Night Person

It has been five years since Dante and my mother have started teaching me and I have managed to unlock two more perks. I managed to unlock the first tier of the Medic perk after studying anatomy with my mom.

You have received the perk (Medic: Rank 1)

After unlocking Medic I earned an additional 100 Exp which boosted me up to level 2. While leveling up I felt a strange tightening sensation all over my body. When it was done I felt slightly stronger. I remember that aside from giving you a perk point and Increasing you health leveling up didn't have any other benefits in the game.

It wasn't just my body either I could feel that my senses were sharper and I could even see clearer without my glasses(which I got after my mom found out I was near sighted). Even more than that was my mind I could feel that some of the problems I was having trouble understanding suddenly became easier.

The only answer I could think of for why this happened was that my special stats somehow scaled with level. That is to say having a 4 in perception at level 50 might be the same as having 10+ in it at level 1. This was great news for me since It mean that I would be able to grow far stronger than I thought I would.

When the excitement of my discovery finally died down I remembered that I leveled up and could choose a new perk. I quickly opened up the Perk Chart and wondered about where I should put it.

I was originally planning on upping all of my special stats to at least 5 because having anything under that just really bothered me for whatever reason. In the end I decided against that since I knew that my stats would scale up anyway. However when I looked at the perks I could actually buy with my low stats I was disappointed.

I could only get perks that only had a requirement of 4 in every category except Intelligence and Charisma and after looking through what I could buy there wasn't anything that interested me. There was no point in wasting it on anything in Intelligence since I wanted to try an unlock those on my own. Getting the combat or crafting perks seemed useless too because there was no way my mom was going to let get near anything that remotely looked like a weapon.

There didn't look like there were any perks that I could unlock that would actually be useful to me right now. That's when I saw it the perk Night person I remembered that it boosted Intelligence and Perception by 2 while it was night time.

Just to make sure nothing was different I clicked on the perk to check its effects.

Reading Night Person's description I was stunned OP it was way too OP! It was another thing that was different from the game. In the games it activated its effects at exactly 6 at night and lost them at 6 in the morning. Now it was activated once the sun went down which made sense this wasn't a game world and the time day and night lasted changed with the seasons so it couldn't have fixed times.

That was the unimportant change though the awesome stuff was now the perk could also be activated if I was somewhere extremely dark and enclosed like a cave . . . or a Vault.

Even more impressive than that was its Tier 3 effect it increased two stats by a whole 5 points and could make me invisible. Plus it lessened how dark it had to be for the perk to be used it was broken, it was way too broken. From everything I could see It was perfect there was only one problem.

I needed a 6 in Perception to even be able to buy the first tier, let alone the third one which actually need me to level up a whole 36 more times before I could even think about getting it.

I stared at the perk with determination I need 2 more points in Perception to get the first level of Night Person. I had decided that getting that perk would be my short term goal so I resolutely add that stat point into my Perception increasing it to a base 5.

It was like a fog was lifted around me for the first time in years I could actually see clearly. I took off my glasses and smashed them under my feet. I still needed to level up twice more to get what I wanted and I realized that I would never get there anytime soon if I couldn't rely on the Exp I got from studying.

I needed something to kill, I needed to find Aaron.

Thanks for reading.

I decided that this is how I'm going to show the perks from now on what do you guys think?
