What do you call two people who are going on consistent dates, who kiss every night before parting ways, and who are completely and undeniably infatuated with one another?
Do you call them a couple?
Or are they just dating?
Do they count as ‘friends with benefits’?
Or is it called some new-fangled term that only the kids are using now?
Whatever the others are calling it, I decided to call it what it is—a relationship. I have a boyfriend, and his name is Raven Black.
I lay awake at night and can only think about him. I feel my skin tingle as I think about all of the places he has stroked. Even now, my arms and legs shiver just thinking about him. I see his pale green eyes, like reflective lights in the night, as I close my eyes. His laugh is etched into my very soul, and the mile-wide smile, revealing Raven’s subtle dimples, reveals the true status of his soul.
