Chapter 5: Servant Vs Servant

Medusa Alter immediately attacked as Mash went forward to meet her as she used her shield to block her scythe. Then the two started to fight as the two humans watched. Felix made sure to keep his eyes peeled as he watched the fight between the Servant and Demi-Servant.

"Mash! Jump!" Felix shouted at her in urgency.

Mash was surprised at his words but she did as he said before two chains hit each other where Mash had just stood. Medusa clicked her tongue as her sneak attack had missed as the chains

"Don't let up! Keep your eyes on her scythe and be careful not to be taken off guard by her chains!" Felix shouted at her as Olga looked at him shocked.

'He's a civilian and yet he is able to act like this?' Olga thought stunned as she looked at the Master.

"Understood Master!" Mash said as she now has determined eyes.

"Tch! Don't think that you can win with just a shield!" Medusa Alter shouted as she started to attack more quickly.

Mash grunted as she kept on blocking the attacks from the Servant. As it looked like she is about to be overwhelmed a pair of mana orbs came from her sides and hit Medusa Alter stunning her. This in turn gave Mash the time to use her shield to hit back and sent the Servant back as she also jumped back and stood with the two humans.

"Thank you for the help Master." Mash said as she gave him a grateful look.

"It's fine. But you shouldn't take your eyes of your opponent." Felix said to her seriously.

"Understood Master." Mash said as she gripped her shield.

'Master is amazing. Even if this is an unfamiliar situation to him he is still able to be so strong and composed.' Mash thought to herself as she looked at Medusa Alter who is brandishing her scythe.

But contrary to what Mash thought Felix is very much scared. He may have played the game and watched the movie, but in the end this is the first time he is in a kind of situation like this. He was just a normal boy who has now found himself in one of the most broken and dangerous universe out of them all.

The only reason he is looking calm is because he has practice in controlling his facial expressions. He knows that having a scared face will only decrease of the people under a leader and as Mash's master he can't show fear, lest she also lose some of her own confidence due to it.

He was also using his gaming experience as he can kind of substitute it as two characters fighting esch other as he kept his eyes on the two. All the while Olga is looking at him shocked at how he had managed to command Mash despite being in an unfamiliar situation.

'His actions are too illogical!' Olga thought to herself in shock.

"Mash. I think that the weapon she has is Harpe from Perseus. That is the only scythe that I can remember from her legend." Felix said to her.

"Okay Master. I'll be careful." Mash said to him as she nodded her head.

"Shut up and die!" Medusa Alter shouted as she jumped and attacked.

"I won't let you hurt Master or the director!" Mash said with determination as she attacked as well.

"Hey, do you know any spells that we can use against that Servant?" Felix asked Olga seriously as he kept his eyes on the fight.

"What? Magecraft of the modern era are no match against Servants. Human's can't defeat Servants!" Olga shouted at him in anger at his idea.

'Yeah, Shirou Emiya would have a different opinion.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at the fight.

The magic circuits in his arms activated as he felt them warming up. He had managed to learn to draw on his Od from the short time out of desperation as he is able to control it to some degree. He made orbs of Od which he threw at Medusa who just smacked it away, in turn being smacked away by Mash's shield.

"Go for her neck!" Felix shouted at her.

Mash dashed towards Medusa with her shield as said Servant made chains of her sword to attack. But to her surprise again multiple small orbs of Od hit her chains and scythe causing her to stagger back and be a bit out of balance. All the time that Mash needed to swing her shield and decapitate the Servant.

Medusa looked at Mash shocked that she has been killed in the same manner that she had been killed before in her life.

'Killed by decapitation again. How could I lose to these children?' Medusa Alter thought to herself in disbelief as her body disappeared in golden motes.

Mash placed her shield on the ground and kneeled beside it as she panted from the amount of effort it took for her to keep up with Medusa Alter's speed. The only reason she survived was because the shield was enough to fully cover her so she only had to focus on her right, left and upper parts for attacks.

"Master! I did it! I defeated the enemy Servant!" Mash declared as she turned to face then with a smile.

"That's... great..." Felix said before he fell on his knees as he groaned.

'My arms are numb.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at his arms.

"Master! Are you okay?" Mash asked worried as she immediately reached him and checked him.

"Yeah. I'm fine. My arms are just feeling numb." Felix said to her with a smile.

"It must be because you had only just opened your circuits and using them for your first time is known to make a mage's body feel numb. For now, you need to rest Master." Mash said to him as she gave him a sympathetic smile.

"I'm all for that idea." Felix said with a wince as he sat on the ground and sighed.

"Just be sure to be ready to run when danger rears it head." Olga said to him with her usual expression, though a small look of concern crossed over her face before it went back to the previous one.

"Right director." Felix said to her as he sighed.

"Well, you're quite an interesting Master." A man's voice said from around them.

The sudden new voice caused the three to become alert again as Mash readied her shield as Olga looked around with a Gandr ready in her right hand. She had just seen Felix use just mana to help in the fight between Mash and Medusa Alter and so she hoped that she could at least distract the Servant and help the shield girl.

"Don't worry kids. I don't bite." The man said as he appeared a few feet in front of them as Felix recognised the man.

'Cu Chulainn Caster.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at the man as some relief came to his mind.
