Chapter 30

Harry is currently sitting in front of Professor McGonagall in the classroom. When everyone left the classroom she cast a silencing charm to stop others to listen the conversation happening between them.

"Mr. Potter, I want to ask some questions to you and want your honest answer on them."

"I will try to give the honest answer to your questions."

"Then tell me about your childhood, living with your relative?"

When he heard her question, he became surprised as he did not think that she asked him about his childhood. He doesn't like to talk about his childhood that much because of the abuse he receives from his relative.

"It is alright Professor."

Harry doesn't say much as did not want to catch him for lying. He lied to her as he was still not sure to trust her as she trust Dumbledore way too much.

"Mr. Potter, as I said before I want the truth. If you are not able to trust me then I will take the magical oath."

After she says that she takes the magical oath that she is not going to disclose anything she hears from him until he wants to disclose it if she did disclose then she is going to lose her magic.

Harry thinks that he is going to give her a chance as even though she tried to betray him she is going to lose her magic.

"Ok, I will tell you."

Then Harry started to tell her about the 12 years he spent with Dursley. Harry noticed that she has tears and anger in her eyes. After listening halfway, she stand up from her seat and hug him, and started crying.

"I am sorry, it is all my mistake."

Harry is surprised about all of this. He is not understanding anything. Professor McGonagall is crying and even apologizing to him. He wants to say something but stop and wait for her to stop her crying as it relives some of her pain.

It takes some time for her to stop crying and her composure to return.

He give her a glass of water and waited for her to calm down so that he can ask her.

Minerva takes the glass of water and drinks it, she then looks towards Harry who looks like he wants to say something. She know what he wants to ask, so she started to speak with him as she is as much guilty as his relative, she leave him with those bastards and never even check on him.

"I know what you want to ask but first let me explain first and if you have any questions afterward, you can ask me."

Harry nods his head in yes and lets her explain.

"I am with Albus when he left you with them, I warn him but he said that you are safe there and I take his words for granted."

"It is not your mistake Professor, you are just believing that I am safe there."

"BUT I CAN CHECK ON YOU BUT I DIDN'T."

She yelled and started crying again. Harry hugged her as he think that this way she will be at ease quickly.

She becomes surprised when he hugged her but strangely she is feeling comfortable by the hug.

Harry lets her go when she stopped crying again and convinces her that it is not her mistake which took a lot of time. When he sees the time it is already the time for his next class and he is going to be late for the class.

Professor McGonagall gains her usual composure and handed him a paper.

"In this paper, it is written that you are busy because you have something to discuss with me, so you don't lose any point or get any detention."

Harry took the letter.

"Thank you, Professor."

"It was my mistake so you should not have to say Thank you."

Before he can say that she leaves the classroom. He also leaves the classroom and goes to his next classroom which is of Study of Ancient Runes. The classroom is hard to find but thanks to the painting, he can reach the class.

When he entered the room, Professor Babbling sees him.

"You are quite late for the class Mr. Potter."

"I am with Professor McGonagall, as she wants to speak with me."

He then hands her a letter and after reading it she allows him to seat him in class.

"Make sure you are on time from next time."

Harry then went and take a seat beside Hermione as she left a seat for him.
