Sudden Attack
Her scream picked the attention of everyone especially Jax. He looked down at her. The face was painted with the untold pain and a dagger was stabbed in her back shoulder. If she happened not between the dagger then it has the aim of heart the heart of the young vampire Jax Calum. The thrower has perfect calculations just that the stubborn girl was reluctant to go away without speaking something important. Lala bent knee down on the spot and Jax immediately held her. The housekeeper glared the guards and they ran to see who the attacker was.
It was unbelievable that Lord of the Woodland was not safe even in front of his mansion much less the town. Lala lost her color turning pale. Jax picked her up bringing inside the mansion; several maids came rushing. Jax did not know what he was feeling. His dearest girl was losing life in front of him. He wanted to roar and vent out his emotions. Someone called the panel of family doctors. They urgently reached mansion and took hold of the situation. The girl was shifted in the master's room, it was big and suitable.
All the lifesaving machines were served to maintain the breathing. The doctors pulled the dagger and then struggled to stop the waste of blood. The injury was deep and the doctors were afraid of the condition of the girl. It was unstable. The Master of the mansion was also present in the room. He was silently looking as to what measures the doctors were taking. His parents were brutally killed and now someone was after him. Lala was trying to explain things which he was ignoring and the price of disregarding was getting heavier. He can no more take this risk. Not only was his life under threat in fact his dear ones were also getting effected.
The blood dyed the bed sheets red. He cannot imagine the pain Lala going through. The gloomy atmosphere of the mansion turned gloomier. The maids and the servants were standing on toes to get the orders. The doctors finally gave her anesthesia dose so that her body could relax. The injury was covered and the blood stopped temporarily. The pulse was fluctuating before. Now it was stable it took much time treating the deep injury. The fight the loss of blood they arranges two fresh blood supplies. It slowly stabilized her condition.
The doctors heaved a sigh after they were sure that the patient was in better condition. "Next twenty four hours is critical. Someone should be present here. One of the nurses will also observe condition during this time and maintain the drips. The doctors took leave near the evening. Lala was currently unconscious. The guards searched the vicinity but could not stop the vanishing shadow. The Jax family was facing troubles one after other. He was trying to fabricate an excuse and how he would explain the death of his parents in front of his sister and here he himself was under danger. The things were getting messy and mysterious.
He sent a report to the Lord of Dusk Lake and thought to wait until he receives the reply. Twenty four hours were critical and Lala needed his attention. Jax picked a chair and places near the bed. He sat and observed the girl. Within few days the number of incidents ruined her innocent and always smiling countenance. She was presenting the picture of tortures and unending pain all just because of the person she loved. Jax did wrong to her and he admits his mistake. He promised that from now on he would never mistrust her.
He would never cause pain to her. He would have cried for his mistake but before finding the culprit and then making him pay the crime there was no way that he could apology the girl. The time was ticking and nurse came every after some time to check the condition of the patient. Jax patiently sat near the unconscious girl. His brain was blurry and none of the recent or past incidents could provide enough reasoning to begin the investigation in right order. Jesse White was not in the town and now Jax was clear that someone planted the picture of Lala in his mansion to stray him from the real culprit.
The whole night went by Lala still remained unconscious it increased the worry. Jax was walking with concern. He called the doctors before morning. He wanted them to thoroughly examine the patient. The doctors were equally worried. Normally patient wakes up within twelve hours. They checked; there no signs of fall in the condition it was not improving though which was worrisome.
The next day late morning; there was some movement. Jax hurriedly held her hand to tell that he was near her. Lala opened her eyes only to see the person she hate now.
