Evolution of an Incubus

This probably going to be a trash book like all my other books so please don’t bother reading. The updates will be sporadic at best. Now if you do decide to read, I feel sorry for you. If you don’t, you made a good choice.

Chapter 6

It was the most amazing mixture of colors he had ever seen.

There were blues and blacks and reds and oranges and pinks and hundreds of other colors.

While Sol was stunned with his first sunset, Sylvia was searching for a whole or a group of branches close enough to sleep on.

After a little searching, she found a hole in the tree, big enough for Sol and her to sleep comfortably.

She ventured into the whole but as she got close, she heard rustling around in the hollow part of the tree.

In her snake form, she slowly slithered up to the whole. As her head crept into the whole, a loud, bird-like a shriek.

"SQUAWK!!!"

The, an overgrown bird shot out of the tree. It used its claws to grab the Sylvias body and shot out of the tree.

"SOL!!!" Sylvia screamed as she got carried away by the large bird.

Sol looked in the direction of Sylvias voice and saw a very familiar snake being carried away by an unfamiliar bird.

"SYLVIA!!" Sol yelled.

He instantly extended his tentacles towed her, trying to ether reach her or the snake stealing bird.

"GGGGGAAAAAAAA!!!!" Sol screamed as he extended his tentacles as far as he could but couldn't reach her.

He then started running like a rabid dog. From tree branch to tree branch he swung, using all the tools at his disposal to catch up with the bird. A red, aura swirling around him as killing intent, thought small, started flowing from his body.

He may have been a life for 2 months but in that time he had major personality changes. He was still young and dumb but with what he learned from the cave and Sylvia, he had become both cold and calculating and jubilant and lustful.

At this moment, well, you can guess how pissed he was as this bird was flying away with his only family.

With his tentacles, he had essentially gained another 6 arms. He only chose 6 because any more and he would have to focus more on controlling them than getting to Sylvia.

But even with just these 6 new 'arms', he was flying through the jungle at speeds that most jungle animals, or any animal for that matter, could only dream of.

He chased and chased and chased, every once in a while, with all of his might, make a giant push that launched him up into the sky but he always seemed to come a little close but was never able to catch the bird snake combo.

...

He had a high endurance but it was not infinite. He began to tire out after a good 15 minutes of a full sprint.

The bird was getting farther and farther out of reach. But Sol had noticed something in the distance. It looked like a bunch of stone pillars with a few more flying dots overhead. The bird seemed to be going in that direction and Sol was falling behind.

He had continued running after the bird but a lot slower than before. He kept running to the stone pillars as he did his best to follow the bird.

...

When he made it to the outskirts of the stone pillars, the forest stopped. As he continued, he saw wood houses put lining the ground.

He stopped at the edge of the forest and observed. He noticed that along with the stone pillars, there was a huge wall. He couldn't see anything past the wall but before the wall, there were hundreds of thousands of wooden houses. They varied in height and length.

Closer to the forest, they were really small. Some had windows, some didn't. They looked like they were thrown together this morning. a few people were walking in and out of the buildings. Most were poorly clothed or not clothed at all.

Sol was hiding behind one of the buildings, trying to figure out where in this city Sylvia was. She had seen the bird carry her into the wall but then he lost her.

"What are you doing there, boy?" An elderly voice said.

Sol jumped as the voice spoke. He was about to attack when he saw the figure. It was an old man. He was better dressed then every other human Sol has seen so far. Sol stopped his attack after he had seen this, not because he was old but because he was a human.

"No matter how old or young, never let a male human see your tentacles unless you are sure you absolutely have to kill them. If you don't have to, avoid it, or else the consequences will most likely be your life. For women, do whatever you want but make sure that that you control them after." Sylvia warned.

The old man didn't pose much of a threat so Sol didn't try to kill him. The old man seemed to lean in closer to get a better look at Sol.

"Boy, where are your parents?" The old man asked.

"What is a ... parent?" Sol asked the old man.

Sylvia never explained anything about familiar bonds so he had no idea what a family was.

"You ... don't know what a family is?"

Sol shook his head.

"I see. Well then, how about you come to my house for a little bit? It would be a lot better than living in the streets." The man said.

"Ok," Sol replied.

And so, Sol left with this new old man, hoping to get into those walls and save Sylvia.

I am writing on a combination of computer and phone. Sorry for any dumb mistakes I make because of it.

Also, you you guys like semi long chapters every other day or a little bit shorter chapters but every day?
