Explaining Apiran

Time has passed and both Ares and Scar snapped back to reality. Ares tries to think it was destined to end badly for him, but he couldn't help but feel sad.

'This is really all I amount to? All I have in both my lives are grievances. Don't you think it's time that I stop feeling bad and just do whatever I can? Those who feel bad for themselves are not fated to achieve anything. Don't feel bad; just fight back.'

Ares tries to look on the bright side of things.

Both Scar and Ares go out of the room and go to find Lucas. Scar puts on a disguise and brought her mask to existence. Ares, on the other head, didn't care.

Ares and Co both head to their house. Shki (Author: The father.) was training and stopped when he heard the door open and close. He goes out to see who is there.

Scar enters the house with a mask, but Shki saw through her.

"What's wrong?"

"Can we talk about it later?"

"Ok~," Shki was worried so he prolonged his 'ok'.

Ares and his family celebrate Lucas's newfound abilities.

"It'll only sooner or later till you can get into an academy and become a magician."

"Ma, pa, bro, I'll miss you all, but not now. I gotta get my magic," Lucas joked.

The celebration passed and Lucas fell asleep. Scar went to Shki and told him they needed to talk about something. Shki soon stopped what he was doing and headed into his bedroom with Scar.

Scar went to put Ares back to sleep, but Ares held her clothes. Scar was surprised.

'Did Ares understand what is about to happen or is he just doing this like what other children do?' Scar thought... Or at least what she looked like she was thinking about.

Scar took Ares with her to the bedroom and sat down with Shki. She started talking to Shki. Telling him what had happened.

Shki was shocked. Never did he think that his child will have something like this. Even if he did have a child that wasn't a swordsman or a magician, he was thinking of something along the long side of that child that didn't or couldn't become one because they weren't talented. Or maybe that child wanted to be something other than a swordsman or magician. Shki was fully ok with what his children wanted.

Shki comforted his wife and told her that he will find a way to give Ares the ability to get strong. Scar looked better, but Ares was still the same. He didn't care how he will get his power, he will still get it either way.

Ares was still in his baby age. He will have to wait till he grows up to a suitable age. When he gets to that age, he will ask his father to teach him about the magic of this world and maybe see if he can learn a magic ability or 2. He will then ask his mother to teach him sword techniques. He will obviously not train or use the sword technique as his body doesn't allow him to. He will just grasp the principle of sword techniques and hold on to them so he can use them when his body gets better.

In the meantime, he will just try to learn to read. This will quite easy as his old language is similar to this new language. After, he will read all the books that aid him. The books will be about either this world or about the type of powers and abilities there are.

It was time for Ares to initiate his plans. He first tried to find books. He waited till he can crawl and in the meantime, he will just listen to the maids or his parent's words to get a grasp of the language. Ares grew up and was now able to crawl. He first escaped his mother's vision to get to the library. He already knew the location of the library because his mother brought him with her to check on Lucas and see how his studies are going.

Ares escaped and went to the library. He kept a map in his mind of when maids arrive to clean the library or the way leading to it. He wanted to make sure no one will be in his way. He made his way to the library. Although it was difficult to get to the library as his body is still undeveloped, the library was close to his bedroom so it was easy to get there. Ares went to the bottom-most row and pulled a book down. Ares tried to be careful as he didn't want the bookcase to fall on him.

Ares read the books and was about to get a mental image of how the words link up or the alphabet of the language of this region of the area. He hoped that if his mother caught him reading books, she will be able to see that he is a genius or something along these lines. He hoped that his mother afterward will let him read books.

Ares read a lot more books and got at least 50% of the language's alphabet. His mother caught him reading a book once and she first was worried but later on, she accepted it. She allowed him to read basic books about the language and that helped speed along his process of learning the language.

Ares now knew the words and alphabet, but he couldn't say them. It was difficult for his body to form words. Ares didn't understand this as he was able to crawl but not speak? Ares tried to speak time again and time again, but they all came out as inaudible noises or just huffs of air. Ares now was knowledgeable about the planet.

The planet Apiran is in the Eirini World. Apiran has a similarity to planets called Earth, Voxan, a few more. Apiran has 3 continents. Each continent has 3 regions. The regions may or may not split into kingdoms or empires.

One of the continents, the Oxeterra Continent, is located in the Northwestern Hemisphere. Oxeterra is split into 3 regions.

The 1st region is the Frozen Region. As the name states, the region is covered in snow. The Frozen Region is mostly habited by ice creatures, ice-magic users, or ice-magic clans/tribes. Therefore, not much human activity or non-ice creature activity is there.

The 2nd region is the Eonnonthra or, in short, Eonno Region. This region is mostly occupied by humans. The Eonno Region is split into 1 empire, 3 kingdoms, and multiple tribes/clans. The empire is the Xotunia Empire (Author: Pronounced X-o-tonya.). The Xotunia Empire has 3 kingdoms under its control. The 3 human kingdoms are the Iwagoth, the Kranutia, and the Naxenet kingdoms.

The 3rd region is the Aeniterra or, in short, the Aeni region. This continent is ruled by diverse races.

The only empire is the Qiacrania or, in short, Crania Empire. The Crania Empire is ruled by the Elven Empire, the Beastkin kingdom, and the Dwarven Underground Empire. These empires are all allied and they constitute a grand empire. A grand empire is an empire governed by multiple empires like an alliance.

The Orcs, Goblins, and all similar creatures all have their own separate clans or tribes. The clans or tribes all spread across both the Eonno region and the Aeni region.

The second continent is the Eastiarona Continent. The continent is located in the Northeastern Hemisphere. The continent is split into 3 regions.

The first region is the prolongation of the frozen region on the Oxeterra Continent. The 2nd region is the Undead Region. The region comprises all the undead creatures. In the undead region, all-natural life is withered. The region has the Vampire Kingdom. The undead region also has ghosts roaming about.

The 3rd region is the Demonic Region. This region possesses the Demon Empire. The Demonic Region, most notably the Demon Empire, doesn't get along with the Undead Region. The two sides are at an all-time war, hence the land is constantly being damaged.

The 3rd continent is mostly famous for being obscure. The 3rd continent is called the unknown continent and it is situated between the Southwestern and the Southeastern Hemisphere. It is said that anyone who goes there never gets back.

Ares also learned about the magic system of this planet.

Kids start learning to use magic at the age of 6. The level system of the magic is a bit complicated, but it's manageable overall.

(Author: This may change in the future) In the first 12 levels of magic, you start by gathering mana from your surrounding. This is called the Mana Gathering Phase. Gathering mana is similar to cultivating. You have to gather mana to unlock your 12 acupuncture points. Unlocking an acupuncture point is painful, so it is recommended to unlock one at a time.

When the Mana Gathering Phase is complete, you will go into the Mana Control Phase. In this phase, you will focus on learning to control your mana. You will first focus on controlling your mana in your body then you will move to the outside of the body when you have control over the mana in your body. When you have control over your mana, this would be the completion of the Mana Control Phase. The first stage of becoming a magician is complete.

The next stage begins with the Condensing Mana Phase. In this phase, you will first start by making a circle with your hands then you will focus mana in the middle of the circle. You will continue to condense mana till it becomes visible.

The next step is selecting your type of magic. There is elemental magic, using the elements. There is mana magic, using pure mana. With mana magic, you can use mana to manipulate the mana around to make a shield, move things, etc. There is much more magic to unlock but these two are the most basic. The elemental magic is picked more as the mana magic is difficult to use, however, the downside with elemental magic is that you can only use specific elements. People with affinity with fire aren't able to use water magic. After you select a magic type, you will start to use the magic constantly to get used to it.

The next phase for the elemental magic is that you will sit next to your type of magic, let's take water for example. You will sit next to the water and use your mana to move the water. You will repeat this process till you have control over the water. Using mana to move elements is different for each element. You can use mana to cup the water or you can use mana to sway fire to spread more. Everyone uses mana differently, most may cup the water or some may give the water a push with mana.

The phase for mana magic is further condensing your magic. This will make the mana more durable and could deal more damage depending on which one you focus on.

This is the end of the 2nd stage of magic. This is all the starter schools will teach you, to get more knowledge, you will have to go to school more made for magic users.

There are also magic items, similar to Ares's old world. The magic items were items infused with magic, the basic stuff. (Author: I don't need to explain this, do I?)

After years, Ares became 4 years old. It was at this age that he was able to say his first words. Ares and his family were baffled. His father brought heal-type magic users and all sorts of priests to help Ares. None of them were able to fix his problem. Even the local healer was shocked, even if she had a disease that stops his growth, it shouldn't be this bad.

At 5 years old, Ares was able to walk. His father taught him magic techniques and his mother taught him melee techniques. Ares never stopped learning and never stopped for the fear of his future becoming gloomy like the past one.

Ares was able to perform his first magic technique and only half a year later did he learn a melee technique. Ares was at age 8 & 8.5 respectively when he learned the techniques.

The techniques he was taught were simple, but it was how fast he was able to grasp them was what impressed his family. Ares chose mana magic because he didn't want to restrict himself to magic and because his parents convinced him to choose it.

Ares made an agreement with his father and that agreement was that if he was able to finish his training by the age of 10 then his father will give him a treasured weapon. Ares had completed the training and he received a weapon.

Ares and his family planned a trip. The trip was to relax as they haven't been out for a while. It was morning and the family was on a carriage.

The carriage was camouflaged, so it looked like a normal carriage. The inside was comfy and soft. Father Shki was sitting on the front side with Lucas, while Mother Scar was on the backside. Ares was laying his head on his mother's lap.

The trip took roughly 8 hours, but the trip paused because the route the carriage was meant to go on was destroyed. They took a detour, but the carriage couldn't go across the new route, so they went on foot. The detour was on a mountain. The family got out of the carriage and talk to the destination while the guards followed.

Ares was walking with his mom. He was walking when he saw a light from afar. It felt like the light was telling him to move towards the light. Ares tried to resist but his body moved without his permission.

The guards saw Ares moving towards the wrong way and warned his parents. His parents asked him what's wrong and Ares wanted to tell them but he couldn't move his mouth.

Ares's body suddenly moves towards the edge of the mountain and then towards a cliff. The family and guards want to grab him but they couldn't feel their bodies. Ares jumped off of the cliff.

It was pitch black with no noise. Ares's breathing could be heard, so as his heart beating. Ares slowly opened his eyes. His eyes felt heavy. He felt cold and wet.

'Argh.'

Ares tried to lift his body, but when his hands were able to touch the ground, he felt a liquid. The liquid splattered and jumped on Ares. The liquid was cold. The surrounding air was cold and had an eerie feeling.

Ares lifted his body and tried to look around; however, he was unable to.

'What is this place?'

Ares stood up and he felt an eerie feeling. The air was freezing.

'Brrr, it's so cold.'

Ares wrapped his arms around himself, his skin chilled from the unforgiving cold. The teeth in his mouth chattered together relentlessly and uncontrollably, and he couldn't stop herself from shaking.

Ares lifted up his right arm in front of himself. Ares moved slowly, making sure to not hit anything. Ares carefully picked up his feet and carefully placed it 2 feet from the previous position.

Ares walked forward and tried to look around. He kept walking for what seemed like ages until he touched a wall. He brought himself closer to the wall and leaned on it.

Ares rested for a moment then continued moving alongside the wall.

'I've been walking for a while. What is this dark place?'

As Ares was thinking to himself, a shadow in front of him moved. Ares heard a low growl before the shadow launched itself at him.

Ares was shocked and didn't know what to do. His mind told his body to move, but his body was still a child's body.

The shadow's form was wobbly and it got increasingly bigger. The shadow then suddenly jumped on Ares.

The shadow's hand suddenly became visible and it looked like a paw. The paw hit Ares and sent him flying. Pain suddenly enveloped Ares's head for a second then Ares's consciousness faded away.
