Chapter - 20: Third Heavenly Blade!

---------------

"Shotoren!" Otakemaru commanded, his voice carrying a divine weight that seemed to slow the very flow of time in the world.

Before the eyes of all the war's participants, a portal opened above their heads. From the heart of this swirling vortex emerged a katana, its hilt adorned with intricate blue carvings that pulsed with otherworldly vitality.

The blade itself was a masterpiece of craftsmanship, forged from a material that shone with the white brilliance associated with its elemental nature. Its edges gleamed with the keenness of a razor, capturing ambient light in a mesmerizing play of white and blue.

With no need for control, the heaven sword began to ascend on its own, soaring high into the sky. In a display of power that defied the comprehension of ordinary humans in this modern age, the surrounding environment underwent a profound transformation.

An icy shield formed around the weapon, shielding its master from the fiery assault of the enemy Servant. Simultaneously, the very air seemed to quiver and ripple as it struggled to contain the overwhelming force of the adversary's Noble Phantasm.

"Hikage, kokuyo no yūgure," Otakemaru muttered, his celestial sword's elemental power surging to resist the Noble Phantasm that threatened to annihilate everything in its path.

The surrounding trees and rocks began to freeze, turning into dust within seconds, transforming the landscape into an icy wasteland. The very ground itself rippled and flowed like a tranquil river under the influence of the sword's dominating presence. In the midst of this breathtaking spectacle.

Otakemaru stood at the epicenter, his expression unchanging. His gaze remained fixed on the sword, reflecting an indifference to all that was unfolding, as if this had all been part of his plan.

"What have you done? What have you conjured?" Shiro exclaimed, his voice filled with alarm, held in check by Archer to prevent a hasty decision like Shinji's.

Oni tilted his head in an almost cute manner. "I've simply made things a lot more interesting for all of us," he replied calmly, turning his gaze back to the city below. "A Grand Holy Grail War typically involves 14 Servants, a 7-on-7 battle when the original Masters form alliances," he stated matter-of-factly, revealing the true extent of the situation they were now facing.

"But do you understand what you have done? Do you think this can be covered up?" Rin's voice trembled with panic as she pointed towards the growing flames.

The situation was spiraling out of control, and the consequences of your actions were becoming increasingly apparent. She was on the verge of a panic attack, overwhelmed by the magnitude of this Holy Grail War.

Kirei Kotomine, on the other hand, couldn't help but smile, a subtle expression that went unnoticed by most. He relished the chaos and destruction that was unfolding before them. How many would meet a gruesome end as the flames consumed them?

In response to the chaos and despair around him, Otakemaru simply shrugged, an air of nonchalance about him. He rested a hand on his chin and allowed a broad smile to creep across his face. "Well, I thought it would be interesting," he remarked casually, as if the unfolding chaos was merely an entertaining spectacle.

[Interlude]

*Flashing Sparks*

The cacophony of metal colliding with metal, violent clangs echoing for miles around. The once-clear skies now burned a fiery red, cloaked in flames, with no trace of clouds or the sun's gentle glow.

For the humans who bore witness to this cataclysmic event, hope had long since vanished, replaced by a sense of impending divine judgment.

"With my seals of command, I compel you, Archer! Dissolve your noble phantasm!"

"You... How dare you!"

In an instant, the fiery firmament returned to its normal state, as if the flames had never raged in the first place. However, the aftermath of the devastation remained painfully evident.

The mountain had been reduced to rubble, its fragments scattered far and wide, some crashing into houses, others into shops. Countless lives had been snuffed out, crushed beneath the debris or impaled on the jagged stones, a gruesome testament to the wanton destruction that had unfolded.

Yet, to the one responsible for this carnage, the loss of life seemed inconsequential, an afterthought in the wake of such overwhelming power.

The architect of this chaos was a young girl whose beauty stood in stark contrast to the destruction she had wrought. She hovered in the air, her gaze fixed upon the mature man below, her eyes cold and seething with anger at having been thwarted.

Her scarlet cloak billowed around her, while her attire consisted of a pitch-black military uniform. Her long, flowing raven hair framed her face, and her crimson eyes gleamed like precious gems.

Though, at this moment, her eyes quivered not with fear but with the intensity of her rage at being compelled to stand down. "You insolent monkey, do you seek to further incense me?" she hissed, one hand gripping the hilt of her blade while the other remained concealed behind her back. "Speak, then!"

"Demon King Oda Nobunaga, I can empathize with your fury, but your actions have crossed the line, endangering the lives of countless innocent people!" The man's words rang out with unyielding authority, as if he were proclaiming an undeniable truth.

He was a figure of imposing stature, tall and muscular, with a weathered countenance. His beard formed a distinctive cross shape, and his long, curling hair framed his face.

Crimson eyes burned with purpose beneath his high crown, adorned with golden armor and a black and white bodysuit adorned with intricate golden detailing. A golden cross emblazoned his chest, and black cloth cascaded from his pauldrons.

The Ruler-class servant maintained his composure, his blade pointed firmly at her. "As a Ruler, I cannot turn a blind eye to the suffering you are causing your own Innocent people!"

His response seemed to momentarily freeze the Demon King in place, but then her entire form began to tremble, and she unleashed a primal roar that contorted her face in rage.

"Innocent?" She leaned forward, her eyes burning with fury, raising her hand to her face in a sweeping gesture. "Look at them! Look at what has become of my country! My land! What is this madness? They walk around like fools! Slouched and feeble! We are warriors, not a bunch of pussy..."

She gestured wildly at the world around her. "...This! What has become of my glorious Japan! Unforgivable! Intolerable!" The archer roared with indignation, her crimson eyes distorting as the air around her sizzled with heat.

The Demon King of the Sixth Heaven was livid, and she intended to make every living being in this perceived affront to her world feel her wrath.

"...Really immature," the Ruler murmured, bewildered by the situation he found himself in. What had brought him to this strange war?

"Silence! Further speech will only seal your fate. How dare my nation sink to this level!" Oda Nobunaga seethed, her gaze sweeping angrily across her surroundings.

"What has wrought this self-satisfaction? What has become of my people! The very same people who would rather die standing than bow to oppressors?! You... Is your God an affront?!" She raged, her crimson eyes fixated on the crosses adorning the Ruler's attire, finding them an affront.

".... Archer, you must recognize your own misjudgment. How could someone like you not see that you've also slain your Master?" The Ruler spoke in a measured tone, prepared for combat if necessary.

He now understood that the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven had spiraled out of control, and he couldn't allow her to continue slaughtering innocents for what he considered a futile cause.

Nevertheless, he realized that facing the empowered Demon King head-on in her homeland would be challenging. His only consolation was that without a Master, she would eventually run out of prana and fade away.

Oda Nobunaga responded with a scornful sneer before leaning in with a maniacal grin. "Foolish man, our summoning was empowered by the leylines, from which I'm drawing prana even as we speak, allowing me to resist for a while longer..." She drew her blade, fully intent on correcting this heretic.  "State your name."

"I am Karl der Große, and I shall smite you in the name of our Lord!" The Ruler raised his black and gold broadsword with both hands, prepared for battle, his confidence unwavering in his ability to vanquish any foe who defied his holy lord.
