Fated To The Dark Alpha

"Young Lycan!" A sweet and melodic voice called. "Selene!" Darren said as soon as he turned around recognizing her as if her image has been engraved into his mind. "I curse you, Darren." She said and looked at the pile of dead bodies lying all over the place. "For what you have done you will relive your worse moment in your slumber, Darren. Until you find your mate, your slumber shall never be peaceful." "Even when you find her, you will know no peace. This is your curse for what you have done." The moon goddess said as she started fading into the night. "Remember this Darren." Follow the Story of Darren and Kora to read more. "What do I do now?" Kora asked and looked up at Ezra who was indifferent toward her. She was not annoyed that he was being indifferent because she knew that he was a gamma who must live up to that title when he was with his pack members.

"Run." He said and briefly glanced at her. "Run five laps around then come to me when you are done," Ezra said and walked away from her.

Kora looked at the massive training ground and wondered if truly he wanted her to run around it five times. Then she remembered saying that she won't complain to Lazarus and decided to run since he had decided to give her a chance and train her. She parked her hair into a messy bun atop her head and started to run.

Ezra walked away and stood at a distance watching her, everyone else on the training ground had their eyes on her. She was only five years old so it was no wonder she had caught everyone's attention. Training starts when you were either seven or eight years of age by then it was certain that you must have experienced your very first shift because some pups tend to be late shifters and couldn't shift at five or six.

They watched as she completed the first lap and began the second, they noticed her heavy breathing but she stubbornly continues running. Soon, the second lap was completed. Just when they thought that she might give up, she began the third lap. They had to give it to her for her persistence.

She was persistent and determined to finish the five laps that Ezra had asked her to run.

Halfway through the third lap, she started jogging unable to run anymore. Ezra hooked up his lips when she passed by him and she glared at him and increased her pace again.

"I said run, Kora, not jog." He said making sure that she heard him.

Kora glared at him and forced herself to run. After the third lap was completed, she began the fourth lap, when she got to where Ezra was standing, she stopped and punched him before running again.

Everyone else was surprised to see what she did, they looked at the gamma but he does not react to what Kora had done. It was like he was expecting something like that. Now they were interested in her. Not only did their alpha bring her home all of a sudden, but it seems that she was also quite close with the gamma and possibly the beta as well.

"Get back to work, all of you," Ezra commanded when he noticed that there was not a person training anymore but were all standing and watching Kora.

They all scrammed as soon as he said it. It was not a good idea to anger a gamma knowing that he was the strongest warrior of the pack he could do whatever he wanted to you in the name of training and no one will stand up to him. You couldn't even turn to the alpha for justice because you have wronged your superiors.

Reluctantly, they all began their training once again but of course occasionally stealing glances at Kora who was still running.

Soon, Kora had completed the five laps around the training grounds and returned to stand beside Ezra, panting.

"You did better than I thought," Ezra said and looked at her.

She raised her head and looked at him and asked, "Was that a compliment?"

"Call it whatever you want," Ezra said and returned his focus to the others.

"Ezra..." Kora called, still breathing heavily. "I am thirsty, do you have water here?" She asked.

Ezra took a bottle of water and handed it to her. "Why didn't you stop when you were tired?"

"Because I promise to train and not run away. If I stop then how do I train?" She replied after drinking the water that Ezra had given to her. Ezra said nothing. "Why did you make me run five laps?"

"That is part of your training, you should have run more laps than that but because you are....." He sized her up and then continued, "....small, I asked you to run five laps. There will increase as the days go by. Get used to it."

"What now?" Kora asked.

"That is all for you today, don't get too hard on yourself so you don't break yourself. You won't get anywhere if that happens." Ezra said walking ahead a few steps. "You don't have a wolf yet, and you are still under aged for this type of training, I will take it slow with you else, you won't be able to make it. Tomorrow, you will continue to run and every other day will start with a few laps before you can proceed with any other training." He walked away.

Kora ran after him and caught up with him. "So what should I do now? Should I go back to the pack house or can I stay and watch?" she asked.

"Stay, watch them closely, you might learn something from them that will be useful to you in your future training," Ezra said and glanced at her.

"Okay. I will stay and watch." Kora said and made her way to a bench to sit and watch.

*********

"Stop!"

Sebastian and Collins heard a voice behind them. They stopped moving and stood in place. The past two days had been frustrating, they couldn't find a single pack that will accept them ever since they left the Shadow moon pack and now, here they were in the vampire territory seeking refuge.

They couldn't imagine themselves living with humans. Now they have known exactly who Darren was. The rumours that have been spreading about one lycan taking over all the packs were now confirmed and that lycan was Darren. His last words to them now made perfect sense.

Telling them that they were no pack that wasn't his except one. And wishing them good luck as rogues.

They turned around and saw a group of people standing not so far away from them. To their surprise, they were not only vampires, there were werewolves as well and some other people whom they couldn't recognize yet.

They had come here to join forces with the vampires to spite Darren, they never expected that there were already some other creatures that have joined forces with them as well. They may not know their motive for joining the vampires, but they know that the vampires must have found them useful in some way before accepting them.

"Why are you here?" One of the vampires present at the place asked. "This place is not for people like you."

"We are here to join forces with you." Collins the former beta said.

"You are not welcomed here leave." said the vampire.

"You have them with you, why are we not allowed?" Sebastian asked.
