241. Back to The Guild

After winning the competition, Ben finally becomes a Wizard Saint. He used some threats too but that's not too important. All is fine as long as he becomes a Wizard Saint now.

They hold Ben's inauguration ceremony right after the competition. It's just a simple ceremony because Ben asked it to be like that. He doesn't want to hold something merry while his guild is supposedly mourning now.

After he officially becomes a Wizard Saint, Ben returns to Magnolia. Everything related to his position as a Wizard Saint will be sent to him in a few days. So now he can go home and get some good rest.

Mira & Bella have returned first with some of the kids that they've saved. So he can directly go to Magnolia without stopping anywhere. He also has left for a few days, so he really needs to return soon.

"The matters with Magic Council are under control now. They shouldn't dare to mess with us again from now on or they'll get destroyed. Now I can focus on the guild, the investigation about the spell used on Tenrou Island, and a few more personal things," ponders Ben while driving.

Ben then realizes that he still has a lot of problems even though he just finished a big one. Taking care of his guild is a more tiring task than messing with Magic Council. There are many things that he needs to do as a Guild Master, after all.

"Sigh, I shouldn't accept this position," grumbles Ben.

[Too late to regret it.]

"I know, no need to tell me that. Anyway, we have a new project now. I want to start the project to dispel the magic used on Tenrou Island but we don't have any information about it. So for now, I want you to analyze the Anima that we got from our trip to Edolas. Find out if we can recreate and strengthen it," says Ben.

[Understood.]

Ben has a plan to use Anima but he keeps it a secret for now. AI Chip will work on it while he will work on other things. He has many things to do as a new Guild Master, especially after what happened to their guild.

After arriving on Magnolia, Ben immediately goes to the guild. Everyone must've been waiting for him so he needs to show up there first. And just like he thought, they were waiting for him with anticipation.

Ben sighs and says, "I am a Wizard Saint now," with a smirk.

Everyone is surprised before they smile and cheer happily. But then Bisca tells them to get quiet and reminds them that the guild is still in mourning time. They've discussed that they won't hold any celebration for 3 months after the incident.

Well, it's not that they can't hold it, they just can't show it to the public. They all know the truth but the public doesn't know it. So they can't hold any celebration that gathers the public's attention for these 3 months.

"We just need to hide it right?" asks Ben before he activates the enchantment to cover the guild's activity.

Now they can do anything inside the guild and no one will see it from outside. They immediately hold a party to celebrate Ben's ascension as a Wizard Saint. Him being a Wizard Saint will really help their guild, after all.

The 3 children that Mira brought here also seem to enjoy the party. They've gotten better after they arrived at the guild. Everyone's behavior helped them to move on faster after losing their families.

Currently, the children live in the guild's dormitories. The 2 girls live in the girls' dormitory while the youngest boy lives in the boys' dormitory. Ben pays their rent & living expenses for now because he was the one who picked them.

Well, it's an investment for the guild's future, so it's not a problem. Guilds will always need young Mages so training children like them is a usual thing. They also have training programs for children like them, after all.

While the adults drink & enjoy the party, Ben gathers the 3 children & his students. They sit on the side where the only empty table is. Ben then set up a barrier enchantment to block the noise from outside.

"Why do you gather us, Ben-nii?" asks Ron.

"I have a task for the 11 of you. It is to teach magic to these 3," says Ben.

"What? Us? Teaching magic?" asks Yorki in disbelief.

"Yeah, it's an important task," says Ben.

"But why us? We have never taught anyone before. Besides, we don't have much experience as Mages," says Gea.

"Then it's a chance for you to do it. You need to gather experience as much as you can while you are young. I taught you when I was 12 and Wendy was 7 at that time, so you must be able to do it too. You just need to teach them what I taught you," says Ben.

The 11 young Mages discuss among themselves while the 3 children get nervous. Then finally, they agree, making the children happy.

"Good, I will give you sufficient reward, so don't worry. As for you kids, you don't need to worry about living expenses. But I want you to also work for it. You will work as waiters in the guildhall from 8 AM to 12 AM. After that, you can do what you want including training," says Ben.

"Yes! Thank you very much, Master," says the 3 children while bowing.

Ben nods and then asks, "Ah, I forget, but what are your names?"

The 3 introduce themselves. The oldest girl is Mia, the younger girl is Helen, and the youngest boy is Jack. Mia is 11, Helen is 9, and Jack is 8 right now. They aren't siblings, but they are still relatives, that's why they stay together.

"Alright, the 3 of you can ask Mira about the work. You will do this work until you are ready to take quests. Is there any question?" asks Ben.

The children shake their heads because they still don't know what to ask. They are still clueless about all these new things. Ben doesn't want to make them uncomfortable, so he dismisses them and tells them to enjoy the party.

They hold the party for some hours before they stop because Ben, the main star is tired. He has going here & there for a few days so he wants to rest. What he did in these last few days doesn't tire him physically, but it has tired him mentally.

When he lays on his bed, Ben immediately sleeps like a log. Mira lets him sleep even though he hasn't taken a bath. She has prepared hot water for him but he just falls asleep as he touches the bed so she just uses the hot water with Bella.

The next day, Ben works in his office to finish some official matters that haven't been done since he left. He makes some clones to help him finish the documents. There are just too many of these documents that he needs to handle.

"It seems I need to change the management system of this guild. I can't keep taking care of things like this and focus on handling more important matters. AI Chip, do you have data for an efficient management system?" asks Ben.

[There are some books containing management systems for organizations.]

"Hmm, use them to make the most efficient system for our guild," says Ben.

[Understood.]

"How's the analyzing of the Anima going?" asks Ben.

[It has been dismantled into its smallest parts and their functions are being investigated now.]

"Alright, finish it as fast as possible so we can start the next project," says Ben.

Then, Ben checks some more things in the guild before he ends the day. He is very busy with official things today, not something that he likes. At least the night with Mira is something that he really likes.

"So, what's the plan now?" asks Mira after their battle.

"For now I want to stabilize the guild. We need to take quests more often, including S-Class jobs," says Ben.

"Alright, I will take a job. But can I go with Bella?" asks Mira.

"Sure. I will stay in the guild for a long time so she will get bored if she stays," says Ben.

Both of them then sleep to prepare for the incoming days.
