Somewhere Far, Far Away
A thousand miles north from Ord, in the Desert Kingdom of Xaria, an interesting battle between two mages took place. Zahr 'the wind blade' made the desert sky wet while the Dark Cloak launched a ton of fireballs, warming the place up. A clash of high level mages usually cause a lot of damage. Widespread destruction, even. Thanks to Dark Cloak, the desert turned into a hellish landscape, with only Zahr's wind spells to the rescue. Both had a large amount of mana, and the orange aura cloaking them, giving a divine sight.
"I'LL KILL YOU, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU WOMAN. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!"
"Ah, Zahr what did I do to you? Whatever. It seems my time here is wasted. I'll leave now. Apophis!"
"Wha-"
On that day, Zahr, the desert's finest and the southern part of Xaria was annihilated in milliseconds, and the mage who instigated it is nowhere to be found.

It was autumn. The residents of Ord were busy with preparations for the fall festival. shopkeepers dishing out some sweet deals, the Empire soldiers on guard, the Red light division on full force and some drunk adventurers having the best times of their life. A gentle breeze blew over the city as if to help the people relax. A very drunk Kar tugging on Veil's arm like a 3 year old was trying to drag him to the adventurer's guild. However her efforts went futile as Veil lifted her princess-style and walked to the guild.
"Dwwooooppp me veyllu i wannnnaaa shwwweeeeppp"
"Wait for a minute, will you?
Upon entering the guild, the receptionist girl was arguing with a burly middle aged man.
"C'mon Alf can't you throw in some extra gold?"
"You know I can't, sir"
"You shittin' me?"
"You agreed to the pay before the mission. Leave please"
"Whatever"
The guy glared at Veil and slammed the door at his exit. "So, Alf?"
"How can I help you, Mr.Veil?"
"First, somehow move this poor sod to her room". He threw Kar onto a sofa, her groaning loudly in her sleep. "So, you got me a teacher yet?"
"Yeah. Name's Sans Morgan. Guy's a Jack-of-all-trades mage. You'll find him in the Guild tavern after a hour. Enjoy the evening, Sir" . Alf the receptionist gave a tired smile and shooed me away for some reason.
He headed into the balcony, enjoying the evening sky. The damage from the siege was still present, although most of them were repaired. The adventurer guild building stood on a hill, offering a Bird's eye view of the beautiful city it belonged to. The skyline was adorned with white churches, some watchtowers, the sun setting on the horizon, the large ships on the harbour, and the great forest in the distance. And then, the ground shook. it was momentary, but there was a shockwave and the heavens turned black. For a moment, he saw something pass. For a moment, Veil was able to see the monstrous aura. It had deep Crimson eyes, looking down upon the earth. Then it passed, as fast as it appeared. The skies went back to normal, and nobody had the slightest idea of what just happened. He cleaned himself up and ran like his life depended on it to the direction the Shockwave came from. Blue sparks enveloped him as he ran.
"What on earth happened here?"
All he saw was a crater lake on a large desert.
"Daniel come in"
He called using the guild card
"The fuck Veil it's seven in the evening"
"the desert around a thousand miles from Ord it's Xaria, right?"
"great you studied now what"
"I followed the Shockwave and I see a crater lake and nothing breathing here except me"
"When did you even go to Xaria I just saw you this evening"
"Wanted to find the source of the tremor and I was able to find the place of origin"
"Southern Xaria is gone then?"
"Correct, Daniel"
"I need a report as soon as you head back".
He clicked a few pictures of the place, Input the geomarker in the pics, picked up the brutally hurt man floating in the lake and ran back to Ord.

That's what my drunk ass was able to say after a shit hangover. Veil had to bring me in and wait, how did he bring me in?
"KARRRRR GET YO PUNK ASS OUT AND MEET DANIEL" a guy told me politely and left to do his job.
"Seems like Veil found something about yesterday's Shockwave"
"Wwhhaat Shockwave Daniel?"
(She yawned as she asked the guild master)
"For once Kar stop drinking"
"Alright get to the point"
"After the Shockwave yesterday evening, Veil scoped out the origin of the tremor. It was as if a big ass asteroid was slammed on Xaria and wiped the southern part of the face of this planet. It seems he was able to rescue a survivor. His name is Zahr, the captain of Southern sand guards".
