Chapter 20 - Meeting and Spar

"Okay, so I guess this is us." Felix said as he looked around the group.

He is currently at the cafeteria with Olga, Mash, Roman and the other servants around a large table. Olga is sitting on his left, Mash on his right. Medea on Olga's left and Medusa on Mash's side as the other servants sat around the table.

"Well, we do have a good variety." Roman said as he looked at the newly summoned Servants.

There is Artoria Alter, Medusa Alter, Iskander, Cu Chulainn (Lancer), Archer Emiya, and finally Mata Hari. The last three servants being the ones summoned by Olga after Felix gave her the chance.

Now Olga was quite happy with her summons. She was initially a bit weirded out by the fact that Cu had appeared owing to her experience of the man in the singularity, but she was nonetheless happy to gain a powerful Servant.

She was also very happy with Archer as well considering how strong of a servant he is. Though Felix is quite certain that she will probably lose her mind when she sees him using swords as projectiles.

The last was Mata Hari, an assassin class servant that she had managed to summon. Olga wasn't too thrilled by her as she was quite weak by Servant standards. But she decided to not give it much thought since she already has three other powerful servants with her.

"So, the me you met in the singularity was a Caster?" Cu asked the two Masters.

"Yeah. You were wearing mage type clothes and have a staff and used runes." Felix said to him with a nod.

"Man, that would have been boring. Glad I'm still Lancer." Cu said as he sighed to himself.

"Why are you acting like that? He was pretty powerful if you ask me." Olga asked him a bit confused.

"Well young lady, I may be a druid, but first and foremost I am a warrior. I like using my spear to fight my enemies than rely on runes." Cu said to her as he smiled at her.

"Right." Olga said as she looked at him.

"In any case, the fact of the matter is that human history is at stake and now it's our duty to make sure that it continues to exist." Archer said as he looked at them.

"Haha! Indeed. I had initially wanted to continue my conquest however, I believe it is more important to protect our history." Iskander said with a booming voice.

"You are quite loud King of Conquerors. I would've thought that a man of your station would have better discipline." Artoria Alter said to him in a cold tone.

"Well, I like people to know my presence wherever I go. Though you do not have to worry Artoria, I do not plan of lazing around during this mission of ours." Iskander said to her with a smile as he gained a serious face.

"If that is the case then I have no problems with it." Artoria said as she sat straight.

"Well, I am not as strong as all of you so I don't think I can be of much help. But if you need espionage and distractions then I can do that since I am quite good at it." Mata Hari said to them with a smile.

"We would appreciate that miss Mata Hari. Considering how dangerous and unpredictable the singularities can be, it would be a blessing to have a wide variety of abilities." Mash said to her with a smile and a nod.

"I agree. Currently, Chaldea has 10 Servants when Mash and Da Vinci are also considered. Though Da Vinci will be staying in Chaldea to offer technical support since her genius will be needed to make sure that the equipments work correctly." Felix said to them as he remembered the scientist.

"While she is a good Servant, it is much more advantageous to have her in the command centre as her mind is pretty brilliant, something which we will need when we have to improvise things." Roman said as he gave his input.

"Having a reliable supporter is also very improvement for the success of any mission. And she has already shown her capabilities so we can rest assured about that." Medea said to them seriously.

"So, Dr Roman, is there any news about the new singularity. It would be beneficial to know when we will be needed." Medusa said to the man.

At her question the people looked at the doctor who grew a bit nervous from their stares. But he calmed himself down and then looked at them calmly.

"Currently we are trying to find the correct location of the singularity. Since it is very important that we send you to the right singularity we have to triple and quadruple check the coordinates and data to make sure that it is correct. So, it might take a bit of time." Roman said to them with a smile.

"I see. We can use that time to get familiar with our servants and come up with tactics." Olga said with a nod as she heard him.

"An astute observation, tactics and strategies are important if one wants to conquer the battlefield. And with the survival of human history at stake, the importance of creating an effective strategy is much higher." Iskander said with a grin on his face.

As a commander who had conquered a lot of lands he knew that strategies are also needed for a win. Sure, having a loyal army is needed but if he doesn't know how to effectively use the army then it's no use.

"In any case, if you haven't located the singularity yet then I will go and train now." Medusa Alter said as she stood up gathering the attention of the Servants.

She then got out of the bench and walked to Felix as he looked at her. But then she grabbed him and lifted him off the bench causing him and the others to be surprised.

"What are you doing?" Artoria Alter asked her with narrowed eyes.

"Training. And Master is coming with me." Medusa Alter said to her as she walked away.

"Uh, could you at least let me walk?" Felix asked her awkwardly.

"No." Medusa Alter said to him as she walked to the door.

The group watched this happen for a few seconds as they exited the cafeteria. No sooner than they did Mash and Olga snapped out of it and got out of the bench before running towards the door and exiting the cafeteria. Medusa, Medea and Artoria Alter weren't far behind as they followed the master and demi-servant out of the cafeteria as the rest watched them go.

"Well, that was quite interesting." Mata Hari said as she looked at the door.

"Hahahaha! It looks like my Master is quite the ladies man!" Iskander laughed with a smile on his face.

"Hmm, I guess you are right. That white haired girl and lilac haired girl were sitting on either side. The other female servants also seen to like him, well maybe not Medusa Alter and Artoria Alter since they just seem professional." Cu said as he whistled at the quick response of the women.

"Whatever it may be, as long as they work together it will be fine for us. Right now our thoughts should be on how to effectively use the time we have here before going to a singularity." Archer said with a serious face and tone.

"Well, we are doing the best we can so you could increase your teamwork while in Chaldea." Roman said to them with a thoughtful look.

"Hmm, I agree. It will be beneficial to learn about the abilities of my allies before formulating plans and strategies." Iskander said with a nod.

'Well, the only thing we can do is prepare and hope for the best.' Archer thought to himself as he sighed.

Meanwhile Medusa Alter had reached the simulation room after being guided by Felix as they both entered it followed by the other girls. Medusa Alter took notice of them as she looked at them before she told him to activate the simulation without enemies which he did.

'What am I? A cat?' Felix thought to himself as he was still hanging.

The simulation started as it was a plain as she walked inside with him still in her grasp. The others looked at eachother when they saw it before they walked in as well. Medusa Alter then placed Felix on the ground as he then corrected his clothes before looking at her.

"Why did you bring me here?" Felix asked her.

"I want to fight you." Medusa Alter simply said to him.

"Excuse me?" Felix said surprised alongside the rest of the others.

"I had been told by Saber that you had managed to keep up with her in the singularity and I want to test you." Medusa Alter said to him seriously.

Felix looked at Olga and Mash when he heard that and the rest of the girls before he looked at Medusa Alter.

"I guess I can do that. But don't use your eyes." Felix said to her with a nod.

"Don't worry Master. She can wear this extra pair of glasses to stop her mystic eyes." Medusa said as she gave her Alter a pair of the same glasses.

Medusa Alter took the glasses and looked at it before she put them on. She could feel that it had an effect on her before she turned to look at her Master.

"There, now I am not able to use them." Medusa Alter said with a nod.

"Alright then." Felix said as he scratched his head.

"Medea, can you make me a sword?" Felix asked the Magus as he looked at her.

"Well, it won't be a problem if it's a simple sword." Medea said with a nod.

She then used her magecraft and made a simple Greek style sword which she handed to Felix. He looked at it and felt it's weight before he nodded to himself as he held it in his right hand.

"Thanks." Felix said to her with a smile.

"It is nothing Master." Medea said to him with a small smile.

Felix nodded to her before he walked and stood a few feet away from Medusa Alter. He remembered how Artoria stood as he got into a stance for the fight. Medusa Alter also got ready as Felix narrowed his eyes as the two watched each other.

During this time Mata Hari also came into the room and saw the group watching the two as she stood to the side to watch. The Servants and Mash noticed her but they didn't say anything and focused on the two fighters.

It was silent for a few moments, but then Medusa Alter attacked using her chain as Felix immediately ran after reinforcing himself as he dodged them. He then took out his gun on his left hand and shot Gandr at her which surprised the servant as she blocked them using her hair which she turned into chains.

He used this chance to close the distance as he reinforced his sword and started to attack her with one hand as she was using her scythe to retaliate. Felix had also reinforced his eyes which allowed him to follow her movements as he blocked and attacked using his sword. He then jumped back and shot using his gun as it shot Gandr at her.

She blocked the shots as he charged forward and locked blades with her as he reinforced himself and then he shot Gandr right on her stomach which caused her to wince from the consecutive attacks. Followed by a knee to her stomach which caused her to stagger back as he aimed the gun at her face.

Though she immediately dodged it as she attacked using her chains as he jumped and ran from them as he kept on shooting her before he focused back on running. He increased the speed and ran towards her as she attacked him again as he dodged the chains.

He reached her and slashed at her with his blade as she blocked it using her scythe. He then pushed himself forward forcing her to put more force into her feet as he grit his teeth. Then he put his gun on her stomach in a split second as she looked down.

He had been charging his mana into the gun for the Gandr and now he shot the accumulated attack right onto her stomach. The force from the attack caused the two to be pushed back as they skid on the ground as Medusa Alter looked at him.

Only for him to kick her on her face and sending her back before he grabbed her chains and pulled her towards him. He reinforced his right hand and punched her square on her face and smashed her on the ground head first. He then pointed his blade at her neck as he looked at her as Medusa Alter looked at him back before he pointed his gun at her head.

"So, do you surrender?" Felix asked her as he pointed the sword at her neck and his gun at her head.

Medusa Alter looked at him before she let go of her scythe as it fell on the ground. Felix seeing it removed the weapons from her and stood up and looked at her. He put away his gun and gave his hand as she looked at it.

Medusa Alter then grabbed his hand as he pulled her up as she stood at her full height and looked at him.

"So, how was it?" Felix asked her curiously.

"It was a fine demonstration. You are very strong for a Master." Medusa Alter said to him seriously.

"Thanks." Felix said with a smile when he heard that.

'Still, I don't know if I can actually survive a full on life or death battle so I have to train hard. Luckily, Archer is here.' Felix thought to himself as he looked at his opponent.

He then looked at him audience and saw them giving him approving looks as Mash, Olga, Medusa, Mata Hari were smiling at him. Artoria Alter nodded to him while Medea gave a small smile.

"So, how was the fight?" Felix asked them curiously.

"It was good senpai." Mash said to him with a smile.

"I guess it wasnt that bad." Olga said with a small smile.

"You fought against her with great skill Master." Medusa said to him with a smile.

"Your unorthodox fighting style is also very helpful in fighting against older servants. All in all, it was a good fight." Medea said as she gave a small smile.

"It was a great fight Master. I don't think I would be able to defeat you if we fought each other." Mata Hari said to him with a smile.

"It is an acceptable way of combat that covers both short and medium range. Adequate enough for combat for a short while." Artoria Alter said to him with a nod.

"I would suggest polishing your skills on magecraft, swordfighting, guns and hand to hand combat to protect yourself Master."

"Well, thanks for the input." Felix said with a smile to all of them.

'I still have a long way to go.' Felix thought to himself as he went through their words in his mind.
