Buck is Back

Sometimes Ace got tired of doing the same business. As a Falcon, he had done different and exciting things. He had committed crimes, which had given him satisfaction. It was true that these things were dangerous. Still, he had enjoyed them when he was younger.

He had not indulged in any act of the Falcons for the past few years. He had a nice time in his job now, and he had all comforts of life. There was only one exception. He did not get the feeling of ruling the world. He gloated over the fact that the police did not suspect him in the least, but now and then, he remembered how gratifying it had been to have people pleading with him not to hurt them. That, unfortunately, was now the past. He had no intention of doing anything silly now. It was deplorable that Al and Buck had tried to restart the business again. He had been FORCED to call the police. It was his misfortune that Buck somehow managed to escape. Al was now safely out of the way. Buck was still a threat. He was certain of one thing. Al would never betray him or Buck. When they had started fourteen years ago, they had pledged never to betray each other in case the police caught any of them.

Ace walked to the office. He opened the door and there sat Buck calmly waiting for him.

"YOU!" exclaimed Ace.
