15. The ceremony

"You have them with you, why are we not allowed?" Sebastian asked and pointed at the shifters and other creatures with the vampires. They could not be any insensitive towards them. Were these people with them any different from Collins and himself? "If you can keep them, then you will also have no issue keeping us as well."

The vampire in charge looked at the two of them and asked, "What do you have to offer?"

"Darren McCain," Sebastian said while Collins Concord.

The vampire smiled at them and looked at his subordinates, they nodded at him. "Follow us," he said and led them deeper into the woods.

Shadow moon pack.

A week has gone by since Darren returned to the Shadow Moon pack and took over the Alpha position of the pack. Now the time has come for him to make himself known to all as the Alpha Supreme. He intended to take another pack and make his residence but changed his mind at the last minute and decide to stay at the Shadow Moon pack.

Words were sent to all the existing packs, inviting them to the Alpha's ceremony. Preparations were being made and the pack house was making arrangements to welcome house its biggest audience yet.

The members of the Shadow Moon pack didn't understand why they had to make such a fuss about something that should only concern their pack. There was no need to invite the other packs as well.

They were reluctant to even hold a ceremony in honor of Darren but Lucy and Lucinda had completely different plans from them as they were willing to use as much magic as needed to make the occasion as grand as it can be and to make it one to remember even in the next and coming generation. To them, there was no one more worthy than Darren for such an important occasion.

"They seem excited about this." Mateo pointed out the obvious. They were currently on the top floor of the pack house looking down at what was happening down there. "Even more than you are, Alpha," he said again.

"Let them do whatever they want," Darren said, also looking at the two women busying themselves around. "This is a one-time opportunity for them."

They all chuckled. Leo and Logan were also present there with them. They have grown used to having Darren and his supreme beta and gamma around and no longer felt inferior to them. They were all friends now. They have even warmed up with Lucy and Lucinda.

"Do you think we will see Alpha Lazarus of the Blood Moon pack here?" Asked Levi.

"Don't expect that guy here," Mateo said to Levi, "He might not even show up even if he was given a VIP pass."

"That may be true, but keep an open mind," Darren said to them. "He might come, just this once."

"Let's not expect too much from him, we know what kind of a guy he is." Said Mateo. They all nod knowing that it won't be a surprise if Lazarus didn't show.

"You are all busy talking about someone else when today should be about our alpha right here," Leo said as he shook his head at the rest of the men. "Let's go get him ready for the event."

"Yeah, let's go pick up your outfit," Logan said. "We also don't have what to wear today, it's still early so there is still time to pick them up."

"No need," Damian said when he saw them already turning to leave. They stopped and looked at him. "Those two said they have everything arranged," Darren said and pointed at Lucy and Lucinda.

"Hey, boys!" Lucinda called looking up at them. "Come down here and help if you ain't gonna get prepared now, will ya?" she said with her hands on her waist.

"I think we got her attention," Levi said smiling sheepishly at Lucinda who was still looking up at them. "What do we do now?"

"You four go on and see what she will need your help with," Darren said to them.

"What about you?" They asked at the same time.

"When have you heard of an Alpha doing chores not to mention, at his party?" Darren asked with a smirk on his lips.

"What are all still waiting there for? Get your ass down here." Lucinda yelled.

"We should go before she gets mad," Logan said and they all chuckled and walked downstairs leaving Darren behind.

Blood moon pack.

"Will you attend?" Raven asked, looking at the invite in his hand. Lazarus has no expression on his face as he looked outside the window of his office. "Every other alpha will be going there tonight."

"We don't have to go, we are not under his territory," Ezra said stating his point.

There was silence after his statement waiting for Lazarus to break it. Lazarus was quiet the whole time as they waited with no intention of breaking the silence.

"Alpha!" Raven called. "Are we going?"

"Do you both want to go?" Lazarus asked finally breaking his silence. "I have no business with the Alpha supreme, but we can go if you want to. I don't see the harm in that."

"As long as you approve, Alpha," Raven said. "As long as you approve, we will go."

"I'll go and make the arrangements for the trip then," Ezra said and prepares to leave.

Just as he stood up about to leave, the door to the study was opened. They all turned their attention to the door only to see the small and annoying girl standing and looking at Lazarus, well that was what Raven thought of her. Small and annoying.

"Who asked you to come in?" Raven asked with a frown. "We are having an important conversation and don't need your disturbances."

Ezra sat back down and looked at the girl, h knew that she came not just to make a fuss or intrude on them. Knowing her in the past week, she would stay far away from wherever Raven was as she considered him wired and annoying.

Kora ignored Raven and turned towards Lazarus, "I need to talk to you." she said and walked further inside, "It is important."

"...."

"You said I should tell you when if it ever happens again," Kora said when he said nothing to her. After she said that, Lazarus' face finally had an expression on it and she knew she had his attention now.

"They are coming here." She said, now standing in front of Lazarus and looking at him.
