CHAPTER 12

"What? Where is everyone?", said another guard in confusion. The guards were greeted with open cell doors, broken shackles, and an empty chamber.

"What is going on here? Robert could you check the visuals for me. Over.", said the guard over the radio. There was not even a single soul present when the guards came in. The only sound they heard was the gently creaking of the cell doors and the loud noises of the machines in the torture chambers.

"Visual is negative. All the cameras are blocked with something. Over.", said Robert on the radio.

"Oh no!", said one of the guards as they looked up to see the cameras. A wave of fairies jumped down on them like animals and attacked them furiously. The fairies were well equipped with several knives and saws from the torturing chamber. They cannonballed on top of the guards, smashing them to the ground, and knocking them unconscious. It was a full tsunami of fairies, screaming and shouting as they fought for survival. A bloody battle led to the death of multiple guards and a few fairies. Abby and grandpa's crew directed a few fairies to the chamber and a few on top of the cameras. The plan was to ambush the guards and force their way out. Miss Swan, Miss Megan, Joe, and Vivian were amongst the group of fairies hidden on top, and Abby along with the crew and grandpa hid in the chambers. Just as the guards spotted the fairies on top, Abby ordered the second batch of fairies to attack from the left. The strength and the brains of the fairies left the guards startled and dazzled. They were surrounded by all of the fairies of fairyland! A blood bath resulted in the fairies' victory, but this was not the end yet.

"Okay! Okay! There are around 10 guards in the east, 10 in the west, and around 30 up front and back! At this point now we don't attack, we defend! We will defend and run the guards over!", said Abby as she grabbed the shields from the dead guards.

"The front row of fairies will cover them from these shields. The rest of the fairies are going to keep running and pushing. Don't give these guards a single chance of loading their guns. Just run and kick! Understand.", said Abby. There was a fiery rage running through her heart and her brain. Abby was willing to go to the farthest extend to stop Richard and the humans. Robbin and David were handing over the shields to Helena, grandpa, Joe, and Vivian.

Dory came running upfront and held Abby's hand,

"We stand together... always. No matter what happens.", said Dory as all of her emotions came bursting through her. Abby squeezed her tightly and said,

"I love you, Dory.".

"I love you Abs.", replied Dory. Vivian was standing in a distance, witnessing this beautiful scene. Their love for each other was am example of true friendship. No one knew what was going to happen outside, whether or not they were going to get out of this hell alive. The chance was slim but they decided to take it anyways.

Abby split the fairies into two teams. One of them attacked the west border of the base and the other was going to attack the east border of the base. Grandpa and his crew were going to take down the guards in the back, while Abby went to the front with the wand.

"Are we ready team?', said Abby. She received an enthusiastic reply from the fairies. Now was the time to face the monsters. Abby used the wand to dismantle any weapons in the base. From guns to bombs, she disabled everything. The fairies charged towards the guards with quick speed, catching them by surprise. An entire herd of fairies pushed the guards on the ground and suffocated them between their feet. Grandpa and his crew took down the guards in the back. Abby proceeded to the front gate where multiple guards were standing by. A few extra hallways were leading towards the front gate. Abby bid farewell to the rest of the fairies and advanced towards the guards. The hallway Abby took was quieter than usual.

"Maybe all of the guards went to the cell.", she thought. This type of silence never brings good news. Abby tried to keep calm and fly when she heard wings flapping in a distance,

"Hello, darling. We meet again.", said Richard in an evil way.

He rested on top of the floor and stared at Abby.

"It wasn't that nice of you to steal my belongings.", he said.

"It never belonged to you.", replied Abby with a grin.

Richard laughed at her confidence and said,

"Do you really think you can defeat me? Even with this wand?", asked Richard.

"I know the power it holds, and what I know even more is that you are scared to lose it.", replied Abby. She grabbed the wand from both of her hands and brought it closer to her knee.

"I will break it.", she said. Richard didn't seem moved or scared by Abby's threat. He knew that something, forged of great power couldn't be easily destroyed,

"You fool! Do you think that your little strength is enough to break this wand.", he smiled. Richard began to move towards Abby very slowly. Abby was away from all of the fairies and couldn't call out for help either. She was frightened by Richard approaching her. She tried to think of a way to divert his attention before he hurts her. Abby looked around for a solution and saw a gutter flowing by. he held the wand above the gutter and said,

"DON'T! I will drop it.". Richard's smile disappeared from his face and darkness prevailed.

"You wouldn't little girl. You don't have the courage to do it.", he smirked.

"O yeah, then watch this.", Abby let go of the wand and to distract Richard.

"No!", Richard screamed. He used his powers to stop the wand. Abby took this opportunity to grab it and run away. Richard was flying behind Abby with full force, screaming, and shouting.

"Come back you brat!", he screamed, "Come back with the wand!".

Abby didn't dare to look back at him. She flew as fast as she could to escape the wrath of Richard. It wasn't long before he was towering over her from behind. Richard grabbed Abby's collar and threw her back. Abby used the wand to push Richard aside. She flickered the wand and pointed it at Richard. A zig-zag light hit Richard like a firewall. He spun around and fell to the floor. Abby's heart was racing at that point. She wasn't sure if the wand would actually work like that, she closed her eyes and hoped for the best. Fortunately, she managed to put Richard to the ground. Abby gasped and laughed. She was panting heavily as she got up from the floor. She stared at the wand in astonishment. Richard was lying on the ground, grunting. He lifted himself in pain. He chuckled and said,

"That... that was good, I mean... that was amazing.", he got two steps closer to Abby and continued to say,

"Do you have the guts to kill me. I am one of the strongest fairies and the only one in this generation who knows black magic. But you.... looking at you... reminds me of my younger self.". He said.

Abby grinned and said, "I am nothing like you, you monster.".

"Oh, we are more similar than you think. (he coughed) Maybe we could strike a deal.". said, Richard.

"What deal?", asked Abby with a serious face.

Richard stopped moving for a second and looked at Abby.

"The wand.... in exchange for the truth.", he laughed.

"What truth?", brushed off Abby.

"The truth about you..... Your existence..... everything.", he said, making a mesmerizing face.

Abby's heart started beating faster than usual. "I already know the truth.", said Abby.

Richard began to cough and smile constantly,

"That is what you think you know.", he laughed.

"I have answers to every question in your mind.".

Abby made a serious face and replied, "I already got all the answers I was looking for. I don't need your help.", she replied.

"Do you know who you are..... Abby? Who are you? I am pretty sure you didn't get the answer to that. Give me the wand and I'll give you your freedom, your truth..... your right.", said Richard.

Abby told Richard to step away and called off the deal.

"There is no deal between you and me Richard!", said Abby furiously.

"Then there is no MERCY!", he screeched. Richard began to fly furiously towards Abby.

Abby waved her wand and struck him again. Richard used his powers to strike the bolt away. Abby was left startled by this. The wand was the only power protecting her but, if Richard continues to strike the bolt away, Abby will be walking straight in her death pool.

"You caught me off-guard once. It will not happen again.", said Richard as he tossed the fires away from him. Abby was panicking not because Richard was getting closer and closer. He lifted Abby from the throat and stared into her eyes,

"You can NEVER defeat me.", and pushed her down the hall. The wand fell from her hands onto the floor. Richard picked up the wand as Abby was lying in pain.

"I told you..... I told you to make a deal, but your stupid reluctancy got you nowhere..... You are the only one responsible for your death. This is the end of the line, BRAT!".

Richard was not going to hesitate once to kill Abby. Lying on the floor, coughing in pain, Abby tried to think of a way out.

"There must be something.", she thought. There was a little water beside where she lay. The water was piled up in the form of a straight line. Just then, Abby remembered that she could freeze water. As Richard approached her intending to kill her, Abby froze up the water to form an ice stick. She hid it in her hands as Richard flipped her over. He grabbed her by the neck and whispered,

"Goodbye..... Abby.", he laughed. Richard pointed the wand towards her neck and gave Abby a brutal smile. Abby gazed back into his eyes and said,

"I don't think so.". Richard was confused and answered,

"We will see.", he smiled. Just then, Abby lifted the stick and drove it through Richard's heart. She twisted it around and took it out. Richard froze in one position, his mouth left wide open and his eyes popped out. He looked down and saw the stick in his heart. His grip loosened from Abby's neck. She got up from the ground and pushed Richard aside. Richard moved around unconscious and fell to the floor. He wriggled and struggled until his body stopped moving. There was a moment of silence in the hallway. Abby approached Richard and took a look at him.
