An Unbelievable World

The world Kairos was sent to was called Ehana. It was four times bigger than earth and unlike earth, it has only 56% water rather than 71%. But, it has the deepest sea that reaches the middle layer of the planet.

Stevan was introducing the new world to him as they were passing through the deep forest full of monsters. The monsters were so low on level that they didn't even feel their presence. The three of them were passing through the forest like a hot knife in butter.

It's a very interesting world. It has so much to offer and I don't think I can visit every place in this world in a short vacation. I will probably need a 50 year long vacation to travel half of it.

"So, what are we going to do, commanders?"Kairos asked.

"The situation inside the imperial palace isn't good and I recently got fried and vanished from the capital city as well. I don't think I can help you to get inside the palace yet. We need more time."

"I see. So, tell me why did you kill the prince? He could've been a great weapon in this war.", Kairos asked.

"He isn't a good pawn. Moreover, he's a spoiled brat who loves money and fame. He already took his mother's life so he was bound to be dead. Don't worry about him."

"I see."

   Killing a royal person and getting away with it. I guess he isn't some fly who's talking shit. But an inner conflict, it's the most dangerous thing in a family. People can lose their minds just for a penny, and talk about the royals. Hah! The Kingdom is on its way to hell. 

And, I don't care about it as long as I can finish my task. Finishing the task is my life's first priority.

"Kairos, I can see the town from here.", Irosa pointed on her right to a small town outside the forest.

"Good work, Irosa.", Kairos replied.

The town was small, but it was more advanced than a big city on earth. There were floating buildings, floating transports that looked like advanced cars powered by magic stones, floating screens around the buildings advertising the latest brands of various products and other daily accessories. It was a dream city that earth always wished for.

 Kairos was gazing at the scenery of the sci-fi world he only saw in movies and mangas. 

"We are here. This is the Asverin town situated on the edge of our kingdom.", Stevan said.

"This is a town?", Kairos asked.

"Yes.", He replied and gave both of them a card with a small chip to enter the town gate. "This will help you enter the town safely and I will help you two get an ID and an adventurers licence tomorrow. Those things are so important to travel from place to place."

I thought that this world would be some classic world without any touch of technology, but my guess is entirely wrong. The small village we went to first was in the countryside, and this is the real face of this world. 

A world where advanced technology exists. 

After their verification at the gate was finished, the three of them entered the town and Kairos couldn't stop gazing at the beauty. It was midnight, but the town was lively like it was evening time. The roads were made of an unknown material that felt like plastic, the buildings were floating 20 feet above the ground supported on a huge glowing magic stone, flying motorbikes were passing between the buildings and the floating screens were orbiting all around the town.

Suddenly, an announcement started,

 "Today's early morning weather is 23° C. Humidity level is higher than usual. Predicted rain will begin in 5…4..3..2..1.."

Kairos looked up and saw the rain was almost on its way to the ground.

"The rain will continue for 30 minutes by analysing the cloud state. Enjoy the early morning rain." The announcement turned off.

This is really an extraordinary world.

"Let's go. I've already booked a room in an inn. We will stay there for a week." Stevan said.

"Okay."

Irosa was holding Kairos's hand because the neon lights all over the town were making her feel uncomfortable. But Kairos wasn't feeling that at all. Instead, he was enjoying every corner of the town.

After walking for a few minutes, Stevan stopped in front of a small house which wasn't floating like the rest of the small buildings. It was a normal inn with a few people inside.

When they went inside the room, the first thing Kairos saw was the tv. So he asked him, "What is that?". "That's an mv. Mana vision. This must be your first time seeing this right? It's a device that manacast channels from the mana vision centre. I will teach you everything so don't worry," Stevan said.

But, Kairos wasn't from a world where technology didn't exist. He was from a world where hovercrafts were invented recently. Tv was a thing people used in 2030. 

"I will be in your care," Kairos said.

   It's better not to tell him that we are from a world where TV exists without magic right? I want to learn things from the ABC in this world. 

The inn they were staying at was far away from the main town. So, the view he was seeing from his room was spectacular. 

This world, I will become so greedy for it. I don't care about the heroes now. But if they are the cause of this world's destruction, I will be glad to kill them with my own two hands.

A floating screen from the room's artificial system came in front of him with a notification that he smells filthy. 'Please take a shower and change your clothes. Your hygiene is our first priority.'

So, he punched the screen but his fist went through it.

"Tsk!! How dare you give me emotional damage!"
