Chapter 28 : Riverwalk and Stars
Blair’s POV
I practically count down the minutes until sunset. As long as the sun isn’t directly in the sky, we can definitely be outside.
After our little talk the other night, Raven’s mood seemed to lighten tremendously. This whole thing about him being noble and trying to protect me is adorable but, if I was being honest with myself, the danger surrounding him didn’t intimidate me. It was a weird feeling being invincible with Raven by my side. Honestly, I feel like I can do anything when he is beside me.
Once Raven got this through his skull, he stopped withdrawing. His smile returned, as did his laugh, the moment I kissed him and told him that he was no monster to me.
It was like he needed that affirmation. He needed to know that I wasn’t scared of him and that I didn’t see him as a monster.
