CHAPTER 8

Nick was tapping the table with his fingers and watching the picture of the land on the board.

The hall fell silent and when the auctioneer was about to speak, a clear stern voice said "One Billion"

Everyone turned their gazes and saw the voice come from a table where Nick was seated. The people were stunned and were beyond belief by hearing the bid amount. Even Ashen face turned pale hearing the amount. Then the hall grew silent with no more biding. The auctioneer called "One Billion" and continued "And the land belongs to Mr Nick from Kingston group"

Nick gave a light nod to Andrew and then Andrew got up to the stage and took the cheque leaf from his blazers and handed it over to the auctioneer.

After getting through the formalities, the auctioneer turned to Andrew with the papers in his hands.

Andrew made his way down the stage followed by the auctioneer. The auctioneer made a small bow in front of Nick and placed the papers on the table in front of Goshen.

Nick took the pen from Andrew and signed the papers. The auctioneer gave an honest smile and took the signed papers in his hands.

After that Nick stood up from his seat and made his way out the hall. When he was about to reach the door, He saw Ashen Zhang from the corner of his eyes and gave him a cold smirk.

Ashen face altered between green and red and his hands formed into a fist.
