Jameson 'Jamie' Reagan x Cop!Friend!Reader

You were organising your suitcase, you were joining Jamie on a road trip for one of his old friend's weddings. You and Jamie were both cops but had different partners, the four of you were all good friends outside of work. "Are you ready, Y/N?" Jamie yelled from his bedroom. "Yep." He entered the room, lugging his suitcase. "I was ready way before you Reagan. A is for organization after all."

"According to WHAT alphabet?" He asked huffing. You shrugged, grinning. "Ready for a long road trip?" You asked him, "Yes, I just have to get the map from dad's first." You nodded, heading to the car with the suitcases as Jamie locked up your shared flat. As you drove to his father's place, you started to sort the music collection that you had grabbed for the trip. "Want to come say hi, to my family?" Jamie asked as he pulled up to the curb. "Do I want to see my favourite Reagan? Um yeah." You gave the 'yeah' a few extra syllables. Jamie appeared offended that he wasn't your favourite. Henry answered the door after Jamie had knocked. "Ah, Jamie, Y/N, come in."

"Hello, my favourite Reagan." You answered, Jamie rolled his eyes at the playful tone. Henry chuckled as Frank walked in. "Hey dad." Jamie greeted his father. "Hey, Frank." "

Hello you two. I have the map for you right here."

"How did you lose yours in the first place anyway, Jamie?" Henry asked, holding out the map. Jamie sent a look in your direction as you schooled your face to look as innocent as possible. "Well SOMEONE thought it would be a good idea to throw our map off a bridge." Jamie answered taking the map, "It was on FIRE!" You quickly defended yourself. The trio of Reagans all laughed at the outraged tone you used. "Anyway, it was Jamie's fault it caught fire." Jamie gapped as he struggled for an excuse or a lie. "Thank you for the map." Jamie spoke quickly, moving towards the door holding it open for you. "Your welcome." Frank told you with a heart-warming smile. You headed out to the car after hugging Henry goodbye to let Jamie say his own goodbyes. "You should tell her you love her." Henry told his grandson, "Pops, I don't..." He trailed off as his father interrupted. "Oh, yes, you do. You look at her the same way, Danny looks at Linda, and Dad looked at mom, and the same way I looked at your mother." Jamie blushed but nodded, heading towards you.

He saw you leaning against the car and heard the door shut behind him, but he knew that they were watching from the living room. You were engrossed with your phone. "Oh no." You moaned.

"What is it? What happened? Who died?" He asked worried, "I think I just felt an emotion." He raised an eyebrow and muttered "You have GOT to be kidding me." You smiled at him, "Just kidding, I just found out the bridesmaids have the same colour dress as the one I bought with me."

"Do you want to rush home and get another?" He asked as you both got in the car. "No, but thanks, I packed a couple extra if something like this happened, I am smart you know."

"Yeah, I know how smart you are." Jamie told you as you buckled up and started to fiddle with the music. "Did you just...agree with me?" Your hand hovered over the volume dial. "Oh, I wish I could take..." He sighed. "Nope! You said it! No take backs!" You crowed triumphantly, Jamie shook his head at you and chuckled before leaning over the seats and kissing you gently. You hummed as you broke apart. "Took you long enough, Reagan." He cupped your head in his hands winding your hair through his fingers, and laughed softly before kissing you again, "What do you think my dad and pops are doing now, considering they are probably watching?"

"Cracking the champagne." He smiled at you, that award winning smile of his at you. "Good." He muttered as he brushed his nose against your cheekbone and tilted his head to kiss you deeply.
