The Day We Met

Scratching her head, Ameera studies the small paper in her hand while whispering the address that was written in there. She was not sure if she went to the correct address or not, but looking at the place it seems she went on the wrong one.

She was supposed to attend a party of her friend, it clearly states in the address that it was in Villa C at Holiday Hotel. Ameera scanned her surrounding, the Villa looks occupied, but there was no party noise coming from inside.

"Maybe they are not starting yet?" she thought.

With that thought, she pressed the doorbell. She could hear faint movement inside and when no one opened the door, she rang the bell again and this time she heard footsteps approaching the front door.

Ameera was confused when a man opened the door. The man was not familiar at all and she doesn't remember this stranger to belong in their circle of friends.

"Yes?" the man asked. His expression was cold and impatience was written all over his stern face.

"Uhm... Is Kristel there?" She asked twiddling her thumbs unconsciously.

"You got the wrong address." the stranger was ready to close the door, but she immediately stops it with her hand and inserted her foot in the door gap.

"Wait!"

It was clearly written in the paper that the party will be held at Villa C so why was the man telling her that she got the wrong address? If Kristel was playing tricks on her, she's not buying it. She glanced at the Villa letter again to confirm.

"This is the Villa C correct?"

"Yes, this is Villa C but there is no such person here."

"Hehehe... Mister, if you are trying to prank me, I'm telling you it won't work. It says here C, so it means I'm in the right place."

Before the man could react, she already pushed her way inside the Villa.

"Kristel! You know it won't work on me!" She called out.

The moment she stepped inside before she could even react, she saw the man who was a while ago standing near her fell down. Ameera was rooted on her place as she looked at the man on the floor, blood was flowing out his head. Her brain was slow to process the scene that was unfolding in front of her, she doesn't even understand what had just happened. It was too fast that she was not given a chance to scream at all.

"What took you so long?"

She suddenly heard from out of nowhere.

This is something I wrote in a whim, there might be some grammatical and spelling error. Please bare with me.
