Chapter 1:Fated Chaos

They say that conspiracy gossip was the juiciest, more so among popular people. Well this was a conspiracy in the royal family and it was juicy.

All over the kingdom of Wallachia posters were set with a sketchy drawing of a blond haired handsome young man. The common folks knew him all too well to be none other than prince Kai. On his head was a bounty of unimaginable value. The bounty then added below, 'Dead or alive!'

This aroused the question, 'how could this be?'

Rather fortunately there was an answer and who knows the extent of exaggeration of rumors and gossip.

Well they say the prince staged a coup that failed but he ran away. The Palace and the royal grounds were restricted to only certain persons and the folks never got a glimpse of the royal family again. They never got out and the Palace entrance was heavily guarded.

The mystery of this conspiracy was that the perpetrator in question had no motive for the crime. The Prince never had once shown desire for the throne, quite in fact the rumors say he despised being the heir. He even refused the title crown prince. So again the question, why do it?

Well, what's to say that the king was a ruthless dictator and the general populace held a distaste for the throne. So this might be motive for the young prince to try and kill his father. If one of them saw him all they would remember was the price of the bounty. That was how society is shaped in these and the times to come. It is either you destroy or being destroyed. The lot are not fond of the latter.

Now the question everyone was asking themselves was, where was their prey?

Days ago a deranged lad stumbled in the quiet village of Band'hu claiming to be looking for the Shaman, Sedai. Upon arrival, the lad seemed to be overwhelmed with grief and deep guilt, he seemed to be on his last straw to resort to suicide.

The villagers were baffled by his claim. No one had heard of the Shaman Sedai for over hundred years back. The young man was told that nothing but thick forests and overlaying mountains lay beyond their land stretching till the kingdom of Wallace.

So the villagers let the youth despair in his remorse until one day fate smiled at him and gave him what he wanted. The Shaman came to him and took him away without the villagers knowing. To the folks the lad committed suicide or found solace and left. Either way no one cared.

His whole body shaked even his eyes which seemed to flutter at an alarming speed. He seemed to be having a melt down but it was worse, a nightmare. More like a memory but with far amplications of the bad parts.

In a hair's breath his eyes opened and he shot upright. Gladly someone was there to calm him when he was panting.

"Easy there, Kai."

Kai turned to the person. It was a woman, at first glance one could tell she was not human at all. She seemed to be old and young at the same time with a pale white skin and snow white hair. But there was something about her eyes which had glittering white irises, but in those pupils Kai could see multiple possibilities. This was what told him she was not at all normal.

"How did you know my name?" He questioned, his tone becoming defensive.

Her eyes gleamed as she smiled warmly.

"I know everything." She replied calmly.

It was then it dawned him.

"you're the Shaman."

She nodded positively in response.

"Yes indeed and am here to give you the answers you need. You must know that what you want is not what you need. You must accept what you experienced for it will be a part of you."

His expression shook as his irises quaked with hints of fear. His body trembled with a certain reverence, this terror that he swore never again. He had made a resolve that he was determined not to break. He nodded his head in the negative.

The Shaman rose and stared at him intently with a warning look.

"The nightmares will not end until you embrace it. This is your life now and fate has set it on a new course."

Kai met her gaze. "Do I even have a choice?"

"Sadly no. What do you see in my eyes."

Kai looked in her eyes and saw one dominant possibility. He saw darkness but he could feel this darkness was different. It was darker and the terror behind it was mortifying. He knew what this was and what it said about the future. The future was riddled with chaos.

She spoke again, "I believe we can mend it that is how fate writes itself. It writes two options, light or dark. You, Kai Thorne, amongst others is an important piece in the game of fate. All we have to do is play well and we decide our fates or that of the world."
