Review Detail of Kariwm_Klawm in Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich

Story is an intriguing mix of cross references to a variety of RPGs, games and fantasy worlds. This novels greatest strength is that it exclusively concentrates on the plots, schemes and activities of the main character. Has an unusually realistic representation of insanity through age. The MC is over 300 years old, has seen, experienced and felt everything he could possibly want to so as his immortal existence drags on he becomes stranger and stranger. A kind of ‘madness’ that comes from the banality of endless existence and only feeling as if you live shallowly in the world. Takes over 25 large chapters to even begin to make sense and even when his full goal is largely revealed post chapter 50 the schemes of the MC are so elaborate you still don’t truly know what is going on behind the scenes. An interesting book, would recommend. I can’t really compare it to any other books, as whilst plenty of books have attempted to tackle high intelligence characters they frequently use ‘intellect’ as a scam stat to know things they couldn’t logically know, make the rest of the characters retarded (wow xxx-Sama, how did you create mayonnaise!!!), create endless clones or become gods in battle. In this story intelligence is a strange combination of memory, fluency, ability to conceive and execute plans, theorise others actions or otherwise control other people. In action you become ‘mad’ because you’re actions are both to make your opponents act as you wish and make your actions unreadable by your opponent. If you want harems, god-like power and a character who stands alone as remotely intelligent amongst a world of lemmings, look elsewhere. If you want an intelligent story doing the best attempt I’ve ever seen of a genius main character I can only recommend this story.
