CHAPTER 6- TYLER

It took Akira a short amount of time for her to reach the café. As soon as she had arrived, she rushed inside and paused in her tracks to inhale in the different aromas that filled the atmosphere of the café. She immediately spotted Carin and rushed to the table she was sitted at. "I'm hungry", She groaned as she hastily slid into the booth. "Here, have a toast", Carin extended her hands bringing the half eaten toast to Akira's lips. Without hesitation Akira opened her mouth accepting the tasty toast into her mouth. She licked her lips as she chewed in delight. "Waiter!", Carin called out to the waiter that stood nearby, she gestured with her hands for him to attend to them. "Good day, how may I help you?", the waiter politely asked handing the menu to them. Akira's tummy grumbled upon looking at the food selections. "This tank needs to be filled", She commented tapping her stomach "I would like to try out your Tuesday special". She handed back the menu after she had made her choice. "Beef stew for me", Carin also made her choice. The waiter left, taking with him the two menu and the leftover plates used by Carin. Akira gave her a suspicious stare, "I assume you are paying for your meals", she stated. Carin diverted her face from Akira hiding her guilty look. "Ooh! Look at those sexy Vampires", she gasped. "Don't you try changing the subject", Akira stated clicking her fingers at Carin's face to get her attention. Carin swatted Akira's hands off her face, not sparing Akira a glance as she was more interested in gawking at the hot batch of boys that just entered the café. "Just look behind you, I'm serious". With that statement Carin stretched her arms to Akira and turned her head to face backwards, the direction she too was looking at. "Now what's so special about…", Akira gaped as she was about finishing her statement. She had just spotted the annoying boy she met at her class, this afternoon amongst the group of boys that entered the café. She turned her head quickly from awkward position it was back to facing Carin. Carin laughed at Akira's reaction, she had mistaken Akira's reaction to be a confirmation to her previous statement of the Vampires being sexy. "See I told you", She stated proudly with a grin on her face "My keen sight can spot beauty once I sense the smell of beauty" Akira cringed at the expression Carin had on her face. "Would you please act normal for once and stop staring at them already", she stated blocking her friend's view with her jacket. "But they are just so hot", she sighed dreamily, fixing her elbows on the table and supporting her cheeks with her palm. "You need medical help, because clearly either your eyes or brain aren't functioning properly", Akira commented. Carin wagged her tongue at her, "And so do you". Before Akira could reply, the waiter interrupted placing the meals they had ordered in front of them. Akira's eyes grew wide in delight and her stomach growled in anticipation. She was so distracted by the mouthwatering foods that she forgot all about the conversation she was in and quickly dug into the meal. "You see that hot one there, the tallest among all of them, that's Tyler, their captain", Carin continued her talks. Akira nodded her head not in the mood to interrupt her meal to look at the direction Carin was pointing at. "You silly child, look,". Carin wasted no time in grabbing Akira's stuffed face and rotating it despite her protest, to the direction of her choice. "That's Tyler", she stated once more. Akira groaned as she looked around for the Tyler Carin mentioned. She was looking for the tallest among the boys, just then she realized something and began coughing. She was choking upon realization. The annoying boy was Tyler, the Vampire football captain. She greedily gulped down the water handed to her by Carin. "That's Tyler?", She asked for confirmation. "Yeah", Carin answered studying Akira's shocked demeanor. "You know him?", she asked. Akira shook her head "Not really, I just happened to have a class with him" Carin gasped loudly, "You're lucky! "If this is your idea of luck, I fear what your idea of bad luck is", Akira rolled her eyes and continued her meal. "I'm serious, I have been in this school and have never had a single class with him, they are a lot of people with the same to say", Carin stated defending her claims. "I don't see that as a big deal, I finished high school and don't even remember up to ten people even after six years", Akira countered her statement still enjoying her meal. Carin rolled her eyes. "But did you talk to him? How was his voice like? Did you happen to hold his hands!?", Carin began pestering Akira with questions. Akira mentally lamented ignoring her. "Tell me please", Carin whined continuing her disturbance. Akira sighed before answering, "Yes, we spoke. I found him annoying to listen to and No, I didn't touch his hands" "But…" "Aren't you eating already? Didn't you call me out here to eat?". Akira asked interfering with Carin's reply. "Ooh! Yeah about that", Carin exclaimed immediately remembering what she needed Akira's help for. She had been distracted that she forgot the main reason she called Akira. "I need your help in picking a gift for Romeo", she stated. "It's his birthday?", Akira asked taking a sip from her smoothie. "No, for our anniversary", Carin replied lazily playing with her meal. Akira smiled, "That's nice, and sure I would love to assist you with that". Carin was glad Akira agreed to help her. In silence they both spent the next passing minutes to finish up their meals. "I'm so full", Carin belched rubbing her tummy. Akira nodded her head in agreement, she also had just finished her meal and had enjoyed every bit of it. She got up to go pay the bills, just then she mistaken bumped into someone while slipping out of the booth. They both fell down with a crash. "Ouch", Akira rubbed her bum. She was about getting up when a hand got extended to her. Slowly she looked up to see who it was only to find the grinning face of Tyler.
