Angry Squirrel
This is one of the quirkiest books I've ever read. It constantly gives me a chuckle with its fun, light hearted (yet dark at times), intriguing story. Filled with twists and turns, satire and sarcasm, this intelligent main character and his increasing gang of flawed and endearing misfits proceed to do righteousness (or non righteousness) in weird roundabout ways. I followed this back when it was on gravitytales so I am super glad that they're continuing the translations on this site (Thanks again for that!) Highly recommended!
READ IT. It's worth it believe me. It is something different from all the other webnovels and i like all the others in the top 10 popula section too. It all beginns on a low level and it becomes better. It also contains much humor and a density with sad moments where the story becomes really distant and then there are these funny moments which didn't seem not in place like in other storys. I also love the world building and how they tell the story, which is pretty realistic, as far as reborn in a other world can be realistic. Maybe the only point which could be better would be the slaughter and the brutalism. Sry for that english i am swiss ^^.
This story is the best planned story I've ever seen. Webnovels tend to get randomn after the first arc. Not this novel.I can see in chapter 451that everything was already planned out. Altough it starts like a goofy parody, there are also epic moments. Speaking of the main char. It is an hilarious Charakter switching between grand schemes to save the World, petty underhanded schemes against friends and foes (sometimes it's unclear who ist foe and who is friend) and getting ganged up from 'girlfriend', system or whatsoever. The MC stays always positive despite any backlash throwed at him. And Boy there are a lot of backlashes. Speaking of the characters around him. There are a ton of them. OK, most of them are pretty high in the Beifeng scale. But they are fleshed out. What ist also uncommon, that the characters developing themselves outside of the Story.
There honestly isn't much I can say about this novel without spoiling anything. This novel is a masterpiece. It is hilarious without being cringy, it has action that isn't repetitive, and the characters...... Oh the characters... There is every personality type under the sun in this novel, and it is done sooo well. If you can read the first 10 chapters without laughing, or at least smiling, then you have got to have the best pokerface in existence.... or absolutely no sense of humour.
Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Very similar to Overlord. But funnier, and also more tragic at the same time but unlike overlord there is a definite lightness to the narrative. It's kind of like konosuba when it comes to the comedy but unlike konosuba it doesn't get old because the story line gives you significant breaks from the comedy sometime. I could like talk about the many facets and parallels that I love about the story, but I'll never get enough time. It's just a shame that it's rank 44, it's one of those stories that just gets better with time unlike others just pulling out deus ex machina out of their asses, in this story a bunch of problems can be foreshadowed and actions have consequences other than 'dude I beat is back for revenge, and after I kill him his more powerful relative/friend/sect, etc. Is going to get revenge.'
This novel is unlike the progressive stories where the MC gets stronger after within each disaster. Many things are going on at once and battle of schemes and conspiracies are more grand than physical fights. The main attractions in this novel (my thoughts) are the character development and world building. Many characters are depicted perfectly even with the few chapters they have and often inspiring. The world is a mess initially, but once you read on you will find that it all links together. My favourite read so far.
What happened? It's been a week since you last updated the novel... Did something happen in real life or did the the taste of spirit stones make you forget to update especially now that you've went premium???...Or did I miss something where you said you won't be able to update this week and am making a fool out of myself for writing this? (sorry for the bad english)
Good book, however... I usually don't care about premium shenanigans, BUT; If you're gonna read purely on bought spirit stones, prepare to pay in excess of $150 USD for the 400 odd locked chapters at an average of 20 SS per(8000SS), not even counting whats to come. To put it briefly; FART. The goblins of Gringotts bank are put to shame in front of such greed.
Amazing!, however theres a personal problem for me. The mc repeatedly conplains yet doesnt do anything about a lot of personal things. The entire world thinks that he likes little boys, so he acts "mad" then doesnt do anything about it. He will complain about a huminoid creep who r*pes animals of the same gender, yet still travel happily with him. I really live it but im stopping at chapter80. This gay bs is getting old, its fine to have gay characters i dont care, its fine to make it comedy, but its annoying to have it come up again and again as if its some bad thing that the mc hates, but he just acts like some fkd up tsundere and fakes "disgust" and "anger" it ruins the story for me. Its the same thing with him complaining about being virgin yet running away from girls affections.
