Furious

The deep forest was the hidden place of the pack of various Alfa wolves. One of the packs was not under any Alfa. The leader of this pack was ruthless and aggressive. Not following order brings death. The pack was little oblivious of the recent movements because the leader was nearing the vampire lands slowly.

The wolves were prohibited to appear in the restricted lands by the treaty between the two races. Ignoring the treaty means that the pack no longer cares about it which could bring trouble for the pack. The mysterious leader of the pack was also strange in all ways.

Jax nodded. Going through the past documents he found some rare one. "Are you sure it is a wolf?" Jax inquired. His cousin has no reason to speak lie twice if it was a wolf then he as Lord of the Woodland can use all his means and see which of the pack was looking for trouble and wanted to break the treaty.

For a wolf to appear near the mansion cannot be called a coincidence moreover twice. It was a sign that one from the eleven packs of wolves was preparing to initiate the war.

"It is the impression of a wolf; I am certain now." Foster grace uttered confidently. "Then I will have to meet the Lord of Dusk Lake soon." Jax voiced thinking about some grim matters. Until now he was blaming Lala without hearing her explanation. The first priority was to distinguish truth from false. It was questionable as to what he witnessed was truth or false?

Thinking this he stood up for the preparations of a long journey. Getting approval from the Lord would benefit in case the whole pack of wolves was involved in this crime. He needed a number of vampires to destroy the pack. There were several aspects that needed his attention. Being Lord of Woodland he was obliged to act rationale and serene rather than blunt and impulsive.

There was a chance that Lala was implanted by the pack. After all he was the next heir of the Lordship of the Woodland and belongs to the Calum family. Foster Grace left after briefly talking about the grim situation. As soon as Jax thought about the Calum family the first thought to bring threat made him worried.

If his mansion was not secure and his parents were brutally killed then his sister was not safe either. Whoever was behind this must have known all the members of the Calum family.

It was equal to ignoring her safety. She was sent in the boarding on her own request. She wanted to explore the outside world and her parents were too lenient to listen to her every demand. Jax cancelled his plan for a visit to the Dusk Lake Lord instead it was more pressing to bring the younger sister back.

Before bringing her back he needed to make sure the mansion was secure in every way. The numbers of the guards were increased already. The maids and the servants were also restricted. He issued some strict orders. No matter the identity one should be killed if found wandering around the mansion aimlessly.

The housekeeper was standing in front waiting for the Master for further orders. "Amber will return tomorrow in the mansion. Select some responsible maids for her. No one is allowed to tell her what happened in the mansion recently." Jax ordered and waved his hand for the housekeeper to leave.

He cannot relate what happened to his parents. Amber would not be able to stand it. She loved mom and dad. It would influence the rest of her life so Jax decided to hide the true circumstances.

Maids were ordered to prepare and pack food for the Master. Lala came to know that Jax was going somewhere. She wanted to talk to him and ask what he had decided about her fate. In hope to confront him she ran and came in front when he was walking out of the main entrance of the inner mansion.

Jax halted his steps and saw her questioning eyes. He moved away from his face without saying anything. It broke her heart. They had been lovers for four years straight. She never cheated him or complained about anything. What was her crime? She did not deserve this attitude in return. All these thoughts flashed past her head and stepped aside.

But before he could disappear from her sight she remembered something important to let him know. It was about the incident of six months ago. Lala was too careless to ignore such happenings and hide it from Jax worrying that he might leave her alone just like her sister.

The carriage was standing near the gate. Lala ran and came in front of the Lord again. The housekeeper and the guard leapt to stop her but froze when they heard her scream.
