Unbelievable

Eloise just stared at Adam. She had no idea what he was saying, she thought she may have misheard. "Sorry, could you say that again?" Eloise asked.

"I said, do you believe in souls?" Adam asked again.

Eloise just looked at Adam, she blinked and looked to her right. Adrianna had her eyebrows knitted together and she was staring at Adam too. "What do you mean? Like if we have souls?" Eloise asked, incredibly confused.

Adrianna was still sitting quietly staring at Adam. Both girls found him so strange, except Eloise was also intrigued. "Yes, exactly. Do you believe in that?" Adam said, very seriously.

"I guess, I do. A part of me is unsure and the other part just wants to have something to believe in, you know?" Eloise said quietly. Adam smiled at her answer, he was about to go on when he felt a nudge on his arm. "Dude, not now, there's another girl." Noah said. Still unheard or unseen by humans. Adam glared at him and looked back at Eloise, who looked incredibly confused.

"Eloise," Adam said in a very low voice as he looked Eloise in the eye. "The thing is, you were actually supposed to die today. This was your fate, and I was the demon that was supposed to collect your soul." Eloise felt goosebumps rise all over her body. They stared at each other for a few more seconds.

"Alright Eloise, we're out of here." Adrianna finally spoke. She stood up and Eloise looked up at her. She was still so confused with what Adam had just said, she couldn't really process it. How does someone even respond to that?

Adrianna started pulling Eloise up by her arm, "Wait, Eloise, please you need to hear all of it. Your life is in much more danger now," Adam pleaded. "Of course you;d say that you weirdo. Look I have no idea what kind of scam this is but you're obviously crazy." Adrianna said to Adam coldly.

Adam was starting to get irritated. "Adam, I think you need help. There are a bunch of places I can refer you to, so that you can get checked." Eloise said sheepishly as she stood up. 'Does she also think I'm mentally unstable?' Adam thought to himself.

When Eloise was fully standing Adrianna pulled her towards the door and left 3001 as quick as humanly possible. Once they were outside Adrianna steered them towards the alley behind 3001 so that they could talk.

"I TOLD YOU SO!" Adrianna said as soon as they were out of earshot. It was just her and Eloise in the alley, "I told you he was crazy! How creepy was that? Although I get why you wanted to meet with him again he was HOT, but Eloise wow that was unbelievable." Adrianna rambled on while Eloise was still silent, staring at her shoes unable to process it all still.

"He seemed…." Eloise finally spoke, "Genuine" She said followed by a sigh. Adrianna frowned and gave her friend a hug. "I know you tend to believe the best in everyone El, but there are just some people who are just really freaks."

"Who are you calling a freak?" A voice suddenly said behind Adrianna. It was Adam, he and Noah had followed them but had stayed invisible. Adrianna jumped up in shock, and Eloise's eyes widened.

"You followed us??" Eloise said, now starting to get angry. "Look pal, I felt bad for you earlier but now you're literally stalking us and proving it."

"I'm not a creep stalker!" Adam said loudly, exasperated and tired of the two humans testing his patience, "Alright, since neither of you believe me, my friend Noah here will help me prove my point and hopefully help convince you that I'm not here to hurt you." He continued to say as he pointed towards an empty space next to him.

"I told you he's crazy, he even has an imaginary friend." Adrianna whispered to Eloise. At that moment Noah showed himself to Eloise and Adrianna, the two girls' eyes grew huge and their mouths dropped open. "Hey, he's a lot of things but Adam isn't crazy" Noah said to them with a smirk, "Hi girls, I'm Noah!"
