Chapter 5: New bonds

After school, Charlie took us to a nearby restaurant for some food, where we met some friendly people and engaged in casual conversation. It was a pleasant time spent getting to know the locals and hearing stories about the town. Later, we left the restaurant and headed home.

As we arrived at our house, I decided to continue practicing my Biological Manipulation abilities. I focused on adjusting my skin texture and temperature, fine-tuning my control over these aspects before I applied it to my beloved Rosalie.

<Rosalie's POV>

After bidding farewell to Max at the end of class, I made my way to the school gate. However, I couldn't help but overhear Max talking with his sister, Bella. She was venting about Edward, and it annoyed me to hear that Edward was causing distress to Max's sister. This was definitely a topic to discuss with the family later.

Soon, I caught wind of the nickname Max had given Edward, and I couldn't help but giggle at the thought. I continued on my way, reaching my car and driving home.

Upon entering the house, I was about to head straight to my room when Esme, my adoptive mother, noticed the smirk on my face and inquired about it. I was about to respond when the door opened once again, and Sam and Emmett walked in. Sam greeted me with a smile, and I knew she was aware of my newfound mate bond.

"That's because our Rose here has finally found her mate," Sam revealed, causing a wave of excitement and congratulations from everyone present. I told everyone about how Max knew about the Mate bond due to his heightened senses like us. Esme, naturally curious, asked if he too, was a vampire.

"He claimed he isn't a vampire, and I believed him as his hand felt warm when I held it, and I even felt his heartbeat," I explained. "He mentioned he wants to discuss it in private, so we'll talk about it tomorrow."

Esme, eager for more details, wanted to delve deeper into the matter. However, realizing that I had shared all the information I knew, she dropped the topic. Sam then shifted the conversation to Edward's mate, which surprised me, as it turned out to be Max's sister, Bella.

Edward shared his frustration, mentioning that he couldn't read Bella or Max's minds. I couldn't help but think, 'At least some people have their privacy.' As this thought crossed my mind, Edward glared at me, further validating my point.

I soon got to my day, my thoughts consumed by the upcoming meeting with Max.

(Mid Night)

<Rosalie POV>

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed in my mind, sending shivers down my spine. "Rosalie."

My heart skipped a beat as I recognized Max's voice. The sheer intimacy of hearing him in my thoughts made my emotions soar. "Max?"

His voice resonated with warmth and tenderness, assuring me that our connection was strong. "You don't need to talk out loud. Just think of what you want to say to me."

I marveled at the depth of our bond, feeling a rush of affection and longing. "Can you hear me?"

His response, clear and unwavering, filled me with comfort and excitement. "Yes, I can hear you perfectly. Do you want to meet up? When I said we'll meet tomorrow, I actually meant after midnight."

A surge of anticipation flooded through me, and my heart fluttered in my chest. "Where should we meet?"

Max's voice was filled with a mix of eagerness and affection as he revealed the location. "I'm by *****, ******."

After that heartfelt exchange, the connection between us gradually faded, but I wasn't saddened. The anticipation of meeting Max in person outweighed any fleeting disappointment. With a rush of excitement, I hurriedly left my room, ensuring I looked my best for our rendezvous. Every choice I made, from my outfit to my hair, was carefully selected to captivate him.

As I made my way towards the door, ready to step out into the night, Esme's voice interrupted my departure. "Where are you going, Rosalie? Hunting?"

A soft smile curved my lips as I turned to face her. "No, Esme. Max asked to meet, so I'm going to where he is." The honesty and sincerity in my voice conveyed my excitement and the significance of this meeting.

Esme's smile mirrored my own, filled with understanding and support. She knew the depths of my longing for a mate and the joy I felt in finally finding Max. With her blessing, I continued on my way, eager to reunite with the love of my life.

<Maximus(Mc) POV>

I'm currently waiting for Rosalie to come. With each passing moment, my anticipation grew stronger. The thought of seeing Rosalie, my beloved mate, filled me with a sense of euphoria. The air was thick with the promise of romance as I waited patiently, imagining the moment our eyes would meet again, and the sparks that would surely fly between us.

After a few minutes, Rosalie came dashing towards me from a distance, moving so swiftly that she didn't need a car. Witnessing her eagerness to see me, even foregoing the convenience of a vehicle, brought a smile to my face, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

As she approached, I opened my arms, hoping for a warm embrace, and she gladly complied. Rosalie ran towards me and wrapped her arms around me, her momentum almost causing us to lose our balance. Without missing a beat, I lifted us both off the ground, soaring into the sky while holding her securely in my arms.

Rosalie, her golden eyes locked with mine, shook her head gently, a warm smile gracing her lips. "I trust you," she replied, her words laced with a serene confidence. The depth of her trust in me touched my heart, solidifying our connection.

Drawn by an undeniable magnetic pull, our faces drew closer, and our lips met in a tender, passionate kiss. Time seemed to stand still as our souls intertwined, lost in the sweet oblivion of the moment. Every sensation, every touch, conveyed a depth of emotion that words could not capture.

As our lips finally parted, Rosalie took in a deep breath, her chest rising and falling with a mix of exhilaration and need for air. The intensity of the kiss lingered in the air, an unspoken promise of the bond we shared.

With a gentle release of my telekinetic powers, I held Rosalie in the air, ensuring her safety and proximity. Looking into her eyes, I proposed, "How about going on a date now?"

Surprised by the spontaneity of the suggestion, Rosalie questioned, "Right now?"

A mischievous grin played on my lips as I replied, "Yes, even at 1:37 AM, there's always a place to hang out. So..." I snapped my fingers, and in an instant, we were transported to a new location.

We are currently in New York standing before an impressive building, its architecture commanding attention. Rosalie was initially shocked by all this but soon got over my over the top abilities. I held her hands and moved to the gate and when we entered, the general manager of the building came and greeted us.

"Master Swan, Miss Hale, we extend a warm welcome to ***** ****. Your exquisite accommodations on the top floor are equipped with every luxury and amenity this establishment has to offer. We hope your stay with us exceeds your expectations," the manager conveyed, exuding an air of professionalism.

As we made our way towards the elevator, I couldn't help but notice Rosalie's radiance in the glow of the building's grand foyer. Her beauty seemed to outshine the surroundings, leaving a lasting impression on those who caught a glimpse of her.

Just before stepping into the elevator, I leaned closer to the general manager and discreetly requested a special meal to be prepared by the talented chef and delivered to our room. The manager nodded with a knowing smile, assuring us that our request would be fulfilled.

Upon entering the room, our eyes were met with a breathtaking panorama of the cityscape. The illuminated skyline of New York City stretched out before us, painting a picture of a vibrant metropolis that never slept. The sheer beauty of the view left us momentarily speechless.

Rosalie, her gaze fixed on the mesmerizing city lights, turned towards me, her expression filled with curiosity. "You know I can't consume normal human food as a vampire, right?"

I gently took her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers, and replied with reassurance, "Oh, don't worry about that. I've taken care of it." Leaning closer, I pressed my lips against hers once more, pouring my love and dedication into the kiss. Rosalie surrendered to the embrace, feeling a gentle warmth spreading through her body as my Biological Manipulation abilities worked their magic.

Silently, I adjusted her vampire traits, making her skin impervious to the sparkling effect under sunlight. I softened the pallor of her complexion, lending a more natural radiance to her features. A surge of heat coursed through her, bringing a newfound vitality to her body. And most importantly, I fine-tuned her senses of taste and smell, allowing her to partake in the pleasures of human cuisine without any hindrance and enabling her body to derive nourishment from it.

As our kiss drew to a close, Rosalie felt a slight dizziness overcome her. Swiftly, I caught her in my arms and effortlessly teleported us to the nearby sofa. She nestled against me, her head finding solace on my shoulder, as we embraced the comfort and tranquility of the moment, lost in each other's presence.

After a few seconds, Rosalie loses consciousness and drifts off into a peaceful sleep, something she hasn't experienced for the better part of her whole existence. Nearly 40 minutes later, she slowly awakens.

As her eyes flutter open, she takes in her surroundings and a bright smile spreads across her face upon seeing me. The joy in her heart is evident, and it warms me to witness her happiness.

Noticing her awake, I playfully inquire, "Had a good nap?" My question reveals that she actually slept, which surprises her, given that vampires are believed to be incapable of such slumber. She gazes at her hands, no longer as pale as before, and as she touches her own skin, she senses a newfound warmth within her flesh.

Curiosity shining in her eyes, Rosalie looks to me for an explanation. In response, I gesture towards the table where a delectable feast has been meticulously prepared, and I suggest, "Let's talk as we indulge in some food. I'm sure you must be famished."

This time, Rosalie doesn't remark on her vampiric nature but instead follows me to the seat, her gaze fixed on the array of gourmet dishes laid out before us. The table is adorned with culinary delights that tantalize the senses.

There are succulent roasted meats, accompanied by colorful arrays of fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs. Delicate pastries and decadent desserts entice with their artful presentation and mouth watering aromas.

We settle into our seats, the atmosphere filled with a mix of anticipation and contentment. Rosalie's hunger becomes apparent as her eyes sparkle with delight, eager to savor the flavors that await us.

I sliced a tender piece of wagyu cow meat, perfectly glazed with the delectable sauce, and extended it towards Rosalie, urging her to taste it. Without hesitation, she took the morsel into her mouth, and a wave of astonishment and nostalgia washed over her as she savored the flavors.

After delicately feeding Rosalie the wagyu cow meat, I couldn't help but notice the array of emotions that flickered across her face. The taste of the food seemed to transport her to a different time, evoking memories long buried within her.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke, "This is the best day of my life. I've met my mate, and within a few hours, I find myself in this grand establishment, sharing a meal with him. These tears, they're tears of joy."

"As you've noticed, I've made you more... more complete, and these changes are permanent. I've given you human traits while preserving all the positive aspects of being a vampire."

Rosalie's eyes widened, a glimmer of hope shining through. "In all my years, I've had two dreams that have remained unfulfilled. One is to experience a deep, loving connection with someone I truly adore, and the other is to build a family with that person. Can I... can I now have a baby?"

I responded, "No." Her hope momentarily faltered, but I quickly added words that filled her heart with joy. "Not immediately, as it's something you haven't experienced at all. but you have tasted things like blood so it's easy to fix your sense of taste and besides, having your reproductive system online in an instant would give you a lot of pain more painful than childbirth so I'll make it so that the changes happen in a course of 3 months. This gradual process will ensure your reproductive system is fully functional without causing you undue pain or discomfort."

Overwhelmed with joy and relief, Rosalie couldn't contain her excitement. In a spontaneous gesture, she leaped into my lap, burying her face in my chest as tears of happiness streamed down her cheeks. I held her tightly, savoring the beautiful moment of pure bliss.

Returning to our meal, we continued to indulge in the exquisite dishes before us, each bite a celebration of flavors and newfound possibilities. The room was filled with the lingering aroma of gourmet cuisine and the clinking of wine glasses as we savored the delicate balance of flavors on our palates.

As the night unfolded, time seemed to slip away unnoticed. Engrossed in deep conversation, we shared our dreams and aspirations, forging an unbreakable bond. The hours melted into one another, until finally, the first rays of dawn painted the sky in a soft wash of colors, casting a gentle glow over our shared sanctuary.
