Chapter 20: Survive

Asher quickly moves his eyeballs and finds that the elf chief is lying on top of one of the tree roots in the swamp which is bulging above the water surface a few meters away from their current position.

"Oh my! We must rescue the fairy chief immediately!" Persea frantically pulled her blue hair."

'Time remaining 15:55'

Chronos who holds the steering wheel of the ship immediately turns the ship towards the fairy elders, trying to rescue the fairy chief quickly.

"Ash, look!" Chronos saw several seaworm creatures slowly rising toward the unconscious elf chief. "Damn it! We have to hurry!"

Asher's face instantly become tense, his heartbeat racing until it makes his mind unable to think clearly and immediately pulls out his bomb item without a second thought.

"Ash, don't!" Persea immediately pushed Asher quickly causing the bomb to crash into the water's surface and producing a loud explosion. "Hey! You can kill a fairy chief!" Persea's face instantly turned red.

"Oh my! I forget about that." Asher tapped his forehead repeatedly. "Okay, so now we have to find another way."

"Hey, I can use my dash ability and bring the elf head back to the ship." Chronos snapped his fingers while looking around. "Persea, you take control of this ship."

"Huh? Wait a minute... but ...."

"All right, I'll cover you from behind Chronos."

Asher cast his laser beam and tries to knock down some of the sea worms which start to appear from the surface. Chronos quickly uses his dash skill and rushes over quickly, cutting down the nearby sea worms and then carrying the elders back into the ship.

'Time remaining 14:07'

Asher and Persea try to protect the ship from the seaworms which are getting more and more numerous and sadly Asher has run out of his bomb items.

"Persea, can you still use your abilities?" Asher asked while continuously firing his laser beam at the seaworms coming closer to him.

"No, I'm out of energy and can't cast spells anymore." Persea shook her head quickly.

"Hey, guys look!" Chronos pointed towards the front. "There's a mainland in sight!"

Chronos swiftly directs the wooden ship, but unfortunately, the ship's speed isn't fast enough to reach the surface.

"We need something to increase the speed of this ship!" Chronos yelled and continued to look around. "Ah! Sh**!"

Asher quickly racks his brain, trying to figure out how to get out of this swamp as quickly as possible and suddenly an idea crossed his mind.

"Chronos, do you still have your bomb item?"

Chronos takes out his bomb item and gives it to Asher. "Ash, this is all I have."

'Chronos gives you 2x bombs'

"Wait, what are you going to do with that ?" Chronos furrowed his brow curiously.

"You'll see." Asher ran towards the edge of the ship and threw the bomb into the water.

"Gosh, Ash are you crazy! Don't do that!"

Chronos realizes Ahser's action and immediately loose of the ship's wheel then runs towards Asher, but the explosion of the bomb instantly makes the ship accelerate and shakes the whole ship violently.

"Holy Sh**!" Chronos immediately hugged the ship's wheel tightly together with Persea.

"Hold on tight, guys!" Asher held the ship's mast nearby very tightly.

"Oh, God! Oh my!" Chronos' face immediately paled. "We're going to die!"

Chronos and Persea continued to hold tight to the ship's wheel, while Asher protected the elf chief by gripping the ship's mast nearby.

'Time remaining 12:32'

Finally, they all make it to the surface safely even though the front of the wooden ships crashed to the ground.

"Asher, you almost killed us all!" Persea furrowed her brows with her cheeks becomes red. "Oh, my goodness, I can feel my stomach churning."

Chronos walks over to Asher and pats him on the shoulder repeatedly. "Ash, you know what, that was crazy." Chronos patted Asher's shoulder repeatedly. " But, I'm very excited about your way of thinking."

" Okay, stop talking because we're running out of time." Asher started to run.

They quickly accelerate their footsteps through the dense forest and Persea tells them the Malana village is right in front of them.

"Come on, we're almost there." Persea encouraged Asher and Chronos. "Hurry up!"

But suddenly, in front of them, the silhouette of a strange creature is seen holding a small knife.

"Ah, Dammit! We'll have to fight them." Chronos run over and immediately attacked the creature quickly.

"Cling! Cling!"

However, Chronos' every attack is successfully blocked by the creature. Asher then unleashes his ability, but its movement is fast enough to dodge Asher's attacks with ease.

"Damn it! I have to ...."

Suddenly, the green-colored creature jumps out of the bushes and attacks Asher so fast which makes Asher's blood slowly decreases.

"Pray!"Asher cast his new skill and their blood instantly increases by a few points.

The creature suddenly disappears in front of them, then the atmosphere instantly becomes silent for the moment.

"Where is that thing?" Asher squinted his eyes and keeps a tight grip on his wand. "I can't see it at all."

"Ash, be careful the goblin has a pretty fast speed so you have to keep an eye on their movements." Chronos' eyeballs looked around and spotted the goblin. "There you are, you a damn thing!"

Chronos immediately uses his dash skill, dashes quickly, and manages to injure the goblin. Asher, who sees the figure of the creature that is trying to attack him, immediately launches his laser light skill and loads the goblin on the ground.

"Chronos, now!"

"Eat this monster!" Chronos immediately ran at high speed and cut down the creature quickly.

'500 exp earned'

'You have obtained 400 gold coins! You have obtained a goblin hat 1x'

"06:55 remaining"

" My goodness Chronos, we only have 5 minutes left!" Asher shook his head repeatedly. "We must hurry!"

They fasten their pace until they reach the destination, but Asher furrows his brow because there are only a few large tree trunks in front of him.

"Persea, you're not lying are you?" Asher raised his eyebrows. "We only have five minutes left but why are you leading us to a dead end?"

"Dead end? What do you mean?" Persea knitted her brows. "Look up above you."

Asher slowly raises his head and instantly looks in astonishment at what's above him.
