Chapter 13: Handholding

'Hey, are you really gonna pay for her?'

'Well, she won't allow me to and would at least cover 50% of the cost of her outfit, so yeah, I am gonna pay for her outfit in a way. She is the most cheerful person and the most popular girl in the class, she will be useful later. And I am willing to spend a few points for that.'

'I see.' Zekrom replied as Hikaru continued to search for an outfit, which he thought, would suit Kushida.

"This one seems to be suitable for her." Hikaru said as inspected the clothes in front of him.

"Yup, Perfect, I'll choose this one." Hikaru said as he walked to the spot they agreed to meet on after they finished choosing the outfits.

"She isn't here, I'll wait I guess." Hikaru said as he opened his student ID and started playing some pre-installed games on it.

"...did something happen to her?" Hikaru said after waiting for almost an hour.

'Not impossible, but unlikely.' Reshiram said.

"Akiyama-Kun! Sorry for that, I just couldn't choose one, they were all awesome. But don't worry, I found the perfect one for you!" Kushida said feeling a bit proud towards the end.

"Thank You for that, would you like to try them out now?"

"Sure!" Kushida said as she followed Hikaru.

'She needs to be taught about the importance of time. I don't want my trainer's partner to be flawed after all.' Reshiram said.

'I wonder who told me to not interfere with his love life yesterday.' Zekrom replied to Reshiram sarcastically.

"Here is the one I chose for you, try it out." Hikaru said as he passed the outfit he chose to Kushida.

"Un! Here is yours." Kushida said as she handed Hikaru his outfit before darting off to the changing room.

"I'll change too I guess." Hikaru said as he entered one of the vacant changing rooms. [E/N-No ecchi sadly.]

As Hikaru walked out of the changing room after changing into his outfit, he could see Kushida waiting for him.

"Thank You Akiyam-Kun! I like this outfit a lot!" Kushida said as she hugged Hikaru for a moment before twirling around and showing Hikaru her outfit.

She was currently wearing a white Turtleneck Sweater and a check-patterned brown High-Waist Skirt which really emphasized her curves. She was also wearing a large black coat cause, it gets windy here real quick and lastly to add a touch of innocence, she was wearing a heart-shaped earring with a pearl in-between it and a fake spec.

"You look beautiful Kushida-san, I would have probably said something more than this if you weren't this beautiful. But I am afraid that there aren't enough words in the world to describe how beautiful you are, I am scared to undermine your beauty so I'll just say this, you look beautiful." Hikaru said honestly with a slight smile.

"Ah, you look handsome too!" Kushida said while blushing slightly, every girl loves and deserves compliments after all.

Hikaru was currently wearing a Plain White Shirt and Dark-Green Denim, covered by a matching dark green coat. He was also wearing a pair of brown boots, the combination of the colours really complemented his dark black hair.

"You flatter me, now let's pay for these things after which we can leave." Hikaru said as he walked towards the counter where the scanner scanned their clothes directly, not requiring them to change out of it. How convenient.

"The total will be 71,999 points, is that okay with you?"

"Yes."

"Can I have your Student ID please?" The employee asked Hikaru.

"Akiyama-Kun! I can't take something so expensive!" Kushida said in a panic as Hikaru handed over his Student ID.

"It's alright, it's my choice to gift it to you after all, and I can't rob the world of such a precious thing now, can I?" Hikaru said.

'Wasn't she going to pay half of the price for her outfit?'

'I got to see something good, so we can ignore that and I didn't realize that it would be this expensive. She probably won't be able to afford it as spending 70,000 pints out of the total 100,000 points is something won't do normally unless they are an idiot and it's kinda my fault as I should have checked the prices, but well, I regret nothing.'

"But I still can't take something so expensive!" Kushida said to Hikaru, still panicking.

"Well, too late. I already paid for it and they don't have a refund policy. Am I correct?" Hikaru said as he looked at the employee and signalled him to play along with him.

"Unfortunately yes, we don't have a return policy." The employee said while smiling a little, seemingly catching up on Hikaru's intentions.

"Ah! Can we really not?"

"Unfortunately no."

"Well, that settles it. Let's go now, we don't want to spend the rest of the evening here right?" Hikaru said as he walked out of the shop.

"I really can't take this for free, how about I compensate you with a date?" Kushida said though quickly realized her mistake after a few minutes.

"Ah, don't misunderstand me! I am not that type of girl!"

"I know, how about we just hang out this weekend? You can bring your friends too if you want to."

"Un! That seems fun, I am looking forward to it!"

"It's 7:30 already, how about I escort you to your room? Although the campus is secure, you never know."

"Sure!" Kushida said as both of them started walking towards the dorm.

"To be honest, today was quite fun Akiyama-Kun."

"The same can be said for me."

"I am really looking forward to the weekend and I hope that we will have an even better time then." Kushida said excitedly.

"I look forward to it."

"By the way, are you sure you will be alright after spending 70,000 points today?"

"Don't worry, It's okay." Hikaru said.

After which both of them walked in silently without speaking, feeling comfort in the silence and before they realized it, they were already in front of the dorm.

"Good Night Kushida-San, see you tomorrow."

"You can just call me Kikyo you know." Kushida said as she stared at Hikaru with a slight glint of mischief in her eyes.

"In that case, you can also call me Hikaru, Kikyo." Hikaru said with a smile.

"Eh! Good Night, see you later...Hikaru." Kikyo said as she blushed a bit before dashing off towards the dorms.

"That settles it I guess. I should probably collect my access card from the reception, it should be ready by now." Hikaru said as he walked into the dorm.
