Their fault wasn't that they abandoned me...

Alina slowly gain her consciousness back. She felt that her body was extremely light as if it was floating. Alina slowly opened her eyes, letting her eyes get used to the light.

As soon as her eyes adjusted, she saw nothing but blue. Where ever she looked she saw blue, as if she was looking at the sky.

Alina then looked down at her body, only to find herself floating in water. Her whole body was under water, leaving just her face above the water.

She tried to leave the floating position but not matter how much she tried she remained like that. She could move her body but she was still unable to leave the floating position or move from her place.

[What's going on?] Alina tried to look around but her vision was limited due to her floating position.

She could only see water all around her. She started to struggle but after a few hours of struggling she gave up.

[What happened? Did I not die? Was I captured? If so then shouldn't I be able to hear noises] as soon as she came to this, alina's body went stiff. She just noticed that she could not hear anything.

Then what about talking? She tried to talk but nothing came out. She knew that her mouth was moving, she could feel her mouth move but nothing came out of it. Alina touched her face with one hand than she tried again, she could feel her mouth move and she confirmed this by her hand but there was no sound coming out of it.

Even though she struggled with all her might, she could not leave the place she was in. she somehow that she didn't even moved an inch from her original place. Even thought she could not move willing, she was drifting with the waves.

Her mind was totally occupied by this that she had no time to think about anything else. She was constantly checking her surroundings. She thought that maybe by doing this she would be able to get a clue of what was happening here

She waited and waited for some kind of change, after some time the light around her started to get dim.

Alina sat there as she saw the sky getting dark from one side. Her eyes caught a sparkling spot in the sky, as time passed more of this sparkling spot came into the sky.

Soon the sky was completely dark but it looked beautiful as it was covered with millions of stars. But this beauty was deadly as a person tends to get lost in their thoughts slowly whenever they come upon a vast sea of stars.

These thoughts are nice and happy at first but slowly turn into something else. A tear left alina's eyes and travelled down her cheek, only to get one with the sea.

Alina bit her lip to stop herself from crying. She did everything she could to stop her memories from resurfacing but nothing helped.

She remembered what she saw in Eliza memories, as her tears refused to be stopped from falling.

These memories kept playing in her mind again and again; alina didn't even notice that it was day again.

She knew that she had died. It didn't matter much to her that she was died, but it pained her heart to think that she was the cause of her mother's death.

Her tears refused to stop from falling. [I am sorry lily, I took mom away from you, I promised that I never planned to do that…. It's just… I am sorry… I hope you can forgive me] alina thought of how she took two important people from lily's life, that is Derek and Eliza.

She knew that Derek would be dead in three days; this was because of the dagger she used. That dagger was ancient artifact and many people don't even know that exists. The people, who know about its existence, just consider it as an ordinary dagger but alina knew that it was anything but an ordinary dagger.

Alina knew that it all depended on if the dagger chooses you as its master. If it does than it would fulfill your wish, even the ones hidden deep within its owner heart. She used this dagger to wish death upon Derek and all she had to do was to get a scratch on him. After that no matter what Derek does, he won't be able to escape death.

[Mom, dad I am sorry, I am…. I am so so sorry… I was so selfish that I couldn't even see how much you have suffered… I am so sorry that I couldn't even see desperation … I am so sorry that I couldn't even see the help you always provided me… I am so sorry that I couldn't give you a daughter you deserved… I am … sorry] alina mind was totally numb. She just got a portion of Eliza memories but even in those memories she could feel how much her parents have done for her.

They might not have shown her the love they had in front of her, but they always did everything they could in the shadows.

The memories kept on replaying in her mind as she saw days turn into night and night turn into days. She never felt hungry or thirsty; she just kept on floating in the vast sea.

[I was wrong, their fault wasn't that they abandoned me, it was that they never abandoned me.] The little bit of anger she had in herself vanished with the passing time and only left sadness.

[I thought I was right… I thought it would be okay… I thought …] her tears which have dried down started falling again [I am so sorry…]

So many days have passed that alina lost count of them. The memories kept playing in her mind for the nth thousand times. She did not shed a tear nor did she felt anything.

She became numb to everything; she just stared at the sky as it changes its color while she just drifts away with the waves.

Many days passed just like this. She was now used to feeling lonely.

[If only I took notice of my surroundings, if only I would have listened to my parents maybe mom would be alive right now…] alina eyes got some of their soul back.

[I can't let this end like… I simply won't let it end like this…] alina suddenly felt a pull from within the water.
