Chapter 5 - The Five Constant Factors

Sarah was amazed at what she made. How did she become so good at cooking, she did what she usually does but still, it was still amazing how good it was. She looked at Jake enjoying his meal happily, she smiled and continue eating.

Jake was enjoying the soup his mum cooked. He filled his stomach.

"Mum this food is so delicious, you should think of it as a career" Jake says while enjoying his food.

"There is more if you want to eat," said mum.

"No, I am good we can eat it later or give it to the neighbours who gave us the milk," Jake said happily.

Jake left the table and he went to his room, then he entered the farming zone to think of what to do from now on.

In the art of war book, Sun Tzu said: the art of war is governed by five constant factors, to be taken into account in one's deliberations, when seeking to determine the conditions obtaining in the field.

There are: (1)The Moral Law; (2)Haven; (3)Earth;(4) The Commander; (5)Method and Discipline

So I need to make a plan of what to do from here on. The food that my mum made yesterday was disgusting but today food was good because of the farm zone plants and the water from the fountain.

While I was thinking I found a name in my memory. His name is Mike, 15 years old me and him, we grow up together but we drifted apart because I went and hung out with some bad people. His dream to be a merchant, but he was the son of a farmer so he has to farm but looking at the farms now I think he works as carrying stuff for someone I think.

Jake left the farming zone, then his house and he was heading to find Mike. Mike parents live near us.

This is my first time going outside the house. The village has a lot of farms that like uncle McDonald farm (if you know what I mean)

The space between the houses are not big but it takes 10 min to go from one house to another. If you have a wagon you can travel faster but you need money to buy it expensive.

I was heading to Mike's house, I knocked on the door and a small girl opens the door for me. She is Mike sister her name is Anna, she is 9 years old.

" Hey, Jake, what do you want? Are you here to make fun of my brother" Anna said with an angry face.

Jake used to make fun of him about how stupid was his dream and he and his friend always bully and hit him when they are bored.

"No am here to look for Mike I came to apologize to him," Jake said with an honest look so he can just pass her.

" Mike is sleeping in you can enter and speak to him inside," she said with unwelcome tone.

Jake entered the house any way he needs Mike to work for him so he walks to Mike room.

Mike was lying there tired, he was injured in his left arm and right leg, it seems he was carrying something heavy and fell.

"Mike how are you doing, I hope I didn't disturb you. I came here to make an apology to you, am sorry I hurt you physically and mentally. I have been in a dark place but I guess I wake up from that place and I need to come an say it to you hoping that you will forgive me." Jake said we his down.

Mike was taking back, they used to be best friends but something happens and changed his personality, he became mean and I hated him to the bone, but now he came and apologize his feelings went away.

You need to know best friends know everything about each other, and if they drift apart they will come back together. That why you have a lot of friends but only one best friend.

Mike looked and me and said" well I hope you come back from the shit zone you were in. Honestly, I lost hope that you will not come back but today finally I can see my best friend eyes again" he stand up while limping and went to help him and he hugged me. MAN, I AM THE WORST FRIEND EVER.

" so why did you come here, what do you need?!" Mike looked at me like an open book he knows that I need something.

" well I need to talk to you alone so Anna can you leave us alone please," said Jake looking at Anna

Anna looked angry at me and left the room unwilling, now that I see it isn't she a cute loli

After she left the room was quiet and I looked at Mike, he was waiting for me to speak with interest.

" Listen, man, I will go start to the point, the farms in our village became hard that no one can farm them, the animals are dead as well and we have no other way to make money, you tried being a carry man for a while and see what happen to you. I have an idea and I need you to work with me, I know that your dream is to be a merchant are you still want to follow it ?" I smiled at Mike giving him some pressure looks.

Mike look at me from up to down and he kept staring at my eyes. He was quiet for a while and he said he is down with me. He didn't ask what we are going to do, what business it is nothing he just agreed

Jake looked into Mike's eyes, no need for more talk no need for more words they just trust each other.

" Mike do you have a horse to carry our products" Jake smiles at Mike.

Now Jake found the first person who can be the cover for his face
