Fairy Tail: Twilight Dragon

It was an era where giant dragons ravaged, flames blazed into the sky, human beings lingered, and ruined kingdoms and dilapidated ruins were everywhere. A man who should have never existed in that world appeared. What changes will his existence bring to the world, both in the present and in the future? An existence that overshadows the Black Mage Zeref and the Black Dragon Acnologia. Disclaimer: Fairy Tail is not my work but that of Hiro Mashima. This is my first attempt at writing, so there are undoubtedly mistakes, and there might be differences from the canon. Constructive feedback and suggestions are more than welcome as we embark on this journey.

Chapter 1 : Dragon Egg?

Year 3XX

In a clear blue sky, a bright thing shot across it like a shooting star.

In the era where dragons held dominion, the sight is nothing special, as fireballs can be larger than a mountain or thunder falls during a clear sky. Yet for some reason, many creatures cannot help but observe with keen interest as the meteor descends upon the land, disappearing beyond the horizon.

The air itself seemed to tingle with the magic it brought, promising a change in the world. The dragons, the apex predators of the current era, watched as the world geared up for something new, all wrapped in the mystery of the falling star.

----------------------------------------------------------

In a mountainous area, there is a gigantic dragon whose body is covered with dark, red scales. It's lower body, specifically his stomach, the inner portions of his long tail, and his legs, are beige in color. The dragon also has noticeable scars on his stomach and neck, with the largest one, which is X-shaped, located around the center of his body. His back has numerous black spikes, reaching down from the back to the end of his tail. It has a triangular head with horns, a pair of large, round eyes with yellow sclera, and a sharp horn pointing upwards just above his nose. The dragon's large bony wings resemble a bat's, with rippled tips.

The dragon stared at the horizon where the meteor disappeared, seemingly in deep thought. After some time, he simply closed his eyes and continued his nap.

At the same time, in a certain kingdom in Ishgar, which was surrounded by walls, the inside of them contained numerous housing and building structures, as well as the main palace. The exterior of the palace had many tall structures with dragon statues placed on top of them, walkways and passageways, as well as trees and plants. The palace itself was a large stone building with many unique structures and arches.

Inside the palace, a woman with long scarlet hair was standing by the window. She also saw the meteor crossing the blue skies and couldn't help but worry; there was something within her telling her that it was not as simple as it seemed to be.

"Is it a vision of hope or despair?" The woman murmured softly, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

In a lush forest

An egg, about a meter in size, was sitting in the middle of the forest. Its shell was purple, adorned with intertwining lights; it was as if looking at the starry skies.

"A dragon egg?" A doubtful voice came not far away from the egg.

A dragon with pristine white scales glistening like freshly fallen snow, all attention was fixated on the egg before it. The dragon's imposing head bore a distinctive crescent-shaped horn, showcasing both its elegance and ancient lineage. Along the neck, ethereal strands of fur-like adornments swayed gently. As the dragon's claws extended, crimson fur adorned them, a vivid contrast to the purity of its scales. Yet, it was the nine additional tails, reminiscent of snowy foxes with crimson tips, that added an extra layer of mystique to the dragon's presence.

"It seems fate has brought us together, child. You are the starry sky and I am the moon, ah yes, a perfect match indeed."

As if responding to the dragon, the egg emitted a purple light and shook slightly.

"Oh, so eggs do respond." The dragon spoke as if discovering a great truth. It's fox like tails swaying excitedly.
