Mercurial Eyes

She woke up from her shock upon hearing a man spoke from inside the Villa. His voice was so sexy and deep. As if she was struck by lightning, in the middle of the living room there was a man who was sitting on a one-seater couch. His long legs were crossed together, he was leaning back leisurely while his right hand was resting on top of his legs and the others on the armchair holding a piece of rope.

Behind that calm and relaxed demeanor, Ameera could feel the intensity of his ruthlessness. The coldness in his mercurial eyes was enough to send a shiver down her spine. He was indeed dead gorgeous with those towering nose pair with those silver eyes piercing deeply in her soul. Ever since her standard for handsome was ethereal, and no one was able to make her rooted on the spot just by seeing him from afar. She thought that this kind of face only exists in novels, but she was wrong. Indeed, there was someone who possessed such beauty.

She tried to say something, but no words came out of her mouth. Her lips stay parted as she stares at the man, forgetting that she witnessed a killing incident.

A man in casual clothes walks into the Villa like a cat. His every step was quiet, and she could not even hear him approach. He was carrying a gun with a silencer. The latter hit her gently at the back of her neck that causes her to lose consciousness.

"I was about to infiltrate, but this lady suddenly came. Thanks to her, I was given a chance to hit the target without a sweat."

The hitman caught her from falling and ignored the dead person on the ground.

"He sure has the ball to hold you here hostage and tied you with rope. I wonder where his brain is and have the courage to threaten you?"

"There are still lunatics who think they can outsmart a devil. Let them come as much as they want. It's not fun at all if I'm playing alone."

"That's true." A devilish smile appears on the latter's lip before he followed the man out of the Villa.

"Clean this up." He said nonchalantly without looking back as if everything that happened has nothing to do with him.

Few men in black appeared out of nowhere to obey his command.

"Pier, how about her?"

He stopped and slightly turned back to look at the unconscious woman. It took him a few minutes before he walked away.

"Bring her. We have to compensate her, aren't we." He said.

The mercurial eyes man called Pier disappeared in the darkness of the night.
