Chapter 6: Venus forest part II

After running for quite some distance, they finally escape from the chase of the terrifying plant which keeps looking for them.

"Gosh, I almost become a human pancake." Asher wipes off his sweat followed by a long sigh.

"Human pancake?" Chronos raised his eyebrows. "Quite an interesting term." Chronos laughed at that remark. "Damn! What just happened." Chronos shakes his head. "The plant instantly became vicious and I don't understand at all."

"There was someone who used the fire skill to incite chaos there and takes the items they needed sneakily." Asher stroked his chin. "However, I can't see his face."

"Damn! What a sneaky player!"

Fortunately, the plant drops the required items of 2x Flower nectar and 100 exp, so all they have to do is look for the remaining 2 items. A few meters ahead of them, there is a wooden bridge that looks quite fragile and connects to the other side of the place.

They both decide to walk over the bridge to another side as they can feel the breeze around the bridge thanks to the game's highly advanced system.

"Chronos, I got a strange message before playing this game." Bradley walked while continuing to hold the bridge railing

"What do you mean by that?" Chronos turned his face away and a frown is visible on his face.

Asher told him that someone had sent him a strange message and the message only said the 8th-floor ark tower and a strange password.

"The Ark Tower?" Chronos rolled his eyes upwards. "Wait I'm familiar with that name, but where the hell is it located?" Chronos stomps his foot repeatedly.

Asher senses the trembling of Chronos' feet which makes the fragile bridge sway, making the pulse on Asher's face tighten.

"Chronos, I think we can talk about it later." Asher pushed Chronos quickly over the swaying bridge. "Your footsteps can make us fall into the abyss."

The corners of Chronos' lips lifted horizontally because he knows Asher doesn't like heights. After walking for a while, they finally reached the end of the bridge. Several big butterflies flash quickly in front of them and then Chronos sees a small noticeboard nearby and started reading it

Forest of Venus (part 2/2):

This is the end of the forest of Venus where there are many large butterflies and some other creatures. There is a small river here and a small cave leading out of the Venus forest

Items drop: Chitin, sturdy stem

"Hey, I feel like we've almost collected all the materials we need, Chronos." Asher pats Chronos on the shoulder. "Come on, just a little more!"

They both enter the forest and suddenly they are attacked by a creature that looks like a butterfly. Chronos immediately deployed his knife and tries to kill the creature, however, the creature can dodge it easily. The creature then released some kind of green liquid toward Chronos. Fortunately, Chronos dodges but gets a splash of the strange liquid.

"Argh!" Chronos grabs his left shoulder as the liquid slowly seeps into his skin.

"Cure!" Asher is trying to refill Chronos' blood but it's not working and even getting worse. Chronos' blood meter is getting low.

Chronos lies on the ground and whimpers in pain and Asher soon realized the liquid that is released by the creature turns out poisonous.

'You give the Antidote to Chronos'

"Cure!"

Chronos' wound slowly shrinks and his blood stops flowing.

"That damn butterfly releases venom." Chronos gritted his teeth in annoyance. "At this rate, I'll use my abilities."

Chronos runs quickly towards the butterfly and used his dash ability, but the butterfly continues to release more venom liquid from its mouth until it becomes difficult for Chronos to avoid it.

"Die!" Chronos' slash finally successfully cut off one of the butterfly's wings until it falls. "Ash, use your bomb!"

Asher immediately throws his bomb item and burns the butterfly to death.

'500 exp earned'

'You have obtained 100 gold coins, 3x flower nectar, 2x Chitin'

"Ash, we've almost found everything." Chronos sighs. "Now we just need to find this item."

Not long after, a strange monster appears from behind the bushes and looks like a plant chasing them, but it has a wide mouth like a pouch. The monster then releases a toxic liquid and begins to spray it in all directions.

"Look out!" Asher pushed Chronos who almost got hit by the poison for the second time.

"Damn it! We need to kill this thing quickly!" Chronos stands up and immediately runs toward the monster quickly.

'Slash!"

The sound of Chronos' knife slashing cut the creature's body in half and a large amount of poison leaks out on the ground.

'500 exp earned'

'You have obtained 90 gold coins, 3x sturdy stem, 2x Chitin'

"Ash, we should get out of this place and return to Altaria village."

"Chronos, but that seems impossible." Asher quickly shakes his head. "If we go back, that horrible plant will kill us."

"Ash, we can use my dash skill and item bomb, right?"

"I guess that's impossible since there are so many of them. We'll have to find another route."

Chronos suddenly snaps his fingers remembering an inscription on the board earlier which says there is a cave near the river that leads to an exit from this place.

"Ash, how about we check out that cave?" Chronos raised his eyebrows. "There is another exit inside the cave, right?"

"Yes, it's written on the board" Asher nods his head. "Well, that might be a good idea."

They decide to walk further and search for the whereabouts of the river in question. After walking for a while, suddenly the sound of water gurgling is briefly heard.

"Ash, you heard that right?" Chronos stops walking and tries to hear more clearly.

They walk towards the sound, but the place turns out to be full of poisonous butterflies which has been chasing them.

"Gosh, how can we avoid those things?" Asher scratched his head and occasionally looks around. "My item bomb isn't enough to kill all of those creatures."

"My dash skill is also only able to kill 2 or 3 of those butterflies." Chronos let out a long breath. "Damn it! What should we do?"
