Ch 59 – Jack Bourn

'Ohoho, to think Elizabeth would dare challenge me.' A man thought, sitting on a golden throne with long, flowing golden hair. His eyes were sharp and ferocious that belongs to a lion. His skin was bronze and rippled with muscles along with draconic veins. Wearing a white suit covered with golden lines as a cape made of golden fabric dons on his back, a confident, nonchalant smile plastered on his face as his eyes glow golden.

'To think she, a mere mortal, would dare challenge me?' Jack Bourn thought, his grin widening that it almost splits his face into two, his jagged, monstrous teeth being licked by his tongue.

'It's finally time to show to the world once more what it means to be undefeated.' Jack Bourn nonchalantly thought, his body standing up and he directly appears on a stage without any warning.

Right within a multi-kilometer-long circular arena, millions of Jack's subjects could be seen cheering as the confetti of iridescent lights fly around the whole stage, many were shouting with all their might for the oncoming event that has been a surprise for everyone in the kingdom.

Not only that, everyone in the world is watching through the floating spherical drones all around the arena that are showing the event to the people all around the world, multiple gigantic screens are in the middle of tens of thousands of kingdoms all around the 5 continents, for fighting a King is a grand event that everyone should watch and enjoy.

As everyone saw Jack Bourn appear floating on the right side of the arena, everyone further erupts into a loud cheer as everyone chants his name.

"JACK BOURN! JACK BOURN! JACK BOURN!"

"Hahaha! Is everyone ready!" Jack Bourn shouts, his voice booming through the whole arena ranging for tens of kilometers.

"YES!"

"Well let's start the match already!" Jack Bourn shouts as everyone saw ice mist erupt from the entrance on the left side of the arena, and what walks through was Elizabeth the Ice Princess.

Seeing Elizabeth, everyone also erupts into another bout of cheers while Elizabeth stands tall on the other end of the stage, the mist of ice around her freezing the ground below her in a circular pattern.

"Elizabeth my dear, it's a surprise seeing you challenge me out of nowhere!" Jack Bourn said, his eyes gleaming with a darker shade of gold.

Remaining silent, Elizabeth takes out her Ancient Ice Dragon card as Jack only shakes his head with his smirk still plastered on his face.

As everyone saw the battle was about to start, they remained cheering and they all erupted into a loud roar upon seeing Elizabeth throw her card and summon an unbelievable Ancient Ice Dragon.

"The rumors were true!"

"Who would have thought there wasn't just an Ice Dragon in Lazur, but also an Ancient Ice Dragon!"

As the audience mutters their shock, Jack remained floating in midair while he remained nonchalant and calm.

"You can't hope to defeat me, Elizabeth! You and I know I will remain undefeated in the Eastern Continent!" Jack Bourn said, his body slowly landing on the ground while his hair rises to the air, the pressure his body exudes causing the dust particles around him to shoot out in a circular pattern.

"AID, use Blizzard and Ice Armor!" Elizabeth orders as the AID roars and the whole arena that ranges for tens of kilometers easily erupts into a blizzard from the clouds that gathered above them, changing the weather from a clear sunny day to a freezing blizzard.

Covering its body in an encasing of Ice, the AID remains wary of its opponent that its master cautioned him.

"Sunny Day," Jack Bourn said, the cloud on the right side of the arena flies away within seconds while the sun above him glows brighter and made anyone dare not look at the sky for the fear of getting blinded by the bright luminosity.

Seeing the weather was also in Jack's favor, Elizabeth shouts an order to turn the tide of the battle. "Use Ice Beam!"

"Solar Beam," Jack said, the sunlight gathering at the palm of his hand, and out came a pillar of solar light to clash with the beam of ice that erupts from the mouth of the AID.

Upon contact, the middle of the arena got covered in a cloud of evaporated water vapor which Elizabeth deliberately did.

"Shoot another Ice Beam to the water vapor!" Elizabeth said while she throws another card beside her and out came her Level 7 Ice Elemental.

Shooting the Ice Beam, Jack Bourn creates a wall of flame to block the attack and noticed the water vapor in front of him changing into countless floating crystals of ice.

"Your attacks are merely petty tricks, against unrivaled might, one does not need to concoct petty schemes!" Jack Bourn said, stretching his hand out to grasp the chest of the Ice Elemental that suddenly appeared in front of him.

"ICE ELEMENTAL! EXPLODE!" Elizabeth shouts while two cards erupt behind her in tandem after the ice elemental explodes to cover Jack in ice.

As the Ice Titan appears behind her, she watches its body quickly enlarge to drastic proportions upon appearing on top of her Ice Dragon to siphon off its cold energy, its skeletal body changing into a more humanoid appearance while its right arm transforms into an icicle spear.

"Charge! AID, aid them by covering the whole ground with ice temporarily!" Slamming its legs down on the ground, the whole ground of the arena transforms into crystal blue ice and the Ice Dragon could be seen sliding forward at drastic speeds, a trail of blue ice erupting behind its back as it shoots forward at hypersonic speeds indicated by the sonic boom behind it.

Shooting forward before Jack could escape his ice encasing, everyone watches the Ice Titan's spear plunging deep into Jack's chest, the ice around his body shattering into countless shards to reform the Ice Elemental that fuses with the Ice Titan's body to form an armor of crystal blue ice around it.

"Kuwak!" Jack pukes out blood from his mouth, the pain shooting up to his eyes that went bloodshot but his nonchalant smirk still retains.

"I already told you, petty tricks don't matter when fighting against a GOD!" Jack shouts, his eyes blaring into golden lights and his hair fully pointing towards the sky, defying gravity itself as his whole body erupts into golden flames.

Blocking their eyes, everyone watches the Ice Dragon Knight Titan whatever it was power fusion shoot backward kilometers away from Jack to the wall while Elizabeth watches Jack with gritted teeth.

"I'll show you why they call me undefeated!" Jack said, a screen flashing in front of him for everyone to see.

[Undefeated – Level 10]

Undefeated, an ability fitting for an anomaly such as Jack Bourn, none truly knows how it works and what abilities it gives but everyone knows what it was for, it was for Jack to never lose.

Whether it be cooking, shitting, or breathing, he can never, and will never be defeated in anything, that's how petty his ability was. And in a fight, it truly shows his undefeated prowess.

Pointing his hands forward, a blade of solar light erupts that was half his body and he crouches midair, preparing to shoot forwards at hypersonic speeds.

Widening her eyes, both Elizabeth and AID shoot beams of ice from their bodies to construct a shield of ice that ranges tens of meters large, both desperate to protect themselves from Jack Bourn.

But it was futile as in mere moments, moments so fast that their brain couldn't even process it, they heard a loud boom in front and behind them to see motes of light shoot toward Elizabeth.

Turning her head around, she sees Jack Bourn standing right in front of the wall where a large crater now formed, the motes of light around it gathering into three cards that she grabbed instinctually when the three returned back to her.

As Jack Bourn turns on the tip of his heel, he lets out a loud cackle while everyone else erupts into loud cheers, replacing the dull silence that appeared when Jack Bourn killed her three monsters.

"Just give up already, Elizabeth! You have no chance of defeating me, not now, not later, not ever! Not everyone is born the same, and I guess I was just given a blessing higher than what you were given!" Jack Bourn taunts, his arms crossed on his chest while the glow around his body recedes.

Gritting her teeth, she looks at her AID who nods its head at her.

Without warning, Jack Bourn watches her with an intrigued smile as she rushes straight toward her AID and jumps on top of its head, the blue glow around her fusing with the AID as their minds meld into one.

As both of their bodies explode into a blue light that forced everyone to shield their eyes including Jack, they watched the blue light transform into a humanoid silhouette and as the light recedes, what appeared was Elizabeth now fused with the Ancient Ice Dragon.

Her dress is now gone and replaced with a scaly suit that exposes her stomach, a pair of light blue horns and wings now adorn her head and back, and a pair of sharp claws in the form of a glove and boot-like equipment now covers both her arms and legs, her teeth now jagged and her tongue long like a snake, a large draconic tail colored light blue and covered in tales erupts behind her back.

"I guess it's time for Round 2 then!" Jack Bourn shouts, his body shooting forward at hypersonic speeds and appearing right in front of Elizabeth in less than a second.

But in response, Elizabeth constructs an ice barrier around her body that fully stopped Jack's raging fist, the ice barrier shatters into countless crystalline shards in response.

"Ice Age," Elizabeth mutters, and without anyone even processing what happened, Jack was flung backward and the whole stage was now covered in ice, the whole arena was now in Elizabeth's flavor within a single move.

Materializing an ice spear in her right arm, Jack Bourn simply grins and his body suddenly erupts into fiery flames, and as Elizabeth widens her eyes in disbelief along with everyone else, they watched Jack Bourn's body now appear similar to Elizabeth's body when she fused with the Ancient Ice Dragon.

"Kukuku, so this is the power of an Ancient Fire Dragon!" Jack shouts, his eyes mad with power and he appears right in front of Elizabeth within a single moment and he felt his right claw digging deep into her stomach, causing her to puke out blood onto his mouth that he swallows like sweet honey.

Gritting her teeth, Elizabeth freezes her ice-cold blood that Jack swallowed in a desperate attempt but it was futile as she watches his mouth glow fiery red, the temperature around his body turning so hot that she felt beads of sweat appearing on her forehead which alarmed her.

"It's time to die, Elizabeth-chan," Jack said with a maddening grin, his whole body erupting into yellow light as her life flashed before her very eyes.

"D-did she die?" the audience asked upon seeing the blizzard raging on the whole arena disappear.

But in a twist of fate, they watch Jack Bourn looking around everywhere with bewildered eyes and Elizabeth's body was nowhere to be seen.

"ELIZABETH! WHERE ARE YOU! I'M COMING TO GET YOU!" Jack Bourn shouts like a hunter playing with its prey, but he quickly sees the air in front of him glitch for a split second, and Elizabeth could be seen in a princess carry by an unknown man wearing a white cloak, a violet shirt, black pants, and black leather shoes, his short black hair flowing with the wind around him as Elizabeth looks at the man in disbelief.

"F-Freidrich?" Elizabeth asked in disbelief, her eyes wide upon seeing Braun suddenly protecting him out of nowhere.

"Just call me Braun," Braun said, flashing an amicable smile to Elizabeth that caused her face to suddenly turn red as a tomato which pissed Jack Bourn.

"Don't act so lovey-dovey in front of me you prick! Who the fuck even are you!" Jack Bourn shouts as he watches Braun softly land on the ground and drop Elizabeth so that she can stand up on her own.

Turning his head around for everyone to see, the camera pans to Freidrich Braun as everyone felt their hearts thumping in sheer excitement.

"The name's Freidrich Braun, and I'll be the one to defeat V, the god of this world!" Braun said, a flash of violet light materializing behind him and they all watch his eyes turn violet just like the being that appeared beside him that looks like if Braun had long hair.

"Defeat V? Oh please, you wouldn't even be able to defeat me!" Jack Bourn guffawed, his grin widening as Braun simply shrugs his shoulders.

"Your power really blindsided you from the taste of defeat, then let me show you what it truly means to be unrivaled under heaven and earth!" Braun said, his grin widening as he closes in on Jack Bourn with slow, steady steps.

"Then go ahead, try me!" Jack Bourn said, his body dropping down to the ground to face Braun who stands right in front of him, their height difference showing a comedic scene that made everyone hold their laughter.

"If you say so!" Braun said, his right fist rearing back as everyone expects him to lose, especially Jack Bourn.

But as a drastically loud boom suddenly erupts from his fist when he clenches it that the sheer wind pressure causes cracks to appear all around the arena walls, their thoughts suddenly came to a halt as a chill crept up their spine.

"Here I go!" Braun said, and before Jack could do anything, the fist shoots forward at faster than light speeds, an easy feat for an experienced reality warper like Braun even with his weak esper muscles, and just like that, it was as if a world-ending punch was packed into a singular fist, a boom of light erupts from the epicenter of their contact and everyone sees Jack Bourn's body disintegrating into dust particles.

"W-what?" Elizabeth mutters in shock behind Braun as she couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing, the whole arena descends into an unbearable silence that even a drop of a needle would be like a hammer smashing into steel, nay, the whole world turned into pure silence for a split second.

But that silence quickly turned into cries, shouts, roars of disbelief, shock, anger, sadness, despair, and many emotions packed into a loud boom that was created by the tandem of voices all around the world.

And as they watched a V Card manifest in front of Braun, they watch him grab it with his right arm and fireworks erupts out of nowhere and shoots to the sky, for a new King was born.

"Get ready V! For my hunt is about to finally start!"
