Spencer Reid x Insecure!Reader

Reid watched as you interviewed a survivor of the robbery homicide. One person at been killed at a gas station after a couple of ex-cons had held the place up and had shot the manager. The manager was alive and recovering in the hospital. Reid heard how on occasion you would stumble over some words or your voice would tighten or shake. He had no idea why, you were normally alright with questioning people. Your compassion helped with that, but you were not so good with talking to people of authority. You had secrets like everyone else. You didn't know if Reid would stay as your friend after these secrets were revealed.

After the team had found out the secret that you had been holding onto they had stayed behind you. Reid watched as you smiled hesitantly at the newcomers to the team, you were never very good with new people after a while you would warm up to them. After a few cases you had warmed up to Luke and Matt. Reid watched as you were reading on the plane ride back he knew that he would follow you anywhere as you had done the same with him several years. You had reminded him who he was and how he had everyone's support. You had the same support, but you hadn't been comfortable leaning on them for help. Reid hugged you gently, "We're always behind you, Y/N. Always."

"Thank you, Spencer."

Reid watched as you shot the guy that was holding a gun to JJ's head. He had seen you shoot other unsubs before, he hated that each shot had taken a piece of your soul. Reid knew that he would follow you and this team anywhere. You smiled at Reid as the team flew back home and you returned to staring out the window. He inhaled lightly, but as he watched you, he noticed that you were twisting your hands like you always did when you talked to those you weren't comfortable with.

Reid watched as you walked down the aisle towards him, your ivory gown rustling as you walked. You fiddled with the ribbon around the flowers. You nibbled the inside of your lips occasionally as the ceremony took place, you weren't very comfortable with being the centre even on your big day. Reid smiled at you, he loved you. He loved you, despite your insecurities, despite how live always seemed to attack the team one way or the other. He fingered the fabric of your gown between his fingers, he grinned down at you as Morgan gave his best man speech.

You knew that Reid...Spencer knew about your insecurities and the 'dark side' you had, but he didn't care. He loved you, he would love you through anything and everything.
