malice was palpable by the two who can read minds if they wanted to.

"Hoh? Then thank you very much. You are so kind." Alexandra thanked her, but she had a wide grin on her face. Thinking of what interesting things would the girl do.

"Then, come. Please take a seat with me in my carriage." The girl smiled sweetly. "Thank you kindly." Tifa nodded.

"What do you want to do? This is just a noble that probably kidnaps people." Tifa sent a telepathic message to Alex.

"Well, Ramiel created an empire of his own right? Why not make my own? And the fastest method is to usurp the throne. One by one, noble by noble. Let's check them out and kill them." Alexandra grinned at her and Tifa sighed.

"Is there something wrong?" The girl tilted her head at them. "Nothing, we're just excited to see the nobility here is so nice." Alexandra smiled at her.

They arrived at the girl's estate and were treated with drugged meals. Confirming their suspicions. "Hmmm, it's such a shame really. I really wanted to believe that you guys were better." Alexandra shook her head in disappointment.

"You liar, look at that innocent smile on your face. You need to work on that sadism of yours." Tifa sighed at her antics.

"W-what are you talking about?" The mother of the girl's eyebrows twitched and waited for the drugs to take effect, but Alexandra stood up and knocked them out.

"I just gave out a pulse of Mako. There are tons of prisoners in a warehouse here." Tifa pointed at a place and they dragged the family there.

Alexandra killed all the guards who tried stopping them, because they were all in it anyways. Absorbing their souls and bodies.

"How distasteful, kidnapping people and torturing them." Alexandra clicked her tongue when she opened the warehouse. It was filled with helpless prisoners that were tortured, starved, drugged, etc.

Tifa tapped her foot on the ground and casted a detoxify and curaja. Healing up the ones who were still alive.

"H-help. Are you guys here to help?" A young teenage boy with a headband had eyes filled with hope at their appearance.

"Hmmm, yes. Lady luck smiles upon you kid." Alex smiled and broke them out of their cages and shackles with a flick of her wrist.

Tifa then immobilized them or they will all run away at the taste of freedom. "Tifa, raid the kitchen and make some food, I'll show these punks why you don't kidnap people and kill them for fun." Alexandra chained the noble family down.

"And that blonde woman is nearby. Maybe they're part of a resistance or something? I'll invite them in when I prepare some food." Tifa went to the kitchen and made her best.

"Look here, you remember these sick fucks right?" Alexandra had a wide grin on her face as she dropped some dirty and ice cold water on them to wake them up.

"W-what!? Where are we?" The lady of the house looked around and knew where they were after she sobered up.

"Kukuku~ You already know right? And you know what will happen next?" Alexandra smirked. "P-please, don't." The man pleaded and Alexandra immediately burned his mouth.

The man screamed bloody murder. The broken and tortured souls stared with a glint in their eyes. "Shut up, did I give you permission to speak?" Alexandra shut his mouth closed and healed it up slowly, creating a burn contracture as his lips combined together.

"Yes, that's right. Peace and quiet is where it's at. I don't like to hear you scream. I want to see it in your eyes. Feeling you tremble in fear, your eyes wide in anticipation for the pain." Alexandra laughed like a maniac.

"You know, back in my place. We have a very extensive array of techniques to torture people." She ripped up space and it was her own storage that she created with space magic. Copying Ramiel's inventory.

"You see this? This thing will make you regenerate incredibly quick for 24 hours. Exhausting your body until you die." She took out a syringe.

The family's eyes trembled and went bloodshot. "And I really like to inject it right here." Alexandra pointed at her eyes.

She started with the lady of the house as she floated right in front of her. She then immobilized her on the ground as she started struggling violently.

Her chains were taut and the metal cuffs on her wrists and ankles started making cuts on her skin. "That's it, struggle and writhe around. It makes it more exciting! Kyahahaha!" She manhandled her and pulled her hair.

She slowly stabbed the needle at her eye and the woman screamed with all her might. But it was all muffled as her mouth was shut tightly with Alexandra's telekinesis.

"Now let's play a game. I want you to count, just how many fingers I take. Count backwards from one thousand." She took one of the hammers from the ware house and made her lay down on the ground with her limbs sprawled outwards.

Alexandra the. smashed one of her fingers and the woman screamed bloody murder.

"That's one, 999 more to go. But it's a shame, you didn't count. So I need to start all over again." Alexandra shook her head in disappointment.

Tifa was humming in the kitchen while cooking a lot of food, when the blonde woman from earlier appeared behind her. "Who are you guys? Do you hate the corruption of the empire as well?" She was cautious and had a black haired girl with her that was prepared to brandish her sword.

"Hmm, if we had to pick one. Then it's unpleasant? Corruption in a government of this kind of setting is to be expected. We would've overlooked it if it was just about the money. But they are killing people for sport. So I would say we'll make an effort to eradicate them?" Tifa lifted her ladle and waved it around.

The two were gobsmacked at her really calm response. "I'm Leone of night raid and this is Akame. We would like to invite you." (pic)

"Well, ask my sister first. She makes the calls." Tifa shrugged and made the dishes float as they made their way to the Warehouse.

"932! 931! 930!" They heard two people scream loudly, while another one's eyes were wide open. Being burned alive, but he wasn't dying at all.

"Good, good. Count correctly now, or we'll start all over again. It keeps you sane, right? Counting every single finger you lose. It's quite a nice game no?" Alexandra was smashing their fingers and toes with a hammer.

"Order up, here you go people. Make a neat line, don't push okay?" Tifa served food to the people while they watch their torturers be put in endless torment.

"Leone... I don't think inviting them to night raid was a wise decision." Akame deadpanned at Leone. Seeing Alexandra torture the nobles with a massive grin on her face.

"Isn't it fine?" She was unsure if people even deserved that kind of treatment. It was the worst punishment they've ever seen of heard. Regenerating all the damage done to you and kept in perpetual torment. And she was keeping them sane by counting it all.

"Ohh lookie there, new spectators. Let's spice it up shall we?" Alexandra disappeared and looked for something.

After a few minutes, she returned with a handful of danger beasts. Low class beetles, but they are voracious eaters of flesh.

"Look what I found? Some pretty hungry beetles yeah?" She tossed it onto the nobles and they screamed as the beetles began nibbling on their flesh.

"Hmmm, what did I tell you? You never learn, do you? Let's start over again then." Alexandra clicked her tongue and shook her head. The nobles trembled in terror and Akame stabbed them with her sword.

"That's enough, we don't have enough time for that." Akame confronted Alexandra and Leone got nervous. "Hah, you should've asked first before you get in other people's business girl." Alexandra took her sword and put it in her subspace.

"You won't be needing that thing until I say you do. Take something from someone else, then be prepared to experience the same. Ahhh, now they're dead. It crippled their energy networks." Alex was annoyed.

"You're lucky you didn't get hurt. She doesn't really like to be disturbed." Tifa commented from the side while giving the starved people food.

"Akame, your Teigu..." Leone got nervous immediately. Their meeting was rocky and they can fold them like a lawn chair immediately.

"Just get them to their places or a refugee camp. Tch, you didn't even do anything until we already took care of them. Shouldn't you be killing the prime minister or something?" Alexandra sighed at them.

"It's not that simple, he's protected by guards all the time." Leone argued and Alexandra shrugged. "Then some kind of rebel group you are. You always should aim for the head. If you can't, then you will exhaust yourselves and be killed one by one. Incompetent is what you are." Alex scoffed.

They flinched and thought that was true. The empire has inexhaustible soldiers and resources compared to them. They'll get done in if they don't capture or kill important targets.

"That's why we're trying to recruit you. So we could make a change!" Leone knew they would be a great asset.

"We'll do it! We'll join." A girl wearing a butterfly hair pin shouted out with her friend, the guy with a headband.

"Hmmm, who are you?" Akame stared at them. "I'm Sayo, this is Ieyasu, we were skilled fighters from our village!" Sayo was determined. (pic)

"Sayo and Ieyasu? You guys friends with a brunette named Tatsumi?" Tifa remembered the friendly teen. "T-Tatsumi!? Really? You met up with Tatsumi?" Sayo sighed in relief, knowing that their friend was safe.

"Look at you, worried for your friend when you probably went through tons of torture. What a good friend he has." Tifa smiled and Sayo nodded.

"Thank you very much, big sisters. Sayo was being tortured extensively by that little bitch. But she powered through it and didn't give up. We're saved now." Ieyasu groveled at them and was forever thankful.

"Well, let's just go with it. In one condition." Alex smirked. "What is it then, let's hear it." Leone sighed.

"I'll be empress when we take care of the empire." She smiled and they choked on their saliva. "What!? Empress?" Leone was shocked and Alexandra nodded. "My brother is an emperor already, I will be an empress. I can't lose to him after all." She shrugged.

"You're royalty?" Akame raised a brow, thinking she was too violent and sadistic to be one. "Deal with it." Alex huffed.

"But where is your empire? We don't know any empire with someone like you as royalty." Leone was skeptical.

"It's really far away, I don't think you guys will ever have an idea how far it is." Tifa explained. "Well, since you guys are joining... Can you give back Akame's sword?" Leone requested and Alexandra looked at her like an idiot.

"Let's go, you guys have some place to put these civilians?" Alexandra asked. They took out a map and pointed at a stronghold.

"Tifa, send them there. I will be going with them." Alex made them float and used Leone and Akame as a compass. Tifa heard screams as they flew to the skies.

"Wait! We're leaving two other operators!" Leone screamed, but Alexandra ignored her and they arrived at the woods somewhere.

"So this is your base? It's so detectable, it's not even funny." Alex scoffed and dropped her four commuters.

"L-let's not do that again." Leone was traumatized while Sayo and Ieyasu trembled in fright. "That was fun." Akame commented and Alexandra nodded at her.

"So? Who's your leader? Are they here yet? I'll check if they're stupid or not." Alexandra's eyes glowed in the night.

"She'll be back tomorrow. Let's wait for the others to return and we'll introduce you to them." Leone sighed. Feeling a roller coaster of emotions at her ride earlier.

After sitting on the table awkwardly, Tifa arrived with two more people. "Hey, I got them with me. They were left behind." A woman with purple hair and a muscly guy with a pompadour was behind Tifa.

"Yo, I'm Bulat. Nice to meet you, our new members." He gave a shining smile. "Hello, I am Sheele, welcome to night raid." She smiled pleasantly but Alexandra could feel her killer instincts. (pic)

They introduced themselves and Sheele want actually sure if Sayo and Ieyasu are suitable to be in night raid. "Have they killed anyone before?"

Sayo and Ieyasu flinched, but they were serious. After experiencing the corruption of the nobles and the empire. They would rather die fighting than to let them continue their work.

"No, but we are ready to." Ieyasu furrowed his brows. "Then let us see what you can do, Bulat." Leone looked at Bulat and they went to the training area.

"Okay, you two on me. Remember, this is just a friendly spar." He used a wooden pole and the two nodded. Ieyasu is a martial arts specialist and Sayo is a marksman with her bow.

Ieyasu was about equal with Tatsumi and Sayo was relentless in her support with the bow. Targeting Bulat's weakspots accurately while they were fighting. Or aiming for joints and spots that will maim the target.

Bulat had to take it up a notch and pointed his pole at Ieyasu's neck, ending the spar. "Wow, you two have massive potential. With the right weapon, you guys can be really lethal." Bulat smiled and gave a thumbs up.

"How about you two?" Akame pointed at Alexandra and Tifa. "Should we?" Tifa was apprehensive because they will cause tons of collateral damage.

"Ehh, I'll just show them one of nii-sama's moves. Planetary devastation." She clapped and all the trees and rocks from far away started to float into the skies. Turning into a massive sphere of earth and miscellaneous objects.

Akame and Sheele just stared at her like she was an alien while the others were gaping. "Close your mouths, flies will get in you know?" Tifa chuckled.

Alexandra then returned back the trees and landscape to normal by quickly scanning the area and used the materials in the air like a jigsaw puzzle.

"Any more questions?" Alex put her hand on her hip and raised a brow. Everybody shook their head and gulped. "Wait, are you human?" Akame was curious.

"If we have to say yes or no, then yes. But not really." Tifa shrugged and Alexandra extended her black wing. "Human, devil, angel. Does it even matter if we are on your side?"

Alexandra and Tifa's eyes glowed a brilliant crimson. Making the people nervous, thinking they were some inhuman beings from another plane of existence.
