Chapter 21: A crafty plan

Next was the sprint competition to which many people were looking forward to as this was one of the most favorite sports on this Sports meet competition.

In total there were 12 participants who participated in this sprint competition 4 from each of the three universities the GCU, RMU and CU in which from GCU Rahul, Bharat, Deep and Laxman were participating.

Rahul was the favorite among them as since he was actually the fastest runner in the GCU College and he had won Gold medals in state level competition as well in the past so naturally he was very confident of himself.

While Deep and Laxman were the members of Rahul's group of friends so naturally they were loyal to him.

On the other hand Bharat was feeling nervous though he had a good Physique so he still had some confidence that he can participate in sports however he do not have much experience in the sprint nor was he good at it since he never practiced in a sprint competition before also he did not know about Rahul that he was one of the best sprint runners in GCU. He only came to know about this later when he told Gaurav that he had taken the challenge given by Rahul.

Gaurav told him that the challenge was only bait thrown by Rahul since they want to humiliate Bharat and kick him out of the college since Rahul was the fastest sprint runner in the GCU college and also won medals in state level competition so if Bharat was not good in the sprint running which he was not then he absolutely do not have any chance of beating Rahul on his own game in which he was the champion for the past few years.

Bharat only accepted the challenge because he had a lot of pressure on him since he was not accepted in so many colleges in Rajgarh Town so after coming to Rajgarh Metro city he absolutely did not want to miss the opportunity to enroll in the GCU since he got an enrollment letter at the first chance. So he did not wanted to leave this college just for a mere challenge from a fellow student of the university plus he had some hope in his new found abilities since he was always feeling very energetic it's just that he needs to try and give his best also now that he accepted the challenge he was ready to give his all to win the competition and even if this was a defeat he will gladly accept it since his parents has never taught him to back off from his own words.

On the other hand Rahul and his friends were very enthusiastic after seeing that their evil scheme against Bharat was successful as he did not back off from the challenge as they were afraid that Bharat may back out at the last minute.

Rahul said to his friends: "Guys did you do as I instructed you all."

Laxman said: "Yes Rahul we have come to know that freak Bharat will be running on track number 6 which has been assigned to him."

There were a total of 12 tracks which were assigned to 12 competitors of three different colleges randomly however this time because of Rahul's instructions his friends have come to know that on which track Bharat was going to run Beforehand through their sources in the management.

Rahul said: "Good and now you guys arranged and did the work which I instructed."

Deep said: "Yes Rahul we have arranged particles of broken glass and were able to spread it on the track number 6 on which Bharat is going to run."

Laxman said: "The Glass Particles are so small that no one will come to know about this, however if someone runs on it barefoot then the particles will cut and injure their foot."

Rahul said: "Good and did you guys make sure that nobody comes to know about this scheme of ours."

Laxman said: "You don't have to worry Rahul we never did these ourselves we just gave money to the workers who were doing the maintenance of the Sprint race tracks and we just looked after it from far so that no one can realize that it is us so you do not have to worry on this part."

Rahul said: "Good Job you guys now we just have to wait for the sprint race to start since all the schemes have already been laid out so now we just have to wait for the outcome. Since in this competition we are not allowed to wear any footwear to run so that's the reason I have arranged for this since the tracks are being specially prepared strictly under the supervision of the teachers so no hard particles can remain on the track to make sure that nobody is injured but now no one can save Bharat."

Deep said: "Yes we thought that Bharat will back out in the end but it is good that he has still appeared here to compete with us."

Rahul said: "Yes even I thought that he will back out since I am sure that he knows I have won state level competition in the sprint race and now even after knowing this he has appeared to compete so that means he overestimates himself and is arrogant then let him suffer and when he will lose this race we will force him to leave this college since he do not belong here as our standards do not match."
